i was mind blown at how much Ranbir expressed himself. He truly loved talking with Nikhil Kamath. The way he just started expressing all his feelings regarding his own relationship dynamic with Rishi Kapoor felt really wholesome.

Ranbir needs a hug. Rishi Kapoor was a great actor, but - by his own admission - had real failings as a father. Kudos to Ranbir for his honesty.

As kapoor men never allowed their women to work etc.. Restricted life.. Kareeena karisma could as babita left her husband.. Their father was a flop actor.. Babita was too but she Walked out of his life

@@PriyankaBh13Babita also does not have a reputation of a good person. So let’s not get into how their personal lives too much. Not all women like to work outside the house. I am willing to bet that if their husbands are making good money majority of women would prefer to not go through the drudgery of office work but stay home.

I think this is raw emotion there. He just expressed about his childhood and his dynamic with his father. It make sense to me why he scared of get sattled with one person. But seeing him with his daughter feels like he is breaking the cycle of father-son toxic dynamic. Which tbh we all faced to some degree.

When I watched Ranbir in Animal, I remembered him in barfi, rocket singh, rockstar, ajab prem.., wake up sid, etc. There was a pre existing impression of his, an affection, admiration for his tremendous versatility. Raw. Refined. Genuine. Amazing actor.
And now, thanks to interviews like yours, we are getting to know him even more closely. And the same words come forth - raw, genuine, loving, evolving... Amazing person.

Anyone following his films easily kmow his bonding with his father its not ideal one but its not worse. We cant fault my dad's dad generation they were like that so coconut and angry men. I understand why ranbir is so emotional but scared of expressing his emotions why he can play vulnerable roles easily. I love this man and his dedication to his crafts plus his ideologies - honest and sincere❤ ranbir please do atleast 2 movies in a year we crave to see you. We know you are nt chasing superstar tag so it's does nt hurt you to taje a long break but ur fans deserve more films of urs on screen. Also i love ur no pr policy

Appreciate Ranbir for so being honest about how a part of his childhood was, it comes from a place of maturity, seems like he is in the process of healing. Thankfully we are better aware today and are starting to have an open conversation, which is a very solid first step . Having said that, its difficult to watch the host toying with his beard/ looking judgmental/ distant/ lost & maybe some understanding the body language would be helpful for the future

I feel that this Interview with Nikhil Kamath ,
😅was a very Genuine, Honest , account of Ranbirs’ True Personality, and his Inner Self’ 👌👌
Loved the way he spoke Frankly about his Dad, Mum, and the Relationship Dynamics’ with both of them….
Especially about the Rows ‘ his Parents often had, but
Yet , at the end of the day, they managed to stay together , and Brought up two Beautiful Children.. 😊
and also about how ‘Old School’ his Dad was…🙂 and how he understands where he comes from …
Reminded me of my own Dad’ who also held ‘Old School’ Principles’ & Thoughts.. but
    only difference would be ,
he was very Liberal , Tolerant , Patient , and Loving at the same time…and expressed his love towards me , his child, in a very Warm , and Affectionate manner..😊
Thanks for sharing this Interview. 🙏
    Ranbir is a Brilliant & Versatile Actor’ & Dancer too ! 👌👌
We wish him all the very Best ! 👍😊
And hope he gets to do more varied Films..
Barfi’ with another Brilliant Actor Priyanka , is my all time Favourite his.
And ‘Wake Up Sid’ is another of my Favourites’
And Yeh Jawani hai Diwani! Which is a great Entertainer , just as Hiw goid a Performer Ranbir is !👌👌😊

