Anterior epistaxis is more common whereas posterior epistaxis is more dangerous (usually an elderly hypertensive patient). Nose picking and foreign bodies are common causes of nosebleed.

However, you could went into a bit more details about the anterior (Kiesselbach's) and posterior (Woodruff's) plexuses from which the bleeding occurs, as well as mention the emergency management for epistaxis (first aid) and other management modalities (i.e sphenopalatine artery ligation). I have never had a nosebleed before until today. Yes I had one booger yesterday and picked it out, but I wasn't scratching my nose. I am not elderly. It came out of the blue for me bc my nose did not feel dry. But to be specific I had a another booger blew my nose once & that's where the nose bleed came in what blew out. Afterward blowing nose once the blood came out once, there was no more bleeding, was not continuous. I was walking In cold weather yesterday maybe only 34 degrees, Im wondering may it causes mucousal dryness even though my nose did not fee dry
Hi Doc. Quick question please. I had 3 episodes when blood came out of my nose when I was in a relax state and with no reason what so ever.
I have narrowed it down to chilli consumption. All 3 times hapened after I ate something spicy: pepperony, chorizzo, and once thay food, but it doesn't happen every time I have something spicy so it might be a certain type of chilli pepper. Would that be possible?
I have to mention that I am consuming micro clustered water that caries nutrients faster through my blood and to my body cells.

I get nose bleeds consistently at least 2-3 times a month
I’m a brick layer and there is constant dust and I feel like that is it but I am not sure I’m 22 so I doubt it’s blood pressure but it could also be that I am not sure which of the two it is
I get nose bleeds when i eat to much sugar always have. .. when i got older i used to snort drugs, that made me bleed as well. Now i wake up in the middle of the night sometimes with nose bleeds. I dont do drugs or drink any more. I just think i weakened everything. On one side of the nostril. All started when i was 6 and my sister threw a ball at my nose. ... but then i made it worse with drugs.

Thanks ...but my dear friend: do not forget that hypertension is usually a reflex to the epistaxis i.e it is not the cause but the result of epistaxis and many many times the blood pressure becomes normal after cessation of the bleeding without starting antihypertensive medications.

Okay so I had my first nosebleed in years 2 weeks ago when I was sleep. It happened 2 days in a row. Now I’m having nosebleeds at night again this time it’s the 4th day in a row I’m having them. I even put a humidifier in my room last night

As of today, I'm no longer experiencing nose bleeding. My usual blood pressure is 130/80. My Doctor in Saudi gave me Sevikar medicine. It really helped me a lot.
Sometimes my nose bleeds from both sides at the same time it sucks. Last time I had a bloody nose (a few weeks ago) there was so much blood it was all over me and my face we called the ambulance and they helped and it stopped after they left 😁. I get bloody noses often but that was a very bad one it would not stop

@@eatingisgr8134 Im not sure if diet has much to do with it, but yes do try eating and drinking more. I used to eat barely nothing as a kid because of addiction, and the nosebleeds really took their toll on me. Mine last about 2-5min but can be pretty heavy. But if you're having that many nosebleeds, you're losing iron. So eating and drinking food needs to be your top priority to get more blood in your system. Check with your doctor to make sure it ain't HHT. Not many people know they got it

If some one can help me.. my wife is having nose bleeding after she had her COVID swab, and it’s not stopping. It bleeds every after 12 hours and it’s like crazy .. I have took her twice to emergency and doc say it’s normal, there is no any treatment for nose bleeding. Vici Kiki you’ll grow out of it, also 3 times a week isn’t much try dealing with 15 a day, I’ve had chemical cautery 13 times and electrical cautery twice and they still haven’t stopped. I’ve been told I won’t grow out of them (I’m 15 turning 16 soon).But don’t worry you’ll be fine, try to think positively.
