So today at work, I work at a liquor store in Texas, I had a customer come in and ask for root bear schnapps. He then says he is going to add it to his hot chocolate. I bought a van today, Chrome. I took the leap and bought a 2006 Ford E-350 tall van, need to remove seats and wheelchair ramp.... then the conversion begins. Thanks for motivating me to go for it.

There are volunteer cabins in the SW. they are maintained and stocked by people using them. They keep the local secretive though to help prevent vandals

One first goes through a time of almost hating oneself and then putting up with oneself and then learning to be comfortable with oneself and then to look out from oneself and praise God for such majesty shown in His nature! 33 years ago I came to live alone in a small cabin in the woods and went through many of those same feelings. Now I couldn't think of living anywhere else but in the forest with all that nature offers us. It's truly a blessing to see deer and other wildlife everyday. The hooting of the owls at night... And, the quiet. There isn't anything better.
I have to admit, I’ve never thought about having a bulldog. I’ve had a German Shepard, Golden retriever, and now a Boarder Collie. But, I have to say, that Cruzie Bear is a cutie. And such a fun personality. When he snorts it sound like he’s purring. Enjoy your time out there and stay warm Chrome.
Cruz *is* adorable - but those poor dogs' snuffling and snorting is because they are having trouble breathing.
I think it's terrible that people keep breeding these brachycephalic breeds. You can rent cabins up around the Likely & Horsefly areas, for $300-400 per month, for the fall/winter/spring months, a few are "year-round". I know a gold-chaser who is renting one, just out of Likely, for the year. Also, met a guy renting a cabin on 300 acres, near 100 Mile House.

I haven't camped in about 5 yrs & the beauty of the woods can't be beat imo. I think every kid should have to go camping a few times in their life & experience the other side of life instead of constant electronics.

One thing I love about freshly fallen snow is that it absorbs sound waves so it is so quiet and peaceful!
Aluminum foil is your friend. Wrap a potato. Throw it in the coals (40 min) Wrap your meat or fish with vegetables and butter or oil Throw on fire grate or burger holder. 25-35 min.

Snow makes everything beautiful, especially when things are beautiful to start with. A warm comfortable place to sleep and a winter wonderland out there with you and a good friend what more could you ask for.

Yeah, there has always been(since a kid) a calm retreat when in the bush! It feels to me as a warm hug when surrounded by the greenery! It's Godly! And practically there is negative ions warming our souls and / or too when by water/ocean/lake as the waves radiate negative ions to lift the dirt of our souls Up and Out! Leaving us just that much more thankful for that nature and for our very breath!
Enjoy! Throwing Up a prayer for Joseph! I used to love going hunting with the natives in Squamish. They so respectiveful of nature and acknowledge it's from God. I just helped with scouting which was so enthralling so I feel Joseph but it's like scuba diving we should bring a buddy!

I have a cabin back in the woods . I cut the road in and cut and pile firewood in the summer and fall so I can survive when it’s -25 below .. don’t take kindly to weekends thinking they just found a isolated forgotten place in the back country and using my stash .

Baught the 1000 watt jackery, two 60 watt solar panals. Uses 5% of battery to cook coffee at 800 watts. Still got lots of power. Stated living in my SUV almost two weeks ago here in wyoming. Got a 12 volt electric blanket at walmart. Things awsome, plugged into my car, didnt effect the car battery at all. Didnt need to use the jackery. Stayed real warm in my car despite being below freezing. (-:
