It will give you a lot of shade on the van in our hot Aussie Sun. Good video. Only problem your music was so much louder then your talking so I had to play with the volume all the way through. Loved it still 👍👍
Nice Setup. I would buy some screw in pegs from ALDI they have them on special this week. (26/09/21) Comes with a drill bit, so much easier then hammering them in to hard ground
Supa peg does instruction videos on their site. Had one for years and it looks like the same tips they tell you would still apply. Plus there is a rhythm and to pack up what you do last you do first. 👍

Great video guys, I hope your channel takes off. Our Tanami 15X should land around December, so been watching your channel for hints and tips. Loved the shower video. Didn't see in this video though - how long does it take to put up the Supa Peg?
Hi the 270 awning had plenty of positives but also a few negatives we loved the extra protection and privacy the 270 awning provided plus it also made the bed area at the rear much cooler in the heat and it also provided a little insulation in the colder times too. The main negative was set up and pack up times especially if you were any stopping overnight thats where the original awning was great quick and easy setup but it didn't cover the kitchen or fridge area if it rained.
Gday mate just wondering how you keep the rain out between the van and the awning , I know you said the sail slide but how does it connect to the awning side thanks
Hi there is a section attached to the awning and a piece that slides into the sail rail on the van and both pieces have a zip on them so the join together with a zipper
We have had it set up in 60kmh winds and not had an issue but we did end up with it damaged by a whirly whirly that came through the caravan park at Kalbarri it bent a couple of poles but easily fixed. We were quite surprised how much wind it can handle when it is pegged down correctly.
We just put ours up for the first time. Couldn’t agree more with your wish for an instructional sheet. The Supapeg UA-cam video isn’t very clear. I would like to see your folding up video. We battled for hours yesterday and then gave up and called our son give us a hand. My one warning is to think carefully if you are vertically challenged. A ladder or stool is a necessity.
100% don't regret our decision to go with the Supa Peg awning it transformed the usability of the van. Definitely better than the original awning in my opinion.
Hi, a few reasons, the electric wasn't the strongest in bad weather, our model also didn't come with the canvas fill in between the awning and the van so in wet weather you couldn't be outside at all, then the awning doesn't cover the the fridge slide or the back table/BBQ table on the kitchen. Hope this helps, Cheers
@@scottnuffinadventures I did a GVM upgrade on my 4x4, Bilstein Shocks and 500kg King springs, with the weight of our x15 on the draw bar and rear fridge ect.. she still sags, I'm thinking I might go airbags, >.< dam bill keeps adding up on this hobby lol

Thanks for letting us know, we try not to have music over our talking, we do also try to set the music low during editing

Thanks we'll keep an eye out, you can't beat a good ALDI special. Normally it is a job for the kids.

Great vid, Can you tell us if it is water proof along the full length of the join between the van and the bag that you mounted
Being canvas you do need to give it a few good soakings. There is small gaps at each end where water does drip down but it keeps us dry
Hi guys, just wanted to get your thoughts on the 270 awning vs the standard? Likes, dislikes?

Does it impede the bedroom at all at the back?
No it doesn't it goes over the top and provides protection over the bed area it keeps it much cooler in the hotter months
Hi just wondering which way the brackets go can't quite make it out in your vid

Now that’s you’ve had it for a bit how long would you say it take to set up and take down? Does it hold up well in strong wind? Thanks

Can you provide some guidance on how you disconnected the wiring to the old electric awning please. I can’t find any reference to it online. Thanks
@@scottnuffinadventures thanks
Hi guys, why did you replace it from the electric awning?

Would you use airbags to help the rear end?
