I love this new trend of your videos to teach ideas and strategies apart from the great work that you do with opening sequences, keep it up Alex. Big hug from Argentina!
You have great videos, I'm learning a lot! I've been enjoying the Jobava London and Caro-Kann videos also! Those plus King's indian are all I play while I'm trying to improve.
The billiards triangle is just called a triangle, if I'm not mistaken. The act of using it to arrange or "rack" the balls into the triangle is "racking."
You make this shit look so damn easy lol. Thanks for the jobava videos. Rating been on a steady climb since I started playing it consistently. Used KID when I first started playing but abandoned it because the congested board would often stump me. Think my skills have gotten better now, time to give it another go
thanks, Ive been really struggling with the KID.. "Great opening for beginners they said, same system all the time". One move wrong and the whole game is finished is my experience.. But I-m keeping at it, learning more theory. And this was one of the clearest videos, thsx, will look into that pawn / horse move on the queenside
outside of the mainline, KID and Grunfeld can use some of the same stuff, where would one be better than the other? would you cover that in a video? for example the f3 lines
Alex, can you recommend a book for getting better with the pawns? My biggest weakness is knowing when to break and the end game with pawns. Sometimes I think I'm too passive with the pawns, or I take too much. Usually when I analyze with the engine it always wants me to take, even if it effs up the structure.
Which pirc/modern lines you recommend if they go nc3 and e4 instead of playing c4 first? (I know you can play d5 and just play jobava london as black, but I like to keep it in KID territory with g6)
I keep getting swamped as soon as I castle, they just trade off the knight or bishop and pawn storm and I'm losing my mind with this! I do well against the normal white openings but some players seem to know how to destroy KID.
Sometime in the future yes! I wanna make a perfect craft on the Jobava first tho, and that’s gonna take most of my time still for the next 2-3 months. I know I’ve been saying that for a while, lol
@@AlexBanzea sounds good!! We are eagerly awaiting your Jobava course. I’m btw trying to shape my repertoire around yours, since your teaching material is best. So Jobava with white (transposed to different openings depending on Black’s response which I assume you’re covering in the course), and Caro/Slav/KID with black? What do you recommend? 😄
@@AlexBanzea I am super stoked to hear that! The KID just perfectly fits the gap between the London and the Caro-Kann. And I jut haven't find any course that is practical for my level, like your courses are. Robert Ramirez comes closest, but his is a little thin compared to your courses. So I'd be buying your KID course as soon at is released.
I’m honestly so confused when you don’t take the rook in the first game, you can do the same move after he takes back woth is other rook and your up in material
yeah I finally fixed it, but felt the games were too instructive to miss. the sound from the second games (and intro) is what I will usually have. Happy for feedback tho, I am still working on this thing...somehow my SM7b started going nuts recently
37:16 I think I'm the only person who finds it kinda unstylish to promote more pawns when you already have a rook or a queen 😭 Y'all just want to apply salt on the wound.
your chess can only get better by watching this dude's videos. seriously, he breaks down the positions like nobody's business! i hope to see Alex become a GM someday because he is that deep into chess. P.S. Alex please don't ever wear an un-ironed shirt for your videos again. you are better than that. please don't present yourself as somebody that just woke up...you are a professional, an adult, so please present that. just sayin my dude....
Looks like I will be getting a good night of sleep tonight
😂😂
its pretty fun though
"d4 is like a jacuzzi for a horse". Another classic Alex quote!
😂😂😂 I'm laughing my ass off 😂
Like this, very few videos on youtube that focus on ideas that come from an opening instead of teaching the exact lines to learn
man I learned SO MUCH with your caro-kann videos. I'm happy to see you also make king's indian content. Can't thank you enough.
Just when you need some more Kings Indian videos Alex comes in clutch 😎
I love these videos so much! The focus on common replies/plans and how to think about them is fantastic
Time to rewatch this again to aid my sleep.
Just discovered your channel a few weeks ago and it’s helped me learn a lot, really good stuff man!
Yesss, more of King's Indian please!

Alex I have to thank You. Just played my KID and I won by 19 moves with 96.0 % accuracy. You are the King… :)

Whats your elo rating
The billiards triangle is just called a triangle, if I'm not mistaken. The act of using it to arrange or "rack" the balls into the triangle is "racking."
this is awesome! Alex covers Caro and KID / 50% of my repertoire. Happy Sunday Bonzai!
Really excited for this I’ve been looking for a proper reply to e3!!

