Keith I’m driving from my 2nd job to the third laughing my ass off so hard I had to pull over! I just started my gutter cleaning email blast to my customer list and have completed a few so far. Profits are definitely there when you charge correctly. You always bring new perspective to my thought process. Thank you. Keep up the funny phenomenal work!
Me and a buddy did seasonal gutter cleaning for PM companies on residential rental homes. I remember one job was a high 2 story with a tile roof that had moss and I literally had to stick my foot in the gutter to keep me from falling. I'll NEVER do that to myself again. Regular single story shingle roofs were cake. We did it the old fashioned way with scoops and a bucket and would set up the customer's green waste on the side of the house at the lowest point and dump our buckets from the roof when they got full. We knocked out some houses in 10 mins. Love your videos man!!
If this wasn't the funniest video by far....I completely forgot the purpose for watching it. Q tips..😂😂... Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with the world
We stopped cleaning gutters several years ago. FYI, The subcontractor that we use for gutter cleaning does not provide any other services, only gutter cleaning. He blows out the gutters with a handheld blower that has an extension on it maybe 18” or so. Then he sprays them off with his own hose. All from the roofs not by walking around the house/garage with a ladder. He’s booked solid and charges $65.00 for most houses that we used to charge $150-$180. Affordable and quality work. He works alone.
This is the funniest home maintenance video I have ever seen. Great job. The people he is imitating are real so watch out if you are a service provider.
I love the way you break everything down. I am very detail oriented and I like to do my due diligence. Letting the customer know what you are doing and what they are paying for ahead of time save a lot of time and headache. That is why I go over everything that I can with them and have it written out.
Just came back to this video after I saw it several years ago and I could not wait to watch it again because I remember how much I laughed. You have the same sense of humor I do man I don't have a great time working with you hahaha
I own Aviator LawnCare, a landscaping business in Maryland and YOU sir..... Have just earned my subscription. I literally feel EVERY bit of your frustration! Thank you for this informative video sir!
I think the best way is to dig in with your hand first because if you blow out mud and water that's been there for years it's gonna get allover the place and stink
Hey there Keith - just noticed your vid and I can completely understand where you’re coming from. I’ve been doing gutter cleans in oz for over ten years and when I upped my price from $150 to $250 min my job strike rate was way higher. ( go figure??) great rant .. loved it.
I sooo f’ing love it it when you freak out reliving the scene...like Black Hawk Down...you’ve got a clear case of PTSD... and I totally know what you mean!
I hate doing gutters especially with guards and non walkable roofs. I don’t advertise for it but if a regular customer ask me or an add on service for a new client I take on the job. I clean them by hand, to me it just seems as though there isn’t any time being saved once you blow debris everywhere and have to clean it up.
Man I absolutely love your rendition of the customers! :-) that is exactly the way they are in it it makes me laugh! Great Channel! I just subscribed! :-)
Gutter vacuum seems like a bright idea. But for some reason on long island my customer's gutters ALWAYS has cement in them lol. So that vacuum you speak of. Would never work. Lol
MY MAN!! I struggled with pricing until last year. I was charging $25-$35. Looking so silly at myself after talking to a roofing buddy who has a minimum of $250 to just get on a roof for the first hour. Is it worth 20-50 bucks if you fall or something happens???? I have upped my prices and using my bucket truck is $165 an hour and time starts when I leave the shop. Thanks for all the helpful tips bro. Very grateful
Another awesome video! Inherent lately since I been posting jobs on my UA-cam comments of people telling me of how I did this or that job wrong ! I completely understand what your saying !
Lmao. You’re so real man! I’ve learned a lot from your content. Off topic but I used to work for Scientology in LA. Live in Texas now. You mentioned you like Grant Cardone. He’s actually a Scientologist and most of his info comes from L. Ron Hubbards teachings. Like the 10x theory. A little random but I’ve had a few drinks lol.
Video so funny im watching it twice lol love your videos man keep it up.. i dont do this type of business i do construction but it never hurts to learn from others
Amazing video, I enjoy quoting gutters over the phone, when I ask when the last time they were cleaned and they tell me in the spring. Oh is that right, why is there 3 foot trees growing out of the gutters🥴
Dude I can feel the truth of this video stabbing me in the soul about miscommunication with customers lol however my question is, how do you differentiate what mess you made from blowing out the gutters and what mess already existed in the flower beds? Seems like alot of customers would take advantage of that and use it as an excuse to get free flower bed cleanup as well.
Take a picture before you start and when you're done if you think it'll be a problem. Most of my clients are regulars for lawn maintenance that I know I don't have to worry about but I will do one timers on occasion and make sure to document any iffy situations.
Dude!!! Keith!!! This video is GOLD!!! Haha I can’t tell you how many times this made me laugh! Thank you! I am headed to quote a gutter cleaning for one of my mowing customers now
Hahaha you had me cracking up! Nice vids! Keep up the great work! Like watching your videos since they had thought me so much!my 1st season of landscaping is going good thanks because of you!
How does walking the property to rake up the stuff you’ve blown out, and possibly washing off dirt and other debris from the siding, take shorter amount of time than inching the ladder around and using bucket sponges and gloves lol. You’re the man, Kalfas
Rent a ladder from Home Depot. Definitely charge more. I’ve been in that position haha I do Holiday lights and offer gutters while we’re up there. Hahaha that’s so funny! Tell the customer it’s going to be additional money to do it a different way! This is how gutter clean ups are done for this price. We will clean up leafs after we blow it off.
I told someone I’d trim a tree for $20, and it was around 30 ft tall. I had a 3 layers of scaffolding, extension ladder, and kombue pole saw with attachments hanging over this tree to trim it for 3 hrs strait. It was pretty rough.
Don’t forget the homes with the fun “gutter guards” that they expect you to remove. Nope, not falling for that one again...WE DONT DO REMOVABLE GUTTER GUARDS YO
we publish our method, and that's usually how we do it cuz it's faster , but it also says we can use alternative method if necessary....lol..... we clean the bulk debris, rinse with hose , blow clean n dry, and go. I blow everything that will blow , hand scoop and throw the rest ( worker on ground cleanup behind me) then take my 200ft ZERO G hose and wash the rest straight down. Then cleanup ground ( french drain if necessary) . usually takes me 20 mins. My advertising also says if arrive and after asking if you have an unwalkable 12 12 pitch, and you say no but you do We can refuse
Hahaha Awesome video- oddly enough we did 12 gutter jobs today. We do mostly window cleaning but I’m trying to create the best system for gutters so we can dive more into the market, because it CAN be so profitable, with the right system.
Keith I’m driving from my 2nd job to the third laughing my ass off so hard I had to pull over! I just started my gutter cleaning email blast to my customer list and have completed a few so far. Love the bonus rants. Keep ranting my man!!!! Helps other people either relate or avoid the pain. Customers will eat you alive if you let them.
My experience is the higher paying jobs are the least picky and the best customer
If this wasn't the funniest video by far....I completely forgot the purpose for watching it. Q tips..😂😂... Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience with the world

