The way my 2 year old flicks switches and presses buttons on glad I don't have the electric awning 😂😂 great vid guys
We watched your video last night and went out today to the camping show in Sydney and bought the Tanami X11. Thanks for your video Cath and Muz 👍
Thank you
Rebecca. How's it going. Do you still like it. Is it heavy to tow. How do you reckon a prado would go. Is it worth it. Thank you
Great walk around the van! thanks for sharing!
Oooh I'm so glad I've watched this fabulous video you've created Cath & Muz! Thanks for sharing your thoughts/tips/tricks on the X13 - hubby and I just checked it out at the Caravan & Camping show in Melbourne over the weekend and it did tick a lot of boxes! Your video has given me some great ideas to use and also got my brain ticking on other ideas I can implement into it if we end up getting this one. We're letting go of our beloved camper trailer with rooftop tent that hubby's been customising over the past couple years and looking at going for a hybrid van like this - I'm looking forward to just walking straight into bed instead of climbing up into it! 🤣
Thanks you. The bed is super comfy too.
We're in the market at the moment and really appreciated your review, and got some handy tips! Love the clothes line!
Thank you
Great review. Just buying a Tanami X 13. Love some of the tips you provided during the video.
Thank you
You got me at the weber set up.
Thank you greatly appreciated !!!
Excellent review. Covered everything that is important. Would've been great if you covered the suspension and underneath the camper.
Thanks for sharing
Great video guy's, picked up a few idea's for our van, thanks Cheers
Great video Muz and Cath...Picked up our 13 last week....haven't had a chance to play with it yet but you've given us some good ideas for mods...cheers
Thank you
Great walk around, aus campers should pay u for this as they havent done a proper video of there product.great video.👍
Agreed, it’s the reason we did this video.
Good run down on the van. We liked the same model but unfortunately a whisker to high for the carport.
Good choice of vans, we ended up going for a different van but same size, very similar.
Great video,
wow nice work 👌
Great video Muz and Cath, Picked our Tanami X15 up three weeks ago. The only thing I found so far were the wheel nuts I think were over tightened from factory, I set them at 120Nm instead of the preset 140Nm.
I think they recommend 140nm but that is pretty high. I agree with you that 120nm is enough.
Great setup 👌
Hi Muz, my wife thought that the Decals on your ensuite looked great, may I Ask where your wife got them from please . 😀Thanks for all your great tips and modifications.👍
We just got them from eBay. Try a search for sticker decal tropic
@@muzandcath Hi Muz and Cath, thanks for the information, have a great Christmas 🎄, safe Travels 👍😀
Awesome vid mate, just wondering if you can share more info about the Stoneguard?
We're looking at going from a soft floor camper trailer to a X13.
One thing that does is you only take what you need and everything has more than one use.
You seem to carry a lot of unnecessary stuff. Plus using light weight and silicon collapsible stuff helps on storage and weight.
@@antony3678 We have lots of experience camping off grid for longer periods; we came from tents and camper trailers before buying the hybrid. I don’t think I carry unnecessary things but each to their own.
Good Tips.. Good Info! Thankyou
Thank you
Hi good walk through can yon help with the roof hatch above the bed the filter block access
What a great video, proud owners whom actually use their gear, love it, is it Australian made? These are the videos that sell product, great people just like us, Muz and Cath, thank you so much.
They are mostly made in China and then assembled in Australia.
Hi so it been a year since you have had the van, great video. Have you had any problems? we are looking at buying one in 2024. Thank you, Geoff
We have had the van over two years now and never had a single issue.
Cheers for this Muz & Cath. I'm a new Aussie got my citizenship last month and plan WA next year or after my kidney transplant. Might look you up mate for advice when I arrive. I also saw the video for the Mobi. Bloody Amazing. I'm a keen drone fisherman and plan some of road stuff so have to decide what is best for me. Sorry what is the model of this caravan? Thanks
It’s an Austrack. Cheers.
This video really helped me decide on the caravan set up I want.
The dealers videos are always using clever camera angles which can be deceiving!
How long do your soler panels last off grid in summer?how much did the van cost with all the extras?
Great video
The van cost us $44k but I know they have gone up in price a lot since then. I think lithium upgrade was around 2.5k, Sunbuster walls add on was around 1.4K, clothes line $100. For solar, check out another UA-cam video I did for solar and off grid. Cheers Muz
@@muzandcath thanks for reply I'll check it out.
Subscribed 😊
Great video!!! What brand and size clothes line did you get?
Hi any problems since buying it?, thing of buying one next year
Not a single issue in over 2 years.
Great review guys. I pick up my x15 hopefully in May. Muz do you have a link for the gas vent cover please. Great idea for the cloths line
Check out the two Tanami Facebook groups for more info and how to get the gas cover. ‘Austrack Tanami Owners Group’ and ‘Austrack Hybrid Caravan Owners Group’.
Where did you get the sticker on the bathroom door?
Just a question re the linch pins holding the roof down. The pins which came with my 2021 tanami x13 (just acquired 2nd hand) are the locking pin type which we're finding difficult to use. I like the pins your using having used them before on bike racks etc. Did you change them over from what came with your van as new??? Your videos have been so helpful thanks.
@@ChristineRennie-o7d Yes we didn’t like the ones that came with the van. We replaced the originals but we only used the lynch pins for a short time. I replaced the lynch pins with a small carabiner from Bunnings. We have used these for a few years now. I’m pretty sure it was these ones below.

@muzandcath thanks so much4 the details. Happy travels!
Great video! The stone guard you guys put on is awesome - where did you get it?
I think from here and was the 2150mm one.

Nice walkthrough, how did you mount up the clothes line, would you be able to do a walk around on that? I've not seen that mod before 👌🏼
50mm stainless bolts and extra large washers on the inside. Need to duck a little bit when walking under it.
@@muzandcath Hi Muz & Cath, what a fantastic in-depth and comprehensive video...well done. We take delivery of our X13 next week and love the clothesline modification. I think you mentioned it was from Bunnings...do you remember which size and manufacturer it was? Keep up the good work. Cheers...Roy & Lisa.
@@royfreeth6326 join a couple of FB groups for more info. Austack hybrid caravan owners and Austrack Tanami owners. I have posted up the full details and measurements where to mount it. It’s Daytek Mini clothes line.
Have you got the contact details of the person that does the cover for the hot water system

How to get the TV to go
Different to our x13,
What differences are there on yours. Cheers Muz
@@muzandcath lol ours is a 2019 version. You have all the suggested upgrades that have been suggested online since
@@muzandcath ok so no side storage along side the bed, no shelf in the external TV hatch.
Only the Tool box on the front, no Pole box.
No shower curtain facility.
No cover on the switchboard at the front. And we still have the drawers and hanging rack so no internal fridge.
