I was at the Highland games and saw this first hand. Got to meet Hafthor. He is genuinely a nice guy! What a power house.
Can't wait for next year! Thanks for the awesome video!

I’m from England and changed my training to be reminiscent of a thrower. With aspects of strong man. Looking forward to doing my first highland game in a year.

Fuck failed twice and gets it third time all in same lift. That's strength. So many would just drop it, rest and try again

The crazy thing is that the 341 lb press was Hafthor's cleanest press! Unreal!

Justin Altman it looks like he took extra time to size it up and get ready for it. Plus practice from previous attempts, I would assume this isn't something that he would practice as often and log press or atlas stones for example

Agree with Spencer. He got the technique right in the last lift and I recon he even had more in the tank!

Thor inspired me to lift some natural stones I found over my shoulder . Man was it tough! But I used the technique Thor shows Larry wheels in one of his videos . I got the stones up no problem. Thx for inspiring me guys!

Is that Matjaž Belšak at 1:21?
Edit: Nevermind. At 5:10 the same guy is on the screen, and it is definitely not him.

I’m watching The Last Kingdom and I can’t help but to imagine a Great War happening exactly where they are. Also imagine if Halfthor was alive 1000 years ago, we would read about him to this day.

02:38 He could have injured his ankle pretty bad at that moment when he dropped that weight. Since he is distracting himself and not getting sight of what is happening.