65 is cheap 😧😧
Way too cheap.
Sounds REALLY messy
This is the funniest home maintenance video I have ever seen. Great job. The people he is imitating are real so watch out if you are a service provider.
You should do comedy sketches on things customers say on jobs. That reinactment was totally on point!
Lol
This dude has Christmas vacation frustrated rant cracking up as his spirit animal 😂
"I had to immediately remove it from the website" best line ever😂
Lol
Wait.. I pull my phone out of my pocket because I thought my phone froze. Only to find out, your staring into the camera lololol
I love the way you break everything down. I am very detail oriented and I like to do my due diligence. Letting the customer know what you are doing and what they are paying for ahead of time save a lot of time and headache. That is why I go over everything that I can with them and have it written out.
I’m listening to this while working and it got quiet around 7:00 and I’m like ‘what happened to the sound?’ And I look and see your face. 🤣
This is the funniest video I have ever seen about cleaning gutters
What tools do you need for gutter cleaning?
Thank you for an amazing business idea. I'm going to start a q-tip gutter cleaning service!
85$ ?
Just came back to this video after I saw it several years ago and I could not wait to watch it again because I remember how much I laughed. You have the same sense of humor I do man I don't have a great time working with you hahaha
Lol nice
Yes. Boundaries and communication. Thank you for keeping things light Keith.
I agree. I use backpack blower. Wouldn’t even do it with a bucket and scoop.
Im opening a small gutter and vinyl siding business and appreciate seeing this
Keith my man, that rant reminded me of Clark Griswold when he found out his Christmas Bonus
That's the way my husband use to do it, his face priceless!!! Lol. That when you know you fucked up
8:40 super hilarious 😂
I own Aviator LawnCare, a landscaping business in Maryland and YOU sir..... Have just earned my subscription. I literally feel EVERY bit of your frustration! Thank you for this informative video sir!
This is comedy gold. Thanks for sharing this man. I am not thinking about the gutter cleaning business but what you shared is very spot on!
Learning is fun; I learned so much and laughed so much--a great combination--learning is about memory; I only watched it again for the humor!
I think the best way is to dig in with your hand first because if you blow out mud and water that's been there for years it's gonna get allover the place and stink
“But Joe used to do it for $50.00” 🤣
Bro , you're got me cracking up with these customer impressions, but spot on!!! LMAO! Keep up the videos, great stuff!
Excellent video I’m going to star my business this year thank you for your blessing information
Blow the leafs out, use a blower to gather the leafs and rake. Makes alot of sense.
Great video! I appreciate how realistic you are about these jobs.
I’m dying! This is too real 😂😂😂
Lol funny thanks
Great video! LOL. The sticky situation is usually a result of your greed coming head to head with your knowledge/experience.
It was f****** hilarious especially with those facial expressions but I have to admit you keeping it real!
This was hilarious keith. Great video, im about to share with friends 🤣
I hate doing gutters especially with guards and non walkable roofs. I don’t advertise for it but if a regular customer ask me or an add on service for a new client I take on the job. Kieth, I do gutter cleaning exclusively in my business and your painted situation and impression of the customer is spot on.

Gutter vacuum seems like a bright idea. But for some reason on long island my customer's gutters ALWAYS has cement in them lol. So that vacuum you speak of. Would never work. Lol

We still have a $200 minimum for gutters and it works great!
Even on small 1 story houses?
@@brandonl2175 for sure. That's what the minimum is for. We have used that for so many years..We are now going to a $250 minimum soon.

If you want to laugh your a$$ off, skip to 6:40
Hey Keith sorry if you already posted one but was hoping you might be able to do a how-to video on pruning ornamental vines?
Bruh you're wild 🤣
Amazing video,

Very funny .... Keith that was gold!!! 😆😆🤑
Keith, you still doing gutters? This was recorded 3 years ago and I’m just watching now. Is it still a good service to keep offering in 2023?
This is the first video of yours I've laughed at!
I can totaly relate to this! love your rants dude! 😂
Haha thanks G
There is a third option: you can vacuum out the gutters with a wet/dry vacuum or a gutter vac..
Great video

I’m rollin man... Ohhh man ur too much I love it!

How does walking the property to rake up the stuff you’ve blown out, and possibly washing off dirt and other debris from the siding, take shorter amount of time than inching the ladder around and using bucket sponges and gloves lol. You’re the man, Kalfas
