The editing style, straight to the point, no unnecessary background music, very detailed video is just chef's kiss 🤌🏻! Love the sound of this exhaust i think I'll be getting it for my bike thanks.
Man, i really appreciate the amazing comment. You will not be disappointed in the exhaust aound. Absolutely love it and people always comment on it as well in person. You won't be disappointed.
@CrossplaneNation No problem man I meant every word keep up the good work 💪. Question how long have you been running this exhaust and have you had any issues like exhaust leaks ?
Thanks again! I have had the exhaust on the bike for about 2 months now. No exhaust leaks or cosmetic issues at all. I did buy tighter springs that hold the exhaust can to the pipe for a more secure fit. @@619WISHY
@CrossplaneNation Ok cool yea I do remember you mentioned that in the video about the springs. Do you have a link for the servo buddy ? Also did you reinstall the 02 sensors to new pipe ? Thanks for responding.
O2 sensors were reinstalled to the new pipe with out any issues, as shown in the vid at the end. As far as the servo buddy, I bought it from revzilla.@@619WISHY
I appreciate how straight to the point this video is, subsequently have subscribed mate
The bike actually seems to idle and run pretty decently from the full factory exhaust to basically being decated, it seems with the 2020 face lift that Yamaha seems to have updated the fuelling or fuel sensors, because bikes prior to the newest ones would idle and run terribly until remapped
Welcome, and ty for the sub my friend.
Got me here smiling love the outcome, dream bike right there for sure
The sound in person is insane. Hope one day you get one!!!
the bewilderment at the end is priceless 😂
It is insane…
sounds like heaven.
It's been a nice exhaust given the price so far!
Great video. Straight to the point.
Thanks man!!!
I put this same exhaust on my 23’ MT10, Very loud!
Yes it is...how do you like it?
@@CrossplaneNation I love it, definitely can hear the bike from far away
Did you have to get the MT10 tuned after that? I have a 2024 and I'm looking to get an exhaust
I didn't tune mine for almost a yr. Ran fine. Will need a servo buddy if u dont tune, provided the mt10s have that in the exhaust.
I have this can on my RS660 attached to my SC project exhaust. It sounds insane snd I only paid $70 lol
That is a steal. Crazy how these cheap exhausts sound good.
Great video I hate videos with music cutting in and out I wanna hear and see exactly what you showed great video 👏
Thanks my friend. I try my best to get straight to it. Appreciate it!
@@CrossplaneNation about to buy a 2024 r1 in 4 weeks so ordering the exhaust you have tomorrow so I have it ready, do you happen to have a link to the servo buddy you bought?
Yes. The servo buddy I bought has worked perfectly, and it has not thrown any codes at all. The exhaust is still performing nicely and still sounds great. The edge of the can turned a little bronze in color over time, but doesn't look badly at all. For the price and sound, you will geek out after you hear it.
Well just got my 2024 r1 yesterday and followed this video putting same exhaust on :-) I fucking love it, the pops the bangs on shifts omg so good I also fitted the blasterX rear light using your other video and I put a tail tidy bike looks completely different now 🥰🙏 soon illl get a new air filter and tune and it will be sweet !!Thanks man
@OldEnglishMan heeeck yeah, makes a huuuge difference. Glad the vids helped you out! Awesome job 🔥.
Cool video n nice bike dude👍
Thanks man. 🤘🤘🤘
Great vid been watching the gsx 250r videos great channel hope to get a bike soon
Thanks man, appreciate it. I hope to get some more content up as soon as this weather makes up its mind here. Hope you get a bike sooner than later.
sounds evil, amazing sound
Something about that crossplane makes me gravitate back to the R1 every time!
Music to my ears ❤
Has been a really good exhaust sound wise and for the price.
Just an FYI, servo buddies are not necessary unless you are trying to save a few oz of weight. You can remove the cables and reinstall the actuator motor with no codes
How do u install the servo motor with a cat delete no servo system?