When is the new Jobava London video coming ?? Tell me date Alex banzea
Alex is the best!
I was literally watching your other videos when this was uploaded…what a treat 😂
He combed his hair in between the first and second game. How nice.
imagine being 1700 ELO and moving your kingy around until the opponent has 2 queens
I see king's Indian, I click
Is there a King's indian course coming? :D
We need a course!!!

The way you calculate is so fast, I'm not sure how to replicate this. Need a separate guide/course for that lol
My elo from 800 up to 1100 now after watching this channel for the last few month ..but I'm 52yo and was 1800 many years ago 😢
Thanks a lot for KID videos!
This is by far one of my favorites of your videos for two reasons. Such nice explanations of typical KID motifs, and that shirt is sexy.

Please do how defend using King's Indian but against the London opening PLZ
I came up in the tournament because of your Caro Kann lessons
Which pirc/modern lines you recommend if they go nc3 and e4 instead of playing c4 first? (I know you can play d5 and just play jobava london as black, but I like to keep it in KID territory with g6)

He's back! The Family Guy 🤣The billiard triangle is called.....a triangle!
Great stuff.. I love Your C-K and KiD(and Vienna ) . Thank You. Kind regards ;)
Love these KID videos with thematic ideas. Awesome 👌
Is the new jobava london course going to be on chessable?
The title is backwards. It should be "You need to know all about King's Indian middlegames.
I guess you are feeling muy bien about Mr Iordanescu's masterclass at the euros rn
mad lad for not taking the rook I dont care what the computer says but I had to like after that, brass balls all the way
Thought about trying some queens gambit since you can basically play it like a caro kahn for white.
yes, but you gotta learn 10 extra openings too (like how to play vs Slav/KID/Grunfeld/QGA/NIMZO etc
Would really like to see this played against e4. Most people I play against open with e4.
I normally never Pirc, but I might at some point if you guys really want me to :P
Alex, would you please make a video of how to play white vs the kings indian? I struggle in the middlegame!
Alex please make a similar one for KIA.
Alex is the best
Opponent's pieces are so cramped at 10:12, very funny :-)
I’m honestly so confused when you don’t take the rook in the first game, you can do the same move after he takes back woth is other rook and your up in material
I wanted to focus on the kingside attack not on the conversion. You won’t get gifted free rooks very often
best channel to ever existed
im 1300 elo. Kings Indian is kinda hard to understand for me about how and what pawn breaks should i use
29:10 why is Qc3 a mistake for white? 🤷♂️
after finally checking out 'this video' 'that video'.. reached this video
check again :P
Isn't the King's Indian basically a Pirc and vice versa?
Are you planning on making a chessable course with the KID anytime soon
Cant wait
He said a good while ago it might be his next course. Which would be amazing
@@kyz6227 thanks man
Beginner ELO 600. Which opening for black should I start with? Pirc, Czech pirc, caro kann, Owens, kings Indian - so many options?? Help.
definitely Caro-Kann. Not even close!
@@AlexBanzea awesome Alex. I think you offer a CK course??
@@davidstrachan8912 yes, but that's not the only reason haha :P
Omg I'm having a chess competition and I'm in a finals and I'm playing black thank you so much I'm going to subscribe with my 8 other accounts
Alez please do speed run with kid
Caro Kann was too much for my dumbass. Indian has been really good for me!
King's Indian only works vs anything but 1.e4!
Watching your videos on jobava and caro kann got me from 1250 to 1500. Hope i can add 50 to 100 from KID
did you get a new camera? Its like 4k resolution lol
been using it for a while haha
Thanks very much Sir
Nice sir.
Since this is not the "other" opening, I shall remain silent....
😇
alex is naturally funny 🤣
the sound seemed a little off in this video
yeah I finally fixed it, but felt the games were too instructive to miss. the sound from the second games (and intro) is what I will usually have. Happy for feedback tho, I am still working on this thing...somehow my SM7b started going nuts recently
why don't you post speed run in caro kan even after 2000 rating
people who are near 2000 will be really needing it
9:00 That would be a rack. In Romanian though, it's called a rack. 🤪
Ahhh yes, the good stuff
I find Nimzo Indian much easier to play against d4. I already follow your london and caro kann openings. But I find kings Indian too complicated 😢
Nimzo is very good!
not taking that free rook bothered me to my core
In closed positions, a well placed piece could be more valuable!
It would be funny as all get out if one day we found out this was some kid from Alabama.
Thanks

you feel guilty for using your rights? :P
@@AlexBanzea My father taught me how to mate with a rook when I was a kid and I intend on using that knowledge sir oh sir 😤
FONALLY you upload
