Best chess teacher So many amazing series 1. Climbing the rating ladder 2. Puzzle solving series 3. Using chess as a clock 4. Using a physical board to explain endgames. Thank you John
Awesome! I was honestly just thinking the other day about how it's been a long time since you've played a Titled Tuesday and how I've missed watching you participate! Hope you can do it more often again!
47:15 The "surprise" checkmate must have been stinging for your opponent. I think he missed it, too. Nothing burns more than falling to the mate you didn't even see.
@@JohnBartholomewChess It's mainly to keep up the Scandi hype, but it's not a good opening, as Black trades away a center pawn with White's c-pawn. It might transpose into a Queens gambit, and it might catch other players off guard, but then again there's no traps in it as far as I know. Maybe save it for bullet games :-D
John - I’ve loved watching your channel since you tutored my team at Eastview. Keep it up! Also love the jiu jitsu reference, i practice that myself. Appeals to the mind of chess players very well! Cheers.
Hi John, What's with you voice in the background when commenting? It freaks me out a bit😮 Example I hear it around 17.33 & 17.41, it keeps repeating "Hey John this is guys" and plenty other times throughout the broadcast. Great to have you back 👍
Really appreciate all the good vibes, guys! Cheers! ❤
Good to see you back sir. Your TT's from a few years ago got me through the pandemic blues

Love to see you back John!
Your hat tip salute at the beginning went to 11, I’m pumped!
Nothing better than the surprise checkmate. Unless it's me getting surprised😂
I don't know why it's taken me so many years to realize this, but your nickname should definitely be "Gentleman John."
Haha it has a nice ring to it :)
Glad to see you back. No one dares play e4 against you 😅
Loved it
Thanks for watching!
Thanks 🙏
He's back!
Hey guys, this is John😊
YES!!! A tradition unlike any other! 🎉🎉🎉
yes sir
Finally
great thumbnail
Great to see you back John! 3:43 I wonder if white could have tried axb5 and after cxb5, Qe2 would have been a lethal blow perhaps.
Right on
Title Tuesday rocks John. Keep it up if you want to!
we want more
I'll try to play these more regularly 💪
I think I've done the surprise checkmate once in my 13k games. Usually it's my opponent surprising me with checkmate.
😂
I'd love to see you explore the Anglo-Scandinavian some day, 1.c4 d5
Any particular ideas with it? Seems like an inferior Scandinavian unless Black can get some sort of reversed Smith-Morra Gambit out of it...

Hey John, this is guys!
Go John
I’d watch every video you make if you analyzed the openings some
1:10:00 you look very winning / at least send the pawn down right or could you lose if you lose the h pawn
Hi John
Hey there 👋
🥳🥳🥳
