Left the city life a long time ago. I enjoy my cabin in the the mountains with my wife, kids and 2 dogs. In the morning I sit on my front porch with a hot cup of coffee, 2 dogs and truly enjoy the silence in a world that never stops talking. If you listen closely enough the silence is beautiful!

You should know your videos are a highlight in my day, I am a 75 year old man who used to “vanlife” in the late ‘60’s (before it was cool) ha....circumstances beyond Covid-19 now keep me in a conventional home....but I still dream of the time in the future when I can once again hit the road. Until then I will vicariously follow your channel, to every day get out into the backcountry! Thanks

I totally agree that the drone can be a game changer, BUT many/most UA-cam van lifers make their videos all about the beauty and the ‘impressive shots’. It’s as if they live for the camera and not for a real life. The wake-ups at Walmart, the joy of a new Garmon, the discovery of an abandoned motel and of course, your pure, honest commentary are what brings this viewer back time and again. The beauty of a drone camera is that you can pop it up to capture a drive-by scene, then instead of turning around to go back and pick up the camera you just fly it over to you. Wait until you start digging into the settings in the DJI Fly app to record in D-cine mode and start applying your own color grading to make flight videos just "pop" even more. I love that doggo.
When you think that text message went all the way to outer space and back, one hour is not bad at all.... it's faster than ME replying to texts with WiFi lollll 🚀☄️🛰️
Hi Chrome, little tip, make sure you’re ‘return to home’ altitude is set to the maximum legal in your country. That way if you ever do lose signal behind a building or down in a valley the drone won’t try to come home at the altitude it lost your signal and fly into an obstacle. It’s often set quite low from the factory. Enjoyed the video and I’m sure you’ll learn the ins and outs of aerial photography really quickly. 👍👍

I'm a terrible drone pilot. I thought I could do it, and got a drone reviewers said was very easy to fly... got it stuck in two trees & crashed it multiple times. Now it needs repairs. 💔

We were MADE to enjoy nature! I believe this is true of animals too. I remember myself watching a beautiful sunset from a window in my house, and looking over and seeing my dogs lazily lying next to each other on the top of their "hill" and doing the same. I had to go outside and join them. It's the simple things!

When I say “Wow” 8 times in a video, you know it’s NOT just a “boring day-in-the-life” video! The scenery is incredible...and the drone will make your already beautiful locations EPIC. (And cooking frozen pizza in cast iron is pretty epic too!)
You want to make even better coffee. Put the grinds directly in your cup. Pour the hot water in, let it steep for a couple minutes. Then pour it through the strainer. Hard part is not being messy about it, but the cup of coffee is the best
If me and my blind German shepherd had somewhere like this to go we would be out every weekend i also love watching my dog explore the world it makes me so happy
If your drone weighs more than 250g you need to register it with Dot and get a pilots certificate. The fines are serious and the Rcmp can fine you $1000 dollars. If its under 250g no registration or pilots cert required.

Love the drone footage but I also think it’s rad you went so long without using one and were successful! You stay true to what you preach Chrome! That’s integrity ❤️
Drone shots look great Chrome ! One tip try to hand launch and catch with the mini or at least have it land on something other than the ground. When you take off or land on the ground it stirs up any grit and the camera doesn’t like that , I’ve had one little piece of sand get lodged in the gimbal and it created some grief. Have fun flying !
Tip, don't store your drone in the dash. The heat will cause battery to swell. My brother and I have dji mavic zoom 2. He made that mistake. You will end up replacing the battery. Also if you have same model, the return to home feature works great. And if it lose signal to long, it will auto return
We were just in that area today. Beautiful area and so many side roads. Just love it. I should start using my drone, just haven’t had time to learn how to use it.
Lol9k, I bought a drone about 3 Christmases ago. It's still in the box... been a chicken about trying to use it. And no, nature never gets boring. It's dynamic, ever changing.

Drone shots look great Chrome ! One tip try to hand launch and catch with the mini or at least have it land on something other than the ground. When you take off or land on the ground it stirs up any grit and the camera doesn’t like that , I’ve had one little piece of sand get lodged in the gimbal and it created some grief. Have fun flying !
Tip, don't store your drone in the dash. The heat will cause battery to swell. My brother and I have dji mavic zoom 2. He made that mistake. You will end up replacing the battery. Also if you have same model, the return to home feature works great. And if it lose signal to long, it will auto return
