Common Projects are the go-to minimalist white sneaker, BUT, they aren't as good as they could be. They missed two important things, a blake stitch and a leather insole. To everyone who left us such great constructive criticism in the comments of this video (😉) we hear you loud and clear, the pitched sole is pretty divisive and definitely isn't for everyone... so we took a step back, looked at the feedback and launched The Mellor II, exact same construction as seen in this video, including the blake stitch and leather insoles, just with a few tweaks to the aesthetics.
Rose Anvil could you possibly review this new design? It looks incredible and retains the excellent build quality.

I'm fine even with the weird yellow heel part but the sole really makes these look orthopedic. BTW happy birthday mate, nice to see you're excited over the mocktoe series.

I'm surprised that Greats Royale didn't get a breakdown video. I have a leather, a knit, and a canvas version of their Royale and love all three. The leather pair is particularly nice in my opinion

Crown Northampton also makes a resolable sneaker which is made in the UK, I’m kind of curious at what type of stitching method they use and how it compares to Blake stitches and Goodyear welts
It would be very interesting to see a video on dress shoes, and learn how to identify good quality in these types of shoes.
The updated version of these, The Mellor II has the updated looks that everyone is looking for in a minimalist sneaker. Amazing construction and I think the new version looks better than the somewhat bulbus Crown Northhamptons that are also amazing construction. I don't know why there are not more reviews on the updated version of these sneakers.

Exactly my thoughts, was going to pull the trigger on some Crowns, but i hesitated because i did not like how bulky they looked compared to Common Projects or my now deceased Uniform Standards, after seeing the Mellor II i am sold.
If the heel and outsole didn't look so weird (bad), maybe they'd be considered the best. They don't fit the white minimalist sneaker vibe.
Crown are probably the best white sneakers.

Same, it they flatten the soles and maybe made their logo on the back monotone it would be better. That heel bump is making it seem like some formal shoes than a sneaker

Can I suggest you do a tear-down of a pair of GREATS' Royales and also a coach wallet for your wallet series? I see some strange terms like "sport calf leather" on the Coach site and it sounded like a big red flag.
The one time yellow worked on shoes is when they added the yellow stitching on Doc Martens...

Nah..... May be good quality but those soles are wierd looking, and for that price I would stick to the Artisan Lab Essential White for £125.

You didn’t say what the one brand you have left is. Now you’ve done Goral I think it’s even more important that you do Crown Northampton by way of comparison. Crowns are also supposed to be repairable. Their shoes are also cheaper than Goral, even with Horween Chromexel leather (not available in white though). I hope you’ll find time to examine them in future. Oh, and many happy returns, as we say in England.

I've had many other brands of leather sneakers, and just purchased the Goral - The Boulsover - Bonaventura Odyssey Brown Sneakers as this video and Sam Binstead's video confirmed quality of these leather shoes/sneakers.

I would love to see COS white sneakers (thick sole) cut in half. They are affordable and their stuff is generally good quality for the price so I’ce always wondered how good the sneakers actually are
