Welcome back or Benvenuti to "Tales from Tuscany" if it's your first visit.
We are David and Marisa and we have just arrived at our new home in Chianni Tuscany, after purchasing our Italian home "sight-unseen" during the pandemic.
After just a couple of days at our new home in Chianni, we have not come up for air LOL :D
Between cleaning, shopping, antique hunting, wonderful food and making new friends, we are exhausted in the best possible way!
There's no time for jet-lag and we are sleeping on a mattress on the floor, which is in fact, the only thing that is soft in the entire house at the moment.
We have no chairs and no tables but that start to change today because of our visit to our lovely new friends at "Tutto Torna Antiques" in Montaione.
You'll see all my lovely purchases during the video and see how, little by little, the style of the house will come together.
We hope that you love joining us on our daily quest to renovate and decorate our little gem of 13th century history in the heart of Chianni. We are so enjoying sharing it with you.

Yay, it was our turn today! Thank you for trusting us enough to buy unseen (well, you'd already done that with the house so why wouldn't you?) and then coming to collect and buying more... It was lovely to meet you finally in person and then bump into you elsewhere, in fact twice! I'm glad you enjoyed your wee jaunt over the gorgeous countryside between Chianni and Montaione and then your windy walk in our town on such a hot day. Yes, it can be terrible in the wintertime but boy, were we happy about it especially this summer. xxx
Yes indeed...your turn finally happened my lovely! We are over the moon with our purchases, and I'm constantly jumping into you "shop" to see your new items online! I love just walking around the cities and getting lost. Did you have a real estate person help you find the house or did you do it all on your own?
Ciao John! Yes we agree...it's so much fun to just wander about! So if you go back and watch Episode 1, you'll understand that we purchased "sight-unseen" via my research on the internet. I found the house on a website and contacted the agent, who then videoed the house for us. We had never been to Chianni, or that area arriving to collect the key! I. have excellent contacts if you need assistance. Thanks again for viewing and see you next time!🥰😘🤗
Wow! Small pizza?!! I'd have leftovers for a few days!! Is that car pacing the beers? IF he stopped, it would be an ugly crash if they're really tailgating the car!
LOL Wendy! The pizzas are extremely fine crusted, so not as heavy as you might think. If you're as hungry as we were, it's easy to eat the lot! 😄😋In Europe you often see professional cyclists following closely behind a lead car. It's part of their training and they only do it on quieter roads where it's safe to do so. Just part of the huge "road racing" culture in Europe. Our home is a very popular area for cyclists as the rolling hills and scenery make for great touring! Hope you enjoyed it! 🥰😘🤗
