    This young man is everything about hockey that I love. I've had a few favourites like Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr, Wayne Gretzky, Sidney Crosby. McDavid is right in there with these great hockey players. I plan to enjoy watching him play the game I love for a long time

    And here we are today and he has become a great asset to the Oilers Hockey club. I'm a life time fan and I can say I was waiting for these days. The very first game I saw Conner play I was speechless, I could not believe what I was seeing. It was an unexplainable emotion. SEE HOW FAR HE HAS COME!!!

      Shows he has the right attitude. No entitlement in him. Even thought he’s probably aware that he’s the NHL’s golden boy right now, he knows he still has to earn his spot in the league every year. It’s refreshing to see.

    I had the good fortune of seeing Orr play in just about every one of his games at the Old garden due to the fact that My dad had season tickets. In my opinion and yes opinions are like assholes everyone has one. Connor McDavid is the closest thing I have seen since Orr. He is humble he has hockey instincts beyond his age.he is a great skater his speed is insane. His puck handling is off the charts and he has a great shot. Lets hope unlike Orr that he can play a full career injury free. i can't even imagine how good Orr would have been with two good knees.

    I personally consider Connor McDavid someone who deserves all the praise and he handles the pressure very well, but I hope he really can restore Edmonton's history. He will. He's very introverted off the ice and on the ice maybe he does just have to learn to fight a bit better, but that's superfluous. He's a fantastic athlete.

    I'm from Connor's hometown and was even born in the same hospital as him (I didn't get the same hockey talent though lol). I played on the same AAA team as him York Simcoe Express (not the exact same team as I was born in a different year). McDavid went on to play for the Toronto Marlboros AAA in the GTHL, went to the OHL, got drafted to the NHL and the rest is history. I'm a McDavid fan and unless he's playing the Leafs I root for him. Since the Leafs are out of the 2022 NHL Playoffs go McDavid and the Oilers!

    Connor is a treat to watch. Best player ever to skate and stick handle with amazing skill at top speed . A perfect player. Go see for yourself. No other player has ever been this exciting to watch . Hi light reels are already full of his perfection . Too bad goons are paid to drag him down . NHL should protect their best asset but they let too many infractions go via fouls and intent to injure Connor..

    • @MrAdidas1980
      @MrAdidas1980 5 років тому +4

      Orr Greatest player?!? NO!!! Greatest d-man to ever play? Sure! Wayne Gretzky is hands down the BEST ever to have played the game of hockey. 99 wasn't the best at anything (EI: didn't have the best shot, wasn't the fastest skater, didn't have the best hands, nor was he the best goal scorer on the team), but overall no one could compare to him. No one put it together like the Great One did, his hockey IQ and how he viewed the game is 2nd to NO ONE!!! He knew what you were going to do before you knew, whether it was a teammate or a player from the opposite team (defending), he was always 1 step ahead, which is why he was the best play maker in the history of hockey. His "office" is barely used in todays game, b/c it takes quite the skill to set up goals and/or to produce any kind of scoring chance from there, but Greztky made it look so effortless. Had Greztky never score a single goal, he would still be the leader in pts. In order to beat his pts record (which will NEVER happen, in our lifetime - unless they drastically change the game and/or scoring system), you would need an avg of 100pts and play for 29 years to surpass Greztky's pt total. You'll never see another player score 50 goals in 39 games and he won the MVP 8 straight years, and a total 9 of 10 years. Only 2 players have won it 2 years in a row since Gretzky's last win in 89. Hasek and Ovechkin. There are about a dozen Wayne Greztky records (minimum) that will never be touched... 215 pts in one season 80 games (back then), 4 seasons of 200+ pts, scored 92 goals in 80 games etc. etc. etc..

The Northlands was fine, they should have just renovated it instead of wasting the tax payers dollars. Katz can say he paid for it but he was an investor, and the rest of the investors sre the people of Edmonton.I have spoken to many people here and I will say about 4 out of 10 people didnt want this new arena, just to be clear,most of the people I asked were friends or friends of friends so I wasnt out there doing a huge research project. At the end of the day there will never be another "Dream Team" the way it was back then. You can actually break your hand punching another person so not necessarily the boards/glass.

    P.S.- Conner is the truth. Glad you're being paid handsomely. Your highlights are mesmerizing

      @@M4KERB really did you ever see Bobby Orr play. He dominated games even in the latter part of his career when he had 12 knee surgeries. You could slow down and female you can speed it up and anything in between. He won the scoring title twice as a defenseman in his first seven years he had a hundred plus points in a 6 years so no go f*** yourself you're an idiot. Oh by the way Bobby Orr's plus minus for his career was 597

    • @M4KERB
      @M4KERB 5 років тому

      he also played against people that werent athletes like today you dumbass. nhl players back in the day had other full time jobs, do some research. mcdavid is a superstar that lives and breathes hockey so again, bobby orr would look like a pylon in today's nhl.

    Orrs EXACTLY right about goons shortening careers of great talent bobbys problem was he was so good even other very talented players wete taking cheap shots at his knees out of sheer frustration .for instance frank mahovelich,the guy was a very talented player.but i saw him do a devadtating knee on knee that you knew huet bobby real bad.bobby never really had a healtjy yr.he was damaged with torn knee ligaments just a few games into his rookie yr yet still led the league in scorimg twice i think

      Orr had a huge temper..that at times took hum of his game when goaded in to fights with talentless Goons.
