I really feel that the anime is taking a different path than the manga in order to fix the errors left in the final sections of the story. Look, they removed some pages from the manga and added original scenes like the one on the cliff with Legoshi and Melon or this scene in which they seem to give hints that Louis won't end up with his arranged marriage partner because of the whole thing about her family being involved. involved in the distribution of that drink.