@@CrossplaneNation Youre removing the actual servo butterfly, but leave the actuator plugged in under the seat, no cables on it. The ECU will actuate it, but it wont do anything because the two cables are unhooked. Exactly how it is on my 23 S1000R. No CEL because the actuator is still actuating. ECU is detecting resistance, just like a servo buddy is causing the ECU to do, but no servo buddy needed. Just keep the actual actuator motor installed. The portion on the exhaust with the butterfly goes bye bye when you decat the bike
Good info for sure. I just figured that's one less thing the ecu is having to do.
@CrossplaneNation yea it's just a little loophole. Most people don't think about it that way and servo buddies are so popular everyone thinks they're necessary when doing decat, but the ECU is sending voltage to the EXUP system either way so no harm doing either, one just doesn't cost anything. You can even do this on OEM exhaust by flipping the servo butterfly open after removing the cables. It'll just stay open
excellent info my friend. This will def help someone not wanting to spend the money on a servo buddy, for sure! Happy new year and thanks again. @@steve7572
Very nice and detailed installation. Where did you get the servo buddy?
Thanks my man. I purchased the servo buddy from revzilla.
You probably already got one,but i was about to order it off revzilla myself but most of the comments from people are saying its a waste of money its pointless ,some say the codes remain while others are saying no codes pop up at all just installing this exhaust.hopefully i wont need the servo either🤞🏽
@@gemini_mann Yes, I got the Akro GP and 3/4 pipe. I also got my ECU flashed by Attack Performance and they advised me to take off the O2 sensors and Servo. NO CODES. The difference between the $250 ebay pipe and Akro is the finish of the pipe, the Akro has a blue tint and it looks very cool, while the ebay pipe is brownish. You will need the $500 belly pan to cover the pipe not unless you are ok with the discoloration of the ebay pipe. Your bike will look PREMIUM with the Akro.
@@JuniorJr_23 thanks for the response, I appreciate the advice.i actually just got the “austin racing” knockoff on ebay.pretty much the same exact one as this but i don’t mind the bottom showing for now i just want that sound lol.
@@gemini_manndod u end up need the servo too late 4 me I already installed it lol but would've been nice if not needed. Did your r1 throw codes ?
Great video.
Thanks, my man, appreciate that. I hope to get some more out there soon!
if you're using, t-handles with locking pliers from harbor freight, then it's time to invest in a socket allen set. I use it a lot on my 14 r1 and now since i have a 23 r1, i'm ready to tackle whatever. *note: i've done a top end rebuild and engine swap myself on the 14 r1
I bought a set awhile back!
Sounds great. I would've just drilled some holes in the side of the stock exhaust. I call it the cheese grater race mod. It sounds pretty sweet.
Doh 🤪
Great video! What’s the purpose of the servo motor. Sorry for the ignorance.
It opens and closes a calve in the exhaust...for back pressure.
@@CrossplaneNation alright. Thank you
@gruhnchris welcome!
I've literally got the same bike and I've just ordered the same exhaust. Thank you for the video.
How's the wear been on it?
Wear has been great. The tip of the exhaust turned golden in color, but other than that...worth it.
The black rigid bit at the end? That turned gold?
Yes, the hexagonal looking cap on the can.
Nice 😎
Link of the exhaust bro, sounds and looks amazing 🤤 🤤
Thanks my man, appreciate that.
I bough it on eBay here: ebay.us/MxbRWV
Thank you my brother. The exhaust looks like 1000$
Lol
man it is holding up and still sounding great. best 250 on an exhaust hands down. @@2991jr
Does this fit 2024? Or do you have a link im ready to buy! And i assume i go to rev zilla for a servo buddy? Or do u have a link. Literally gonna purchase asap if u have the links! I have a 2024 r1 and same color as you😍
The link should be in the video description. I would check the link to see if they updated it to fit a 24. I did go to revzilla for the servo buddy as well. For the price, it looks and sounds really nice. You will he floored after the installation.
Did u need to tune the bike for this did it throw codes ?
Haven't tuned it but no issues. You will need that servo buddy or it will throw a code.
