I’m French and half of my family is from Brittany. They have such a strong shared culture, history and language with the Welsh that I grew up thinking that Merlin roamed the forests of Brittany (namely Broceliande, with was hit so hard by the violent storms of 1987)…
Anyway, I’m very grateful that you included the French part in the story of Merlin because so few do it. Merlin is intrinsically part of the Celtic-Christian culture as a whole. The British too often forget that Brittany had a big part in it - that’s where the British nobility hid all the time, for starters. Thanks 🙏🏼

And the Cornish too- Cornwall and Brittany very closely linked from ancient days and much coming and going between us- more in fact than welsh and Brittany, the Brythonic language between Cornwall and Brittany is almost identical, and when fishermen came to Cornish ports ( and visa versa ) around 50 years ago they spoke Brythonic with each other.
      All very interesting. 😊

Arthur was know king at all. He was known as the the “Boar of Cornwall”. His
infamous knights of the round table truly were bloodthirsty murderous thugs. Merlin on the other hand was truly a man of peace, for a time. Merlin was born on May 1st, 449 a.d. His first name, Merlin means the one with great knowledge. The Welsh version of Merlin is: Myrrdin, which means ‘the laughing one’. His last name was Emrys (Welsh), which means Ambrosia/Ambrosius, so he was also called Merlin/Myrddin Ambrosius Merlin’s mother was a daughter of the King Of the Demetier region. Merlin's father, King Morvyrn, was a visionary, and these visionary capabilities led to Merlin being referred to as a "scion of the devil," a magician, a sorcerer. The naïveté and simplicity of the Christian interpretation held that Merlin and his father's paranormal abilities meant that they were satanical, and that father and son were allied with the devil and thus fathered by him. Merlin was also a bard, a doctor, a teacher, a prophet, a historian and ultimately the Prince and King of the Druids of the Demetier tribe from South Wales. This whole area was the homeland of the Celts. The Plejaren Keridwena, who was a sister of Ptaah’s grandfather Ezekiel. Thus an Aunt of Sfaath, was sent on a mission to instruct Merlin in Henoch's teachings. Merlin, being a Celtic druid, was chosen in the hoped that with his help, Arthur, would transform Henoch's teachings of love, peace, harmony and the freedom and equality for all people into reality. The Holy Grail? A Grail was a sacred place with a spring, usually located on a mountain that the Celts considered a nature sanctuary, where also a druid’s grove was erected, surrounded by trees and other plants and was where the druids meditated in deep consciousness-related interconnection with water, the earth and plants as well as with the inexhaustibleness of life. These holy places were intended as places of meditation for the druids. They were numerous and indeed existed wherever druids lived and fulfilled their obligations. Over the years and centuries after this time Christian writers changed the word grail to mean the actual vessel, or cauldron into which Myrddin put Keridwena’s transcription of Henoch’s teaching. This is a fabrication woven into the stories and passed down through the ages as scripture which are nothing but falsehoods and fantasies. The grail was a place and had nothing to do with the apparent ’‹holy grail’ of Christianity which was only based on lies and deception; it never existed and therefore was not used by Joseph of Arimathea to collect the blood of Jmmanuel (Jesus) at his crucifixion as Christian lore attests, which on top of everything, represents a mishmash of different time periods, given that Myrddin existed about 350 years after the death of Jmmanuel. The true ‘holy grail’ only existed as a holy place.

The wisdom of the ancestors has been burned, destroyed, stolen, and hidden from us.
Who knows how many thousands of books on magic have been locked away in the Vatican, never to be seen again.
If we want to restore the use of magic, or if we want to see Merlin again, we have to experiment and research into magic ourselves; and re-discover what the ancestors already knew.

@@Alizudo I already discovered or rediscovered many. I see different worlds too. We're not alone. I actually did publish the very key that can reprogram your mind, so you will be able to see past all these lies and become more. I feel I started to evolve rather than grow old and die. But that state isn't easy to reach. And if you desire to go to different worlds, the better ones in comparison only let the worthy in. The better the world the bigger the price you can say. There are people in this world who are convinced that religion is bs so they can be a bad person like mafia because it doesn't matter. Well, religion is in fact bs. But it does matter what kind of person you are. Only the kids have got an excuse if their parents were bad who only teach them bad things. But a fully grown man who actually can tell a difference between what's good and bad, that person has got no excuse. And soon or later justice will find them. It is also the reason why so many wisdoms may got lost, because the people became more and more unworthy over the centuries. To be honest I haven't met many who actually try to make a change in the world. Most people only work for themselves and enjoy themselves. You've gotta give something too!

