Guide Shoes Change
Part of the work to be done on board in the ten year retrofit is changing the guide shoes on both of the elevators. The top ones are a little more difficult than the bottom ones but it went pretty smooth.
Thanks for watching.

New Doors

Finally back and uploading some NFLD videos. I'm not sure how I feel about the quality of the new doors but they are definitely an upgrade from the state they were in previously. Thanks for watching. Mike
what is that suitcase and WHERE DO I GET IT!?
Lol, good luck w/Unitec you’ll get wrong ones from them as well as they have no real incentives so work w/you, they’d rather make you look incompetent first then they’ll finally get you what you need. But thats just my 2cents. Wish you the best dealing w/them. And yes that small box resembles the Adam’s/ Cedes unit.. Also a limp/bandaid just blow out the motor once the brushes are removed.
What I never could understand is why there are so few inspectors for large cities when you say at the same time that there is never enough time in a day to do everything that needs to be done!
If the door opener/closer is this fuc*ked up, what about the rest of the mechanicals on this Otis elevator? Don’t think I’ll ride that one today😂
Those heads are junk it needs a new head
MQ Haven't seen many of your elevator videos lately. Hope your still able to make them. I'm electro/mechanically inclined so find your elevator videos very interesting.
no gloves you sir are an animal, respect
Imagine 4 leaf
it's like a Bruce Willis movie
Lmfao😂. When your cutting it close to the deadline anything goes, dedication lol.
You consistently wind up working harder on Friday afternoon than any other time. Be careful what you start. “Don’t borrow trouble” the old timers used to say.
Good job Aye........
New camera i see? A 360 one?
Kone?
Where would I buy the tool do you use to open the door? Ir should I make my own from the steel rode?
Not good Aye!?!
I really want to work with elevators...
Correction fellow elevator man. There is only one GOD. Stay safe.
dented pipe stands..not good brother. keep an eye out for that. that thing folds and you retire early
The most expensive repair. :)

Seriously UA-cam? Canadian elevator repair at 3:46am, eh?... Subscribed...
2nd year apprentice out of local 85 Michigan here, is this unit a bfld?
Thank you so much for your video. It is a huge help!!!
That’s an old F.S Payne brake
Looking at it, I think everything else will fail before those Bow Shackles, the rope looks bad.
Going down ?
The zip ties act as a stoping pin to prevent the unscrewing
Looks like a Otis car top definitely Otis safety gear
And the janitor couldn’t even pick that out?
They probably put them there in an attempt to hold the lift…and it backfired.
Hey, if it works it works 🤣
Im curious why weren’t the rags being picked up by the sensor, it’s obviously working because he waved his hand in front of it and it opened
My guess is they’re sitting below the sensor.
can you do a video explaining how an overspeéd governor is connected for the wiring
Easy $$$
We get those types of calls as well Crappy but easy money.
Just eaht u need on a Monday morning 😅
Whereabouts is this? This looks pretty European
"It's fine for a few more years". Oh my
Who does this on a Friday? My old boss that’s who 😂
Hope that’s not the only one
It sounds like a pinball machine that is stuck on the game reset

Optical sensors for jack sync monitoring the mags/black sensors just as Fd. Imho telescoping jacks you can keep em.

Me : How is business ? MQ : Up and Down TBH😃
🤣 Totally understand 💯
I put handles on all of my units like that
Zippie some door handles to it
Are you able to tell me when on some high speed elevators there’s cables between the cab and the counterweight underneath (I’m not on about the ones that hang below all elevators that have the electrical connections for the cab)
Those are compensation cables. When the car is at the top or bottom, the weight of the regular overhead cables is shifted to one side of the sheave, and that can throw the balance off... especially for high rise cars. So the design engineers may add compensating cables running below the car and counterweight which serve to add weight where it's missing, and thus it improves the balance. It adds cost, so it's only done when necessary.
You know my feelings about them 🤢🤢🤢😂😂🇬🇧
