I found that when my battery was very low my garage door opened by itself 2-3 times before I figured out it was this unit causing the issue.
I ended up removing it from my garage door, it is too risky to have that issue, especially living in the city where foot traffic is pretty heavy.

You should of used a level when you were mounting the base!

Do they make a hard wired version ? That would be a deal breaker for me. I’d love to have them but I can’t see why I would remove hard wired traditional key pads and install these.

Returned this after battery failed in less than twoweek's worth of use. Will wait for MyQ to resolve the awful battery life and consider trying again.

There is got to be a way of plugging it hardwired. Battery can used as power failure or power adapter being unplugged or something.

Well, the cost is something that I would strongly consider not to buy this, but the fact that it opens up by itself no thank you I’ll pass

I bought this thinking I could close the garage if someone left it open. This is not the case. Seems like an easy thing to add.
