The manga introduced us to Legoshi's neighbors and his coworkers. I guess the anime didn't think they were important enough characters to so much as show they exist.
I think they just had to condense it for the anime. I'd love it if they did, but the manga does continue to provide a lot of world building and build up that would be hard to adapt smoothly into animation
I think what I enjoyed about this arc is his social interactions with other people. It's a shame that a lot of them and other interactions were changed or completely cut out. The one I'm disappointed about is when he gets the rice cakes and shares them with his apartment building. I loved that scene, such a shame it was cut out.

I can relate to legoshi for this one, mostly helping a friend to hear the problem, but also you'll get blindsided on the details.

In my humble opinion, I think the people involved with Beastars went all out with this season and it worked!
I really like the Beastars anime's use of split screen. It's a nice alternative to cross-cutting.
