Touching the last point of the line segment does switch straight line to arc, but only one way. In other words you can't switch it back to straight line if you did it accidentally or changed your mind. Instead use the "A" keyboard shortcut to toggle back and forth on the fly. Since A is "alternate" pretty much all sketching tools will go thru their alternates on the fly if you use this shortcut.

Oh, that is the Grammarly plugin. It needs to be turned off on my SolidWorks. It is always in my way.
