Imagine if they did make a whole Lower Decks movie. I could see it living up to the great Sci-Fi comedies of the past. Star Treks own Spaceballs, Hitchhikers Guide, maybe even Galaxy Quest.
@@mithwa9690spoiler alert: I just saw the crossover episode of Strange New Worlds! Spoiler alert 2: I also hear there’s a new season coming on September 7th! In a month, the wait will finally be over!
This is the musical welcome to Star Trek that Lower Decks deserves. A show that celebrates all of Trek earned the music you have woven around and through it's own theme. Thank you very much 🖖🙂
I think I have a hybrid of this mashup in mind, using cues from both "Picard" and "Lower Decks." Here's how I break this down for a future mix. 1. Start with the beginning of "The Stars" and go into the first Goldsmith statement as in previous videos. 2. Segue from #1 with the first cue from this mashup (0:00 - 0:30) 3. "Leaving Spacedock" (from Picard; 1:47 - 3:20 of said piece) 4. A heroic battle theme from either Lower Decks or Picard can go here. 5. A closing theme that will segue into the reprise of the Goldsmith theme.
Loved this. Would be interesting if some Horner could be fit in since the "movie" themes in LD were very much inspired by his Trek work. Though that could be a little too obvious/on the nose for this sort of thing. Now im imagining them doing another movie episode with music inspired by Voyage Home, given that their "poster" for season 4 is inspired by it! I can see it now, "Its like the one with the whales!" XD
You caught me! I used my edited version of the Picard season 3 end theme for this edit as well. I figured using that was fitting for another new Trek show.
@@fatproduce Hell yeah! Good call! Hey, you know the end credits for 2009 Star Trek? The movie version where they roll the credits amidst the backdrop of space? You should stretch the Picard version of the TNG theme song to fit that! Make it 2:11 long!
I'd say the epic version of the theme is similar to Horner, however it's harder to make fusions of the themes with Horner music in my opinion. Horner's themes have less sectional structure in the end credits than Jerry Goldsmith's end theme does in my opinion. Plus I felt like the era Lower Decks takes place in the TNG theme fits better overall.
That's the sound score for the end of Star Trek 5 The final Frontier! You cut it off just before the Klingon bird of prey theme starts add in Lower decks and then go back to end of the Star Trek 5 theme Like WTF?????
3:12 "It's all of them Captain" "The Merced is at your disposal Captain Freeman."
I like the fact that the L.D. theme does NOT sound "Silly" or "Cartoonish" in any way!
Right?! In my opinion Lower Decks has some of the most heart of any of the New Trek shows. So I felt a serious take was warranted. 🙂
@@fatproduce Oh indeed. It has heart, courage, and a true sense of what Trek means... with a sense of humor.
Lower Decks at surface level is a kind of goofy comedy, but dig just a millimeter under the surface and it is 100% Star Trek.
Tricorder readings confirm, Captain.
@@johnbutler1323 1 millimeter? Must have hit a spot that was at a bend, my layer was measured in fractions of a millimeter!
Lower decks is the most Star Trek anything has been in years, this is TNG season 8 personified, and then depersonified into a show.
Hope we get more legacy characters like Janeway , Picard and even Archer on the show😊
For me it's a tie between Lower Decks and The Orville.
Of all the Star Trek shows i have encountered, this was the most... human.
If this isn't used for the series finale, I will be disappointed.
I don't know what happened: I started playing this theme, and suddenly I found myself clicking on the Subscribe button. 🖖😁
Been there
Excellent work Beta Shift
Better than those Delta shift jerks! 😜
@@fatproduce Freakin' Delta Shift...
I like that you integrated the big flourishes from Crisis Point it's perfect.
This is phenomenal - it captures the Goldsmith style perfectly, and blend seamlessly with the new themes. Incredible work!
Thank you! The score for Lower Decks doesn't get enough love in my opinion!
I'm not crying, *you're crying....!*
I love this! it's got me hoping for a lower decks movie now
There are!! The "movie" episodes in holodeck.

Lower Decks is awesome! I can’t wait for the next season! If there is one.
Yeah, also can't wait for the crossover episode with Strange New Worlds.

This is truly epic, Bravo!!!!!!
Thank you!
BRUTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is going in my STO playlist.
Thanks! I'm glad I'm not the only person who put together their own STO playlist with less generic-sounding Trek music to replace the in-game music.
Wait, how do you do that?
@@galwitprifor001 It's a playlist here on my UA-cam account. Also a lot of them, including this one, can be played on UA-cam Music.

Save it from being cancelled, stat!
amazing work!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! This version was one of the most fun to make!
My man, this is fantastic! You've got to do one for Enterprise!
Thanks! Oh shoot that's a good idea! Archer's theme could fit well!
YES! PLEASE!

There she is...
Who? Mariner or the Cerritos? Both?😉
Hearing it like this is more than how it should have been played. It would be great if someone had done another live LDs with this music as an opera.
Is it just me, or is that the exact version of the theme song that they specifically used for the last scene of Picard?! ❤
