I'm 55 and have litened to Liz since 14 yrs and can honestly say that you have achieved and been careful about the nuances of her voice.
I'm quite impressed by how natural and meaningful your art is.
I think Liz would kind of be chuffed to hear you sing this.

At the risk of angering those of us who are lifelong Cocteau Twins fans, I'm going to say right now that your version is better than theirs. At least 7 or 8 times I've listened to both versions back-to-back, and this one is the best. It shows not only your tremendous talents, but also demonstrates the reverence with which you approach this song and your other covers as well. Thank you, thank you.

Your beautiful voice is perfekt for this song! ❤Even though I've heard the original hundreds of times, this version with your voice touched my heart. It's not possible to sing it better! The only difference compared to Liz`voice is the different timbre. In 1995 I bought Milk & Kisses immediately after its release in Germany. I remember initially listening to each song for about 15 seconds out of curiosity. have alluded to. I was so captivated by Seekers Who Are Lovers that I had to listen to it all the way through and then immediately again. Of all the Cocteau Twins songs, this one is in my top 5.

What makes this so amazingly spectacular, is that it just as hard to hear the lyrics, as was the original, yet it a carbon copy, beautiful and perfect!
Am I hearing “clover saliva”? That’s what I heard years ago, and can’t comprehend any other lyric there???
I sang “clove of saliva”. I am not sure if it’s correct but I think she said something close to that! 🙂

How fabulous! I prefer their BBC live version, as I think the high vocals and huge reverb kinda swamp the album version, and mask the gorgeous main melody. Yours is better for that! X
