Mercedes walked out of WWE right before a scheduled match and the people who defended that are angry at Stephanie. Unbelievable hypocrisy.
Its because they are AEW stans. All companies have them.
And it's vice versa too.
They have no problem with what Steph did (because she's came to WWE), but still give Mercedes shit for it. Not Naomi as much because she 'came back home' all is forgiven... just look at Punk, got 💩 while in AEW (from WWE diehards. Called him every negative thing in the book) came back to WWE all is well.

Oh yeah and despite the song and dance of walking out she still said she knows she'll be back in WWE one day so it was all pointless.

And Mercedes & Naomi (don't forget she was left too) walked before Raw went on the air. From what I've read it was at least an hour before they went on air. They (WWE) still advertised the match just to make them look like they walked on the fans and put them in a bad light. Same company that falsed advertised a BUNCH of times. If I remember correctly, less then 2 weeks after they walked WWE false advertised a Bayley vs Shotzi match.
Great take by Thunder Rosa! Opportunities come once in a lifetime and Stephanie took it. We're not privy to the conversations and experiences she had from her previous employer, but she has her reasons not to continue her obligations because of the WWE offer and that's her problem to deal with. For me, it's all about taking the risk to achieving that dream, and good people that she meets soon will help her achieve that.
When Stephanie Vaquer first arrived in Mexico she was training with a wrestling promotion in my city, Veracruz, where the ring is in a mudhole and there is only one small room where everyone changes clothes together. I couldn't be happier for her now.

Maybe because I’m just a regular person that’s in the workforce but it always baffles me when people get upset when a worker isn’t loyal to the company that they work for knowing full well that their job isn’t going to be loyal to them. 😭
Those people are immature. You should do what's best for you because the company will get rid of you anytime. Remember lots of wrestling marks are immature. I grew up a Prowrestling fan not just one federation. I liked some more than others it was never tribal just wrestling fan.

It’s not about loyalty. And a regular job is not wrestling. She was contracted to work shows for CMLL, NJPW and RevPro. This is a small niche industry you try not to burn bridges in. And the strange this is she didn’t have to. WWE usually lets people finish out their dates. Not sure why she did that.

Just watched her vs Mercedes mone and got dam Stephanie Vaquer is a badass. Her movements are explosive, her psychology is top notch and dam the woman can work. Not sure about her mic skills yet but dam shawn michaels is one lucky SOB to have her on the roster. Can't wait to see her on NXT/WWE

It's an absolute no-brainer. She's someone who came from little, had a dream, and she busted her ass until she got an offer from WWE. Obviously, whatever contract or agreement she had allowed for her to go to WWE. It's not like they are filing a lawsuit with WWE about it. So, that tells me that it was more of a handshake agreement, which means she had no guarantees. That vs. a guaranteed contract from WWE? Come on. Any critics need to shut up.

I'm honestly happy she's in wwe. I have always said if wwe is interested in you, YOU TAKE IT because you don't know if they'll be interested again in 3-5 years. Some have been lucky to get multiple offers to join WWE like Tama Tanga and LA Knight. Everyone should be in wwe at least once. If you failed, you failed. But, at least you can say you tried, and that's better than not trying at all.

People don’t know this but Stephanie had a ex boyfriend who tried to murder her and there’s AEW talent like Rush and Dralistico who supports that man. If I was her I would rather be in a safe working space where I can focus on my goals and not have bad negativity around me. She was smart for decision.

Maybe there were expectations that it would lead to her signing a contract and maybe not but she decided to sign with WWE. This is the drawback of bringing in talent that aren't signed to contracts with your company and promoting them on a show/PPV.
It's also funny that Guilia dropped her title to Stephanie. Now, she will hit NXT before Giulia . Cannot wait for this

Most AEW fans aren't like that - commentators on wrestling sites or on UA-cam maybe. But as an AEW fan I was so thrilled to watch her shine and she's going to be great for WWE. Life is too short to be acting like we're in parasocial relationships with wrestling companies. Good for her to make this happen.

But in NJPW & CMLL she still had bookings for them. She was announced to do NJPW show almost 3 weeks back. They (CMLL) would gladly let her go, but they wanted her to fulfill those dates where she would likely drop the belts instead of having them vacted.

An excellent sit down with Nick/Dave/Thunder Rosa. I love when Rosa said “the competition is real, it’s happening” because we always wonder how much attention WWE pays to AEW who’s growing the biggest in the USA. AEW is great but WWE is still the biggest ticket so I’m super excited and supportive of Stephanie Vaquer coming over. I’d only seen her wrestle once on AEW and I was sold. I hope Jordynn Grace makes the same move asap- the greatest heights come from WWE if you’re successful there.

WWE has been keeping tabs on her for a long time and the Forbidden Door match was the deciding factor for WWE to pull the trigger.
Most likely case how she got out and was able to sign with WWE.. Probably a contract buy-out which CMLL accepted.

Wwe been doing very well with signing, i think we just use to aew doing it recently from wwe releasing half their roster and aew being the new kid on the block so they were signing people like crazy but wwe does a good job of signing who they think will be great fits with them
Sure everybody could assume that one match with Mercedes WWE was interested but then other reports came out saying that Stephanie was facing giulia and that's another reason why WWE was keeping an eye on her

if she signed to AEW then quickly got out of it (after only 1 match) & signed to WWE (who sniped her) - what was the contract signed to AEW that allowed her to get out of it so easily/quickly? *a contract usually means you've committed to it for a certain length of time, & to cancel it means a lawsuit/penalty

They stole her life a thief in the night. That is why. AEW was one with ties to CMLL and NJPW, not WWE. It is the sneaky, crooked way they went about it.
Plenty of AEW fans are glad she got an opportunity with wwe. Im a AEW fan and I think the roster AEW has is stacked as is. Other promotions are mad at her, and rightfully so, for how she left. But If Im making the decisions for WWE you gotta use this momentum and the buzz they can't sit on her for 7 months.

AEW needs to utilize their own talents in their programming instead of bringing people in from all over the world with no backstory. Outside of niche fans, the audience won’t grow if you dong have a connection to the talent. And now when showcase these talents it makes it easier for wwe to see them and take interest in them to scoop them up.

It was more than surprise. There was a LOT of salt when it was revealed she signed for WWE instead of AEW. And as for the arguments of stealing talents, how can you steal an independent contractor? They're not employees. So if you don't think they should be independent contractors you should fight for them being employees, not only when it's WWE.
The fact is almost all of us would stop whatever job immediately we were doing to get paid 10x more and be a superstar. Loyalty at the lower part of your career holds you back. Good luck Steph, hopefully she'll join AEW one day and face Thunder Rosa

No one in WWE is a superstar unless their last name is Johnson or Cena.
If she's a free agent then it's not contract tampering. She has a choice to finish out her prior engagements and she chose not to. You can't blame that in WWE.
She wasn't a free agent. Just those contracts are Ironclad like a WWE. MLW was the same way, MJF was still under contract with them and some way they worked it with AEW.

I admit I wasn't as disappointed with her signing with wwe, because at the end of the day it's her decision but I was more upset with the way she left, I dont believe in burning bridges with any employer regardless of of my time there good or bad there's something to be said about showing sense of professionalism.

To jump to Mexico to start her Journey in becoming a pro wrestler! She had a try out in 2018 with WWE and she wasn’t ready then but she kept working hard at it and now after her performance she had against Mone and probably said let’s get it and make her dream finally become true