Being born and brought up in NYC and charlotte,NC, US, I’ve heard only about ranbhir’s infidelities. However, I’ve really enjoyed watching him in this interview. He’s introspective, kind, vulnerable, and open about his family relationships. I’m also feeling a sense of compassion and empathy for ranbhir as I also come from a Punjabi Sikh family. As with ranbhir, I feared my father deeply even to this day and never looked into his eyes, especially when he was angry. Just like rishi sab (uncle),my dad has a short temper (however my father never drank).
Also, just like my mama’s ji’s in Delhi (whom I would visit during the summers as a child),I was always afraid to go to the drawing room in the evenings because I knew this was the only time my mama jis had to relax after working long hours at their businesses. This is when they would eat and drink, and so were mostly drunk. I think this was the only way they dealt with their stresses because in India, especially back then, going to therapist was extremely taboo. (IMO, I think it’s gotten better in India).
I actually was a fan of his father as my mother loved watching his movies and so as a child, I grew up watching rishi kapoor movies. He was a brilliant actor, and I never once thought he was acting. He had a very romantic side which my mother loved about him. Plus, the fact that he married a Sikh gal made my mom proud love hm more! He wasn’t necessarily a great dancer, but I loved his own unique style of dancing. It was cute.
The story my mom heard was that rishi Sab was totally in awe of Neetu Singh and he was the more emotional of the two. Interesting to hear that rishi sab (uncle) was not very emotional but distant toward ranbhir. I can relate to him with this as I stated above.
I’m glad ranbhir has found Alia! I sensed through her interviews that she was a strong, yet emotional and compassionate woman. You can tell that she’s a confident but not cocky woman As well. She and ranbhir make a great pair. 💗💗
Thanks ranbhir for sharing a part of you and your family experiences growing up.
I felt as if I was an observer in the room with you and Nikhil without any cameras on. Thanks so much for sharing again. Take good care💗🙏🏻
God bless and love to you, Alia, your mom, and of course adorable raha! 💗💗🙏🏻🙏🏻
PS I think you did a wonderful job in rocket Singh. You make a really really handsome Sikh guy!
I’ve seen most of alia’s movies but am excited to see more of yours after this interview:)

I asked 'Are you a Rishi kapoor's son? and he just looked at me, surprised and said 'yes!'[ I was more curious to know his father than young Ranbir who wasn't celebrity yet.] So his who was in the lobby came so fast with a drink on his hand ..he was lil concern towards his son like who you talking with . I took a pic with dad not with son. [I wish I should have taken with him too..thinking future star✨]

Ranbir and I are the same age, so it would be false to say that I watched much of his fathers work. Though, it may be cliche but I always felt the late Rishi’s personality was very much larger than life. He had that aura of patriarch, in that kind of self-assured, exuberant way. It’s not at all surprising to hear that Ranbir feels he hasn’t grieved, there are some losses that leave such a large vacuum, that you would rather not confront it and look away. Clearly, Kapoor Senior made mistakes, but nobody can accuse him of not making an impact. You need impactful characters in a family. I hope their family heal, and by extension I’m hoping therefore to see a shift in Ranbir, he is still that well-raised, humble, polite kid. I hope that he becomes a little more abrasive and assertive. Clearly as an artist, there are some underlying issues with self consciousness, and possibly guilt. It would be nice to see him shed that.

From woman to woman, take this podcast with a grain of salt. Why are you picking 10 secs out of this whole thing? He is talking about mental health issues, relationships with his family and literally talked about therapy as well. We need more men to come out and support other men in society because such issues are real, & that's how they become less violent, less agressive and be more empathetic. Why would should we as a society use entertainment to dictate our morality? I haven't watched that movie because that's my choice. Like every person is entitled to their opinion. Liking one thing doesn't make their whole personality. Grow the eff up.

The interviewer needs to let him talk...I'm 2 and a half minutes in and he's already cut him off thrice...

@_chapternumberone_8782 the video has a thumbnail of Ranbir Kapoor...I'm sorry I don't have the attention span of a "reel watcher" like you. Also, did you just say Ranbir speaks so much? Why did you even click on the video then? He's expressing himself, not giving two-word answers like you'd have him do. Anything more than two words in a sentence would seem nonsensical to you because you cannot make sense of them, so, I'm not surprised by your comment. I wish you well, I wish you get to see the world beyond the two words you can comprehend.

Rishi seems like a really toxic person. Abusive and cheating husband. Distant and loud father. Very entitled and opinionated as a person. Seems like he was somehow jealous of his son to me.