The story goes like this: Arthur’s father, Uther Tudur Pendragon, fell in love with Queen Ygerna of Cornwall, the young and beautiful wife of Gorlois, Duke and Prince of Cornwall. Ygerna, however, was faithful to her husband. So Uther Pendragon sought the support of Merlin and devised an intrigue to abduct the Queen of Cornwall and seduce her. Merlin lured Gorlois away from his castle on a pretext in order for Uther Pendragon to secretly snatch Ygerna at night and bring her to Tintagel. A confidante of Merlin who was also a servant to the Queen Ygerna of Cornwall then administered a drug to her, and she reached a hallucinogenic and will-less state.
Ygerna was kidnapped from the castle and taken to a certain place where Uther Tudur Pendragon and several male and female druids where already assembled under Merlin’s leadership. Inside the circle they formed, Uther and the drugged (will-less) Ygerna performed the procreation. From their union, Arthur/Artus/Arthus was born on January 4, 469. Uther Tudur did not leave that matter to rest for long - the very same night he let Ygerna’s prince consort Gorlois be killed by his own bloodthirsty knights. The plan he devised with Merlin thus ended with complete success, Ygerna’s husband now out of the way. When Gorlois’s dead body was returned to Tintagel, Ygerna was already back home, but was now made pregnant by Uther Tudur and was still highly intoxicated by the drug and did not realize what had really happened, since she only later learned everything. The Caladvwlch sword (pronounced Caladfluch) was known as a “lightning sword“ because it emitted lightning-like rays. It later became known as Cliburn and was rendered falsely by the church and its Latin language as Excalibur. It was a light ray-weapon in the form of a sword, forged on the Isle of Avalon under the guidance and with the participation of the ] Keridwena, a sister of the grandfather Ezekeel[.Keridwena (The Triple Godess) gave it as a gift to Merlin, who later handed it to Arthur, who then fought many bloody battles with it. All of Keridwena’s efforts to regain possession of the sword failed because it had been abused. Hence, she was very angry with Merlin but could not persuade him to demand Arthur’s sword back and return it to her. It was only after Arthur’s death that the sword was reclaimed by Merlin and returned to the Plejarin Keridwena, after which she left Earth. She had already angrily ceased contact with Merlin at the time when Arthur committed his first murderous deeds with the sword. The purpose of the sword and Henochs teachings to Merlin and on to Arthur were to stop the cult of Christianity.

Arthur is not mentioned by Gildas or Bede, and Arthur’s story is not narrated by Nennius, Malmsbury (1st chronicle), and Huntingdon, and was mocked by Newburgh. Arthur’s story only arrived in 1135, when Crusaders and Templars arrived back from the First Crusade, and this story was narrated by Monmouth and Oxford. So who was King Arthur?
The clue is that the Round Table was modelled on the Last Supper table (see book: Merlin Grail). So King Arthur and his twelve knights of the round table, are synonymous with King Jesus and his twelve disciples of the round last supper table. And the table itself was modelled upon the Jewish zodiac at Hamat Teverya on the Sea of Galilee, and its twelve constellations. In addition, many of the early manuscripts say that Arthurian legend was written by Josephus Flavius - which has caused a great deal of head-scratching.
So what is the answer to all this? In reality, the Crusaders brought home the secular history of Jesus. But since this story was highly heretical, they formulated this story into Arthurian legend. The uncomfortable truth is that King Arthur was King Jesus.

'The Keys to Avalon' by Lloyd and Blake places the original historical events in Wales, related in the Black Book of Carmarthen. There are no round table or twelve knights there, that was a later elaboration, probably in the Crusades era as you say. The deceptive conception of Arthur in the Black Book of Carmarthen is a riff on the ancient Greek myth of the conception of Heracles. Myrddin is probably an echo of Tiresias. Mix 'n' match.

no we are not, 'Merlin's' paintings are amazing! I came to the comments specofically to see if anyone else mentions him -however from the tone of your comment, i'm think i might be a bit more in awe of this individual! He's channelling his inner Merlin - good on him!

@@ivanmac89 Quite a darned few - been a member of The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids since about 1994. How many do you know? I really couldn't count all of the ones I know or have known...including the Chosen Chief of OBOD, Philip Carr-Gomm and the Secretary of the Order Stephanie Carr-Gomm...did some camping and forest exploring with them for several days at Millersylvania State Park in Washington state one year for Samhain. The "Awen" is much more of a "blessing" than a frenzy, poetic or otherwise. I believe many druid types are quite poetic but that goes with the territory...the Bardic level is often concerned with memory - for the Bards kept track of the ancient stories and songs, learned and recorded them in their heads for retelling the traditions, to keep the memories and most basic lessons alive for the next generations. Once one had those down throughout the course of their studies, they move on to more otherworldly pursuits and interests.

@@ivanmac89 I don't want to shock you but, I also know what year it is. Druids are all over the planet even today...by the hundreds of thousands if not millions. There are many druidic orders about these days, all over the world. They don't always agree and some Orders have it in for other Orders...but I think we can blame that more on "social media" than any real differences of the fundamentals of Druidry. If you or anyone else is interested there is a great book in the "Elements Of" series about Druidry, written by Philip Carr-Gomm. A brief, easy book to get through.
