Lots of great choices here! 'Before the Coffee Gets Cold' is on my 'Read Soon' list, too. I love Time Travel books! 'Kite Runner' is definitely very interesting. I'm a mood reader as well, and I have a difficult time reading sad books. Always putting them off... ☺️ Enjoy your wonderful vacation!
I loved Cloud Cuckoo Land! It's one of my favourite books from recent years....I'm definitely going to reread it in the future. I thought it was so well done
Oh great to hear you liked it! I want to really try to prioritize it in December - I've had it sitting on my shelf for a few months now and think its about time I read it :)
The only one I’ve read of these is Before the Coffee Gets Cold, loved that! And if you do too, there are more books in the series to add to your tbr 😊 Several other I want to read too though, like Claire Keegan, Open Water, and Kite Runner - I’ve had that forever but keep putting it off for… yeah mood 😅 Enjoy your trip!
Yes I'm hoping I like before the coffee gets cold because I would love to read the whole series :) And I totally hear you on the mood reading - sometimes books just sit in my TBR for a year before I get around to reading them!
I just started Demon Copperhead and I'm loving it so far! It's actually my first book by her I've read - do you have recommendations on her other books I should read after? I'm definitely sold on her as an author after this one
I just finished Sweet Bean Paste by Durian Sukegawa, and it was so good. I am look forward to reading Cloud Cuckoo Land. Small Things Like These was good, too!
Small Things Like These is great, if you like that get Foster which is even better and then watch the film of it which is amazing. Open Water is good, and as a Londoner I felt like it was a very accurate portrait of modern day London. I have a very low tolerance for relentlessly miserable books, they almost never work for me, A Little Life is an exception, it's incredibly readable and the friendships in it are beautiful.
Oh! Had not heard of Foster, but adding it to my TBR - thank you for the recommendation! Glad to hear that you enjoyed both Open Water and A Little Life - certainly helps with motivation to actually get to reading these two next month rather than putting them off if others say they're worth the read!
I’m so excited for your reviews of Butter and Before the Coffee Gets Cold!!! 🎉❤

I feel like A Little Life is better off for like, sad cold January times. It was sooooo heavy and long
yah - maybe I'll do a sad book January and only read sad books all month haha
