I don't know if it's the craziest twist, but finding out that Don Draper was married with a family at the end of the Mad Men pilot was pretty surprising.
I think the first episode of Andi Mack should be up there. Boy, was that twist shocking the first time I watched it. Don’t worry, I won’t spoil it here.
Oh, I already know it. And I so so so agree
I was honestly hoping you would. 😅 but I appreciate you didn't.
In the pilot of Euphoria, i think it's pretty wild that the guy who hooked up with Jules it's actually Nate's dad, so at least as a honorable mention should be in
Bran getting pushed by the tower was shocking but i feel like the best plot twist for the first episode is the fact that incest is considered a normal thing.
When i saw Cercei and Jamie i was in so much shock , it was like the first hint to show us that it’s not a normal tv show.
If brutal death’s and betrayel was not enough , we also got incest , i dont want to be an asshole or anything but i gor to say , we live in a really weird world if a tv show where incest is considered a normal is called the best tv show of all time , i mean it is good and all but Breaking Bad has more realistic and better storytelling and of course a satisfying conslusion.
I would have included the original Wonder Years. Winnie’s brother dying in combat in Vietnam was a big surprise. 🤯
Desperate housewives was wild as well
The twist of Friday Night Lights is still one of my favorites to this day. You watch the first half of the episode thinking it is going to be all about this star player and then suddenly, his entire life changes in a blink. It's absolutely brilliant and sets up the course of the rest of the show.
Abe shown being Henry's elderly son by his interment camp arm tattoo in Forever.
Henry has been "35" for over a century and a half, and he adopted Abe as an infant during a freeing of a Jewish internment camp.
I'm a simple man I see Breaking Bad I click.
The tattoos are actually blueprints, Prison Break
This is Us twist still my favorite I remember seeing previews being like "but what is this show about!" and then watching and texting my mom asap to talk about it if she had watched yet!! I need to talk about how shocked I was! lol I was also shocked with GOT and when I actually liked bran :)-
The Shield is a criminal omission from this list; the twist at the end of its pilot transforms it from a solid cop drama to must-watch, and sets the foundation for every devastating thing that follows (quite literally through to the series finale's final scene)
The first episode of The Shield, that's all I'll say.
THIS! I did not expect the twist coming the first time I watched the show!
The new NBC show ‘Found’’s twist from the first season had me like ‘no way’ 😮. I won’t say what it is, in case you haven’t seen it and want to.
OMG.... same
These were literally already all mentioned in a Buzzfeed article. But one I liked was when Charming was revealed to be alive in the hospital in the first episode of Once Upon a Time.
"Keeping your enemy close" - Arrowverse = Close allies and relatives of protagonist, revealed to be their enemy with secrets and schemes: Moira Queen to Oliver Queen, Harrison Wells (Eobard Thawne) to Allan Barry, and Astra to Kara.
I like once upon a time first episode season one and Baywatch season one
Dempsey
And others.... who ages like fine wine....
The twist in Only murders
FLOORED ME!!!!!
I knew This Is Us would be on here
The shield. Great show. Not a huge twist but the lead cop murders someone on his own team yet you find yourself rooting for him by the end of the show
WHO didn’t know that Modern Family was about one big extended FAMILY? It’s literally in the title…..
Raines. Charlie's dead and the man we've been seeing is another figment of the title character's imagination.
Invincible's brutal fight.
I think Lost’s real twist was the fact that the writers didn’t have any answers planned from the beginning and they were making sh*t up as they went along.
😂😂
They actually did but things also came up along the way. Such as making Jack main character..
But most shows are not planned from the beginning. You might have an outline but no actual plan.
But it worked! I loved "Lost." The whole thing! I read somewhere that if you were someone who really wanted answers, then you hated it, but if you were someone who was really invested in the characters, you loved it. I thought the final episode was beautiful. Did it leave you with a million unanswered questions? Absolutely! But I kind of don't care. The fact that the first shot and the final shot of the series were the same but reversed (one with Jack's eye opening and one with Jack's eye closing) was really cool. And it gave you closure.
There hasn't been a show since then that's been able to capture that magic. Some have tried, but they always fall short.
@@Kristine_202 Exactly! I think people dislike Lost simply because they expected answers to everything. But it was never that kind of show to begin with. It was supposed to be a mystery and that it was to the end. Even the last episode was a mystery..
Hey MsMojo, can you make a Top 10 Cartoon Network couples list
This is Us was my first thought when I saw the title of this video, so I'm glad it was on here. I would have been very disappointed if it wasn't.
WHO WAS FILMING THE DUNPHYS AND PRITCHETTS?!?!?
right! hate they never addressed that
Orphan Black
waiting for my top 10 new episodes of Ghostwriter
Bex is Andi’s mother-Andi Mack
No room for 24 ? Still a great first episode.
I really liked "Westworld," but I feel like they overused the "he's an android" plot twist. It worked a couple of times, but after awhile, it just seemed like everyone was a robot.
What about Oshi No Ko?
The big twist about this is that
(Spoiler Alert)
The runtime of it is actually a feature length film!!!
Oh, and the climax is literally g u t W r e n c h i n g !
How about Attack On Titan’s first episode because holy shit what an impression and twist it left
The Good Place
That twist came at the end of the first season though not the end of the first episode. But it was good.
@@whedonite81well, i think for someone who were to start watching the series without any idea beforehand, the pilot still gave a twist when you think about it...
Ok, but come on. The BIGGEST shock in GoT was the incest. What happened to Bran was surprising, but not nearly so much as the reason for it.
CSI Pilot episode
Supernatural is not on this list. Seriously? Jessica burned on the ceiling wasn't a good enough twist?
ALIAS
Six Feet Under
what was the twist/shock there? I should re-watch the series
Teen wolf
Breaking Bad was just the beginning of the intensity.⚗️
