Looks like Northern/US Elevator style equipment. Northern is the absolute best. It's the only only brand of elevator I'm never been stuck in and never had a problem with. Plus, Northern invented door lock monitoring to save your life if someone pushes the gate switch with the doors open and, at the same time, a tech forgets to remove a jumper. The original version consisted of a PCB fault monitor and a set of door bypass switches.
Had a sash weight last week with dried concrete on it. Bottom landing. Door wasn’t fully Closing and the relating cable had a bunch of slack Bc the sash weight wasn’t fully dropping. That cable wasn’t getting caught on the hanging rollers. Was a mess LOL. Cleaned it up and went on my way. Slack was released and sash weight dropped in nicely.
I like to install the bolt so the head is on top of the hanger, add a nut to secure the bolt, hook up the cable, and then add a jam nut. Makes it so much easier to remove when having to replace them in the future.
Wow what happens when a hydro cylindar blows out. Also I have also always wondered what occurs if a hydro tank doesn't have enough fluid to make it to the top landing. Love your videos!
This blow wasn’t crazy. It wouldn’t hold the elevator at the floor level, when I tested it before I shut it down it was dropping like two inches in a couple minutes.
Hey Mike, how long have you been doing this for? I seriously can’t wait to start working in the industry, hopefully it’ll be sometime soon but work got pretty slow here in Chicago, sounds like everything will pick back up next year
There is multiple rules I would say, like don’t use a jumper to troubleshoot. There was a pretty big incident using jumpers at my work so I brushed up on them lol
Just replaced one the other day. On my way to an entrapment call right now.
Good luck, be safe.
Makes me think back to when I was “stuck” in that old Dover elevator near me. Oh what a day that was.

Yes that is a good way to do it.
I’ve not had to fit one of these in many years 👍👍

I started in the trade in August of 2010, it was a great decision.
The Norther door systems are similar to Armor, but better.
Which do you like better (doors only), Northern or Armor?
What’s the elevator jumper use rule? My boss pop quizzed me yesterday lol

@@MQElevators gate switch and hall doors jumped out at the same time. Was my reply. Lol
