- Naples International Airport (NAP, LIRN) (Italian: Aeroporto Internazionale di Napoli,) is the international airport serving Naples, Italy. It is located 5.9 km north-northeast of the city in the Capodichino district of Naples.
Naples, with a metropolitan population of nearly three million is the largest metropolitan area of Europe which does not serve as a hub nor secondary hub of any airline.
In this movie we fly towards a cloudy Naples. We fly towards runway 06 which means we will be flying over the city. In summer certainly a beautiful view!
Today an approach with some rain on final just before touchdown.

Als je op het vliegen bent uitgekeken kun je met deze first officer nog een muzikaal duo gaan vormen. Keurige landing trouwens met deze omstandigheden.

Nog wel een vraag: Als het vliegtuig het signaal oppikt van het ILS/Localizer, begint het dan uit zichzelf al koers te wijzigen en te dalen richting de baan? Of moeten alle handelingen daarna nog handmatig gedaan worden?

Ik ben reeds eens op de radio herkend, waarna ik een berichtje ontving op m'n Instagram account.
Passagiers hebben me nog niet herkend zover ik weet.
Het vliegtuig kan het signaal (mits aan bepaalde voorwaarden zijn gedaan) automatisch volgen.
ILS frequency moet ingesteld en herkend zijn, op de juiste inbound course.
AutoPilot aan en de "approach mode" moet geselecteerd worden.
Als je het op de hand vliegt.... dan moet je zelf de daling inzetten en koers "vasthouden".
Ik hoop dat het antwoord duidelijk is.

Quick question, our airline is black and white about landing in the touchdown zone regardless of runway length, nice touchdown but very close to the last marking, would you have called a go around if her float took you slightly past it?
This was a close to GoAround call indeed!
Split second later... and we had performed a GoAround.
@@mightymkl thank you for the reply. Your video was useful for my visit there last week. Offset ils with a steep app, a downslope and short touchdown zone meant we almost did the same thing

Wij zien de baan eerder dan dat je kan zien wat de GoPro filmt.
Ruiterwissers. We hebben er 2 en kunnen in 4 standen gezet worden.
Simpel gezegd: Off, Low, Med & High.... Je kan ze ook onafhankelijk van elkaar gebruiken.
En dat gebeurde hier.
Ik had op een gegeven moment geen ruiterwisser nodig omdat m'n raam droog bleef. (Je hoorde hem ook piepen over een droog raam). Dus zette ik hem uit. Op het rechter raam bleef wat neerslag komen. Dus hield ze die aan. :-)

This is rather impossible... You are right.. But normally they give you vectors and let you descent to a lower altitude.

Haha nee, vanaf na de intro tot aan het eind hoor ik een soort tik/piep 1:18 - 1:20 hoor je het denk ik het duidelijkst, want dan praat er niemand
