You definitely have one of the best video reviews on this camera...you understood the concept of this camera which is... just shoot and have fun. Will definitely consider buying one soon.
Just discovered your channel while looking for Camp Snap Camera reviews. I'll definitely be checking out your other videos. Your presentation is excellent. I loved seeing the pictures you took in "real-time" with the video. Gives me a good idea of context and a more "in the moment" vibe. Great work! Keep it up!
Hi Dan. Love this. I really enjoyed this video. It looks as though you were having fun and it feels that way too. That vibe comes through and makes this fun and interesting. Thanks for sharing this!
I’m sure there’s a lot of people hating on these, but I thought the concept was cool so I picked up the green one like you have. I’m definitely going to be removing the sound card as well. I wonder if you can somewhat weatherproof it with superglue. I’m only considering doing this because of how cheap it is. Thanks for the upfront advice about the camera. Cheers🤘
I recommend it. I got it for new years and I took some pretty dope pics, but some were not that great. Though I’ll admit I’m definitely no professional photographer lmao but it has a charm to it. It really reminds me of the old Kodiak disposables
i have one and love it. lo-fi rules, whether in music or cameras. and simplicity and minimalism are very important things in our current overly-complexified world.
I'm on the fence if I want to grab this on Black Friday. I have a bunch of digital cameras, old and new. And recently got a couple film cameras. How do you feel about now that you bought it 3 months ago?
It's not crazy but its been an amazing ever day carry to snap memories that I just throw in my pocket and car on most days I don't feel like carrying my actual cameras that I forget to charge a lot. This camera always seems have a battery to shoot and has come in handy where I would be just using my android phone. The only downside is the shutter lag they are fixing in the new 103 verision and that a cheap digicam might could be better with manual controls, lens, handling but getting this new out the box and not focusing on a screen but the moment has been great for me. Also it reminds me of using a disposable back then since I would I always wonder how the photos will turn out later when I get home
Interesting camera. One of the many tun things about shooting film, is that you aren't constantly reviewing shots. Take it, move on! ...and I just noticed you're from Montreal (too). 🍻
The new version is much better. New sensor, can set date/time, more responsive. Easy way to tell is the new version has strap lugs. And a rear LCD panel instead of LED.
@@thoughtsontravelandlife Still just Camp Snap, but code 103b. I think the original one was code 103. This is the only one they are making now. Easiest way to know is if it has strap eyelets it is the latest one. And the four digit LCD panel on the back replacing the three digit LED panel.
Worst camera I've ever owned. Worst shutter, lens, image quality, build quality. Unprintable photos and plastic crap. I took 500 images with it on a 3 month roadtrip to some of Europe's best places. Can't use a single image for what I want. I looks fun, but it isn't. Get any used camera instead.
@@stayuntilforever That’s at least partly on you. You should test a camera and make sure the results are the style you are looking for before taking a 3 month trip.
@@thoughtsontravelandlife I pushed it to it's limits. Also brought all my professional gear on my trip off course. I've been photographing for over 25 years (6 years professionaly) and tried most cameras, brands and analog styles. This wins by far as the worst. Even a cheap single use 35mm camera beats this one. I don't see the point of using a camera if I can't print my images to look ok. I've travelled around the world for over 24 years, always with a camera or two in my bag.

Just got mine! Thanks so much you took dope photos and I’m excited to use mine 😊

With the speaker removed will it still click when the camra is token
At first I thought "that's a dumb camera."
That's the point!
there was a firmware update? or i forgot how but i turned off my sound without removing the speakers O__O
You may have the newer version of the camera, you can turn the sound down using the buttons on the underside of the camera
Your photos are great.
Thanks!
Nice job, Dan
Very very cool! Loving the lofi attitude of it

Hahaha we'll see

Forgot to mention - new version you can change the speaker sound volume or turn it off completely.
Is it just called Camp Snap 2 or something like that? First I'm hearing of it

Young ones think that a bad quality digital image "looks" like film. Digital noise is not grain.
Dude it’s a toy camera
@@TheFabFash well they don't promote it like that