Need to try an line mine up better on the exhaust bracket
At first, I bolted it to the front of the bike mount and then realized it fit better on the back side. I put a bolt in the hole where the hanger bracket mounts to the bike and then pulled the exhaust forward, secured the pipes to the headers, and everything lined up nicely. YOU were my inspiration on this, my man. Thank you so much! You guys make sure you go give @Odeezy182 a follow.
@@CrossplaneNation nice! An I appreciate that 😎 you really couldn't beat $250 exhaust like that honestly, sounds great an looks great also! You did awesome on the video 🤘
I really appreciate that. 🙏 People have no idea how deafening this exhaust is in person, it's insane, but lovely 😍.
short pipes for me are the worst for cp4 engine. I think akrapovic does bring the sound well
We stand across the line then, lol...not a big fan of those full mufflers...guess that is why they have a variety to please us all!!!
Nice but what about coffmen
The Coffman's exhaust looked really silly, imo and is about $1k bux or more. Wanted to change it up from the last build and go in a different direction. I was really impressed with this inexpensive eBay exhaust.
are you getting it flashed?
Yes. I am going to do a 1 inch lowering link and have it dyno tuned here in a few months or so.
Bro, what are you doing with the plug under the seat?
It was with the tst industries bs license plate I bought that I had to trash because it wasn't dot approved...
Did you have to tune the bike?
No tune is needed after installation. But I will here soon to get all the throttle restrictions taken off.
AAwesome
🤩
Where did you find that exhaust? I
ebay.us/MxbRWV this where I bought the exhaust! I bought the servo buddy from revzilla.
got the same exhaust for 22' r1 havent tuned at all ,she does run a little hot and lean do you get the same problem??
Mine runs very gassy, but does not run hot bc the factory fans kick on when they are supposed to cool. Your fans not kicking on when needed? I bought mine new so no previous owner issues as well.
@@CrossplaneNation it does kick on around 220 when i turn off my bike not sure if it kicks on while riding yea she loves drinking 93 supreme lol
When I flash mine, ill prob have mine kick on around 195ish
My o2 sensor doesn't fit what should I do?
did the exhaust come with bolts in the 02 sensor holes? if so, take the bolts and find a nut they fit on...then, take that nut and see if it fits on to the 02 sensor(s)...if it does, then the size is right...
If all of that does not work, contact the seller, file a return claim, and get a replacement...I know that sux af...I didn't have that issue of course, or I would have a definite answer...this is what I would do tho...
What is the name of that plug?
the plug?
Rip neighbors lol
🤣fortunately, we live out of the city where the houses are spread out nicely apart. They still catch it though a little.
Link please ? On this exhaust
www.ebay.com/itm/125864585280
Did it ever throw a CEL ?
No it did not. Servo buddy took care of that, unless u get a flash tune to remove it.
how long can you go without a flash after doing a cat delete?
I haven't flashed mine yet and it is just fine. Plan on the flash tune and dyno this summer...
@@CrossplaneNation Thanks for the info, it sounds incredible. I’m just nervous as Ive read that engines have blown up after a cat delete and no tune.
Well, I can say that I am not out racking it up 12k rpms either. I have a thousand miles on it and keep my rpms around 9k until i get that tune. I followed the break-in recommendation as well. Not familiar with the motors blowong up, but can only imagine social media yields great bias for followers.
@@CrossplaneNation that’s true. maybe I’m just too paranoid
This is my 2nd r1, doing the same thing mod wise...never had an engine blow up.
I hope you got this bike flashed or dyno tuned after this install
Not yet...
nice video 👍but whyyyyy would u buy a 20k bike and throw on a $200 exhaust 😭
Does the exhaust look or sound bad? 🤔
Because you just spend 20k and dont have another 3 to spend ? Lmao
Haha, cuz it sounds and performs the same as all others...i am in italy, i make exhaust, it 2k dollars, u okay now...nah, im good. 🤣
Nice video mate, do you had problems with the O2 sensor afterwards? And where dis you gat that servo thing?😅🫶
No issues at all with the O2 sensors after this install. You will need a servo buddy if you don't get a tune right after install.
revzilla for the servo buddy...sorry about that.
