How long has it been since you replaced the blade because over time the spring arms holding the blade get loose causing the blade to get some wiggle room and bite clients
I apologize for that but the way I did it was I put the 2 screws that secure the blade on top of the trimmer in to hold that piece in place while I applied pressure with my thumb and screwdriver to get the small screw back in hopefully this helps but if now try this method ua-cam.com/video/uC5JJyEWzpM/v-deo.html
Honestly with my Andis im a little heavy handed but with these trimmers the grip on them allows me to be much lighter im not sure if you bought them yet but for me atleast I noticed and my clients noticed that im not heavy handed with these babyliss trimmers
Are you asking can you modify it or replace it with the silver fx trimmer but I tried to look up the chrome fx788 trimmer but I couldn’t find it to check and see
MikeWillBlendIt yes i want replace it. I you have some times, can you look at this link www.babylisspro.eu/fr-fr/materiel-electrique/tondeuses/fx7880e thank you for your help
Unfortunately nawl but the cordless Wahl Detailers Li are some very great trimmer they’re neck and neck with the babyliss fx and they’re much cheaper on www.atlantabarber.com
Man keeping that spring in place is causing me mental breakdowns. But... I will try your method later today. I hope that I'm successful. Thanks in advance.
They both have different purposes but the silver FX has deeper teeth that are more spaced apart for extremely coarse/thick hair but if you don’t use your trimmers to set in your bald guideline then the gold FX has a sharper finish when doing the hair line/edge up
Mine started pulling after I dropped them(which probably bent the blade) but all you have to do is buy a new graphite 2.0 blade and you’ll be fine. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
Yea that’s a strong spring but if you use the two screws that secure the blade onto the trimmer to align that middle screw hole and also a towel to cushion your fingers while you press down it’ll be much easier.....sorry for not including it but i hope this helps. P.s. I uploaded a newer way to accomplish this modification.
Yea it was a bit tough but try holding the blade with the teeth facing down and use you left thumb (if you’re right handed) to apply pressure while also applying pressure with the screw driver and you should be able to get it
The bracket goes over the spring so the pressure you use to push down on the bracket to get the screw back in should hold the spring.....it may take another person to help you out
My apologies bro but I took a look at my other babyliss trimmers while I was recording this video and the bracket goes over the spring to hold it in place
I see u skipped showing how difficult it is to put that block back on when u take it off 🤣🤣
What exactly does this do? Does the top blade bow pick up the hair better?
Bless you brotha getting that piece over the spring was a little work. Thanks for the vid. Much respect ✊🏽 💯
Respect bro ✊🏾 thanks for watching
Can you loosen the zero gap screws, slide the cutting blade down and modify the comb without separating the 2?
Great question bro it’s possible as long as you can get enough clearance and hold the blades steady while modifying
So is this mainly to sharpen the blade?
Yes it is and thanks for watching
Thank you, I respect the fact you explained that blade must be held upright, this has helped me
No problem bro 💈
These hit after the modifier?
Yes sir these are my go to trimmers
MikeWillBlendIt What were your go 2’s before these babyliss fx trimmers? Mine were the slimline pro.
CalStizzle313 hell yea bro the slimline’s were the 🐐’s everything about them were perfect and they were cheap lol
Do a video wit the gold fx.. mine too sharpe no matter how many times I set them.. what do I need to do?
How long has it been since you replaced the blade because over time the spring arms holding the blade get loose causing the blade to get some wiggle room and bite clients
Will the modifier work for the black graphite blade without distorting the color?
This is the black graphite blade and in the video you can see that there will be color distortion on the tip of the blade
@@MikeWillBlendIt my fault, it looked silver to me. Maybe the color of the trimmer playing games with my eyes. LOL
🤣🤣🤣 no problem bro thanks for watching man stay blessed
Brotha how u gonna forget the most important part of showing how to put that last piece on cuz it’s so hard
I want have sharp line up but I feel like when I redo gap em they to sharp and I’m heavy handed any tips ??
