@CrossplaneNation No problem man I meant every word keep up the good work 💪. Question how long have you been running this exhaust and have you had any issues like exhaust leaks ?
Thanks again! I have had the exhaust on the bike for about 2 months now. No exhaust leaks or cosmetic issues at all. I did buy tighter springs that hold the exhaust can to the pipe for a more secure fit. @@619WISHY
@CrossplaneNation Ok cool yea I do remember you mentioned that in the video about the springs. Do you have a link for the servo buddy ? Also did you reinstall the 02 sensors to new pipe ? Thanks for responding.
O2 sensors were reinstalled to the new pipe with out any issues, as shown in the vid at the end. As far as the servo buddy, I bought it from revzilla.@@619WISHY
I appreciate how straight to the point this video is, subsequently have subscribed mate The bike actually seems to idle and run pretty decently from the full factory exhaust to basically being decated, it seems with the 2020 face lift that Yamaha seems to have updated the fuelling or fuel sensors, because bikes prior to the newest ones would idle and run terribly until remapped
Hola una pregunta. Es necesario sacar el servo motor o se puede dejar ahí mismo para cuando quiera volver a usar el sistema original y ya este ahí para conectarlo ?
@@CrossplaneNation about to buy a 2024 r1 in 4 weeks so ordering the exhaust you have tomorrow so I have it ready, do you happen to have a link to the servo buddy you bought?
Yes. The servo buddy I bought has worked perfectly, and it has not thrown any codes at all. The exhaust is still performing nicely and still sounds great. The edge of the can turned a little bronze in color over time, but doesn't look badly at all. For the price and sound, you will geek out after you hear it.
Well just got my 2024 r1 yesterday and followed this video putting same exhaust on :-) I fucking love it, the pops the bangs on shifts omg so good I also fitted the blasterX rear light using your other video and I put a tail tidy bike looks completely different now 🥰🙏 soon illl get a new air filter and tune and it will be sweet !!Thanks man
Just an FYI, servo buddies are not necessary unless you are trying to save a few oz of weight. You can remove the cables and reinstall the actuator motor with no codes
@@CrossplaneNation Youre removing the actual servo butterfly, but leave the actuator plugged in under the seat, no cables on it. The ECU will actuate it, but it wont do anything because the two cables are unhooked. Exactly how it is on my 23 S1000R. No CEL because the actuator is still actuating. ECU is detecting resistance, just like a servo buddy is causing the ECU to do, but no servo buddy needed. Just keep the actual actuator motor installed. The portion on the exhaust with the butterfly goes bye bye when you decat the bike
@CrossplaneNation yea it's just a little loophole. Most people don't think about it that way and servo buddies are so popular everyone thinks they're necessary when doing decat, but the ECU is sending voltage to the EXUP system either way so no harm doing either, one just doesn't cost anything. You can even do this on OEM exhaust by flipping the servo butterfly open after removing the cables. It'll just stay open
excellent info my friend. This will def help someone not wanting to spend the money on a servo buddy, for sure! Happy new year and thanks again. @@EGARides-87
@gemini_mann Yes, I got the Akro GP and 3/4 pipe. I also got my ECU flashed by Attack Performance and they advised me to take off the O2 sensors and Servo. NO CODES. The difference between the $250 ebay pipe and Akro is the finish of the pipe, the Akro has a blue tint and it looks very cool, while the ebay pipe is brownish. You will need the $500 belly pan to cover the pipe not unless you are ok with the discoloration of the ebay pipe. Your bike will look PREMIUM with the Akro.
Does this fit 2024? Or do you have a link im ready to buy! And i assume i go to rev zilla for a servo buddy? Or do u have a link. Literally gonna purchase asap if u have the links! I have a 2024 r1 and same color as you😍

At first, I bolted it to the front of the bike mount and then realized it fit better on the back side. I put a bolt in the hole where the hanger bracket mounts to the bike and then pulled the exhaust forward, secured the pipes to the headers, and everything lined up nicely. did the exhaust come with bolts in the 02 sensor holes? if so, take the bolts and find a nut they fit on...then, take that nut and see if it fits on to the 02 sensor(s)...if it does, then the size is right... Yes, the hexagonal looking cap on the can.
