I’m planning on purchasing this plane but I’m wondering, If I install a Specktrum Receiver with AS3X & Safe should I glue plywood to the foam and glue the Receiver to the thin Plywood? For the AS3X and Safe to work correctly it cannot move in the air frame, otherwise the gyro and safe won’t work with using Velcro. Thank you advance!👍😀
Hi simon it takes 6 screws and the wireing about 3 mins to wire up, I added a multiplex connector to my wing and can get it apart and together in just a couple on minutes
Hey there Red , can you guide me to a 1/4 scale spitfire , but wooden build , old school type. I saw some guy who laser cuts the patterns but cant find him again . I'm in new Zealand so dont have a great range available . Maybe some links to manufacturer or if you yourself have them
Red is the green decal that goes around the tail section need water or does it just stick on without water? I watched the video but still a little confused about the big circle decals, did you use water or just to slide into place?
All the transfers on the white backing are standard none water transfers and all of the transfers on the blue backing are waterslide transfers. Hope that helps
Unfortunately so. I am planning to shame the channel across to a new title but financial difficulties are stopping me.from.purchasing new models currently. Keep you eyes out as we might start doing some new stuff soon
Great video and very appreciated. Followed it to put together my Spitfire today
It’s awesome to see it put together
Thanks Tom, your build videos are some of the best and most informative available on You Tube.

Great, informative video. Thanks!!....
Great video. I was just wondering how easy and how long it takes to mount the wings and take off for transport in the car. Regards Simon

Would be good to show how to apply the markings, still haven’t applied mine through confusion
Well done, its a beautiful model but alas.....a bit too big for my field!
Hi, great video. Just wondering if you have a link to a more detailed application of various decal types?
Thanks

Where would you suggest putting the receiver in the model?. A reply would be refreshing.
sorry for the delayed reply I velcroed the rx on the side of the fuse above the hole for the servo leads

Are the lights able to be turned on/off via the transmitter and if so does that require a channel or are they on permanently once you plug them in.
+John McGahern the are perminantly on
Okay, thanks.
What camera are you guys using ?
+Mckaylund Tuttle a sony ax53 camcorder
Where did you place the RX ???

@@REDSRADIOCONTROL will do! and the best of luck to you moving forward.
Nice plane but would look much better without the lights.
+Harvey Stork you can just not plug them in if you dont want them on. Thats whats great about it
Well it's obvious they can be left unplugged, they just look ridiculous on or off. Nice plane otherwise.
Spitfires have lights just like any other aeroplane so why do they look ridiculous?
Red, when you went talking about gluing the tail to the fuse, you mention hoopor as a type of adhesive. What exactly is hoopor(sp)?
UHU POR is the glue i was meantioning. :)