If you’re heavy handed I wouldn’t zero gap them.....I would leave them in the factory setting because you don’t wanna cut anybody up
Honestly with my Andis im a little heavy handed but with these trimmers the grip on them allows me to be much lighter im not sure if you bought them yet but for me atleast I noticed and my clients noticed that im not heavy handed with these babyliss trimmers
Can i replace my Chrome fx788 trimmer’s by this trimmer ?
Are you asking can you modify it or replace it with the silver fx trimmer but I tried to look up the chrome fx788 trimmer but I couldn’t find it to check and see
MikeWillBlendIt yes i want replace it. I you have some times, can you look at this link www.babylisspro.eu/fr-fr/materiel-electrique/tondeuses/fx7880e thank you for your help
Can these Babyliss fx blades be used on Wahl trimmers at all?
Unfortunately nawl but the cordless Wahl Detailers Li are some very great trimmer they’re neck and neck with the babyliss fx and they’re much cheaper on www.atlantabarber.com
Man keeping that spring in place is causing me mental breakdowns. But... I will try your method later today. I hope that I'm successful. Thanks in advance.
Why didnt u sharpen the blade underneath?
That blade isn’t made to be sharpen
So this turns the deep tooth to a fine tooth?
No it’s tapers off/sharpens the tip of the blade for more precise line ups
@@MikeWillBlendIt how are theses modified blade holding up u still use it or is it pulling hair
Still using them the last tutorial I uploaded I used them to bald out with.....I just order the black fx with the deep tooth blade
Which trimmer is better bro the silver FX or gold FX?
They both have different purposes but the silver FX has deeper teeth that are more spaced apart for extremely coarse/thick hair but if you don’t use your trimmers to set in your bald guideline then the gold FX has a sharper finish when doing the hair line/edge up
@@MikeWillBlendIt did you do this process for the gold pair as well? I believe they are kinda thin out the box.
Yea I did but you’re right.....they already come pretty thin I just like my trimmers slightly modified to have a longer lasting sharpness
I might say the FX gold
Thank you bro this helped me out a lot.
No problem bro stay blessed 💈
Thanks, for the informative video!! ♥️💪
No problem sis ima keep em coming ✊🏾💈‼️
Hey bro if the trimmers (Sliver Fx graphite 2.0) start pulling should I replace them completely or modify them like you did here?
Mine started pulling after I dropped them(which probably bent the blade) but all you have to do is buy a new graphite 2.0 blade and you’ll be fine. Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
@@MikeWillBlendIt appreciate it brodi 🙏🏾
Thank you
Preciate the vid, but damn I been here for a whole hour tryna get the damn spring under the one thing
Try putting the two top screws through the blade and the base to hold it in place while you push down on the spring
@@MikeWillBlendIt ❗❗❗ preciate it
No problem bro and thanks for watching
yeah, but you didn't show how to get the bolt back into the trimmer. thats the hard part.
I’m having trouble putting back my trimmer together even after you side put the spring under the part
Yea it was a bit tough but try holding the blade with the teeth facing down and use you left thumb (if you’re right handed) to apply pressure while also applying pressure with the screw driver and you should be able to get it
for it to stay in position..use the screws that put back on the blade to keep it in place then press and tighten it
i appreciate you bro 💪🏽
No problem bro ✊🏾
I can’t get my shit back on. Cuz the spring keeps coming off.
The bracket goes over the spring so the pressure you use to push down on the bracket to get the screw back in should hold the spring.....it may take another person to help you out
@@MikeWillBlendIt thank u bruh. I got it. This hit way different and better now. Yee!!
@@robertnavarrette9177 no problem bro stay blessed
Hey bro. When u took them apart. The bracket was under the spring. But now u saying put over the spring
My apologies bro but I took a look at my other babyliss trimmers while I was recording this video and the bracket goes over the spring to hold it in place
Nice just skip the most important part 👌🏽
Thank you brother
No problem brother ✊🏾
Guys don’t even try that will fuck up your clipper hundred percent I tried it before
Mine work just fine bro
Bro when I did it for my clipper the clipper start snagging
You keep saying clippers but do you actually mean trimmer?
I did that to my trimmers with that same sharpener my blade came out shitty and was pulling hair.
Obviously you guys missed a step. Sounds like you sharpened the wrong side of the blade
Its a headache
What is?
