Peter Shamshiri then joins, first looking to Grants Pass v. Johnson, the SCOTUS case tackling an Oregon municipality’s criminalization of sleeping outdoors in an attempt to initiate police crackdowns on homelessness, discussing the precedent of Martin v. Boise - requiring adequate shelter beds for the unhoused population before the criminalization of “camping” - that this case is attempting to overturn, and framing it within the context of the 8th Amendment’s prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment. After further contextualizing this case within the West Coast’s ongoing crusade against the houseless, and tackling how a Court desperate to undermine the 8th Amendment is likely to handle it, Shamshiri turns to Idaho and Moyle v. United States, and the Supreme Court’s impending decision on whether the US Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act requiring necessary care in life-threatening situations should override Idaho’s stringent abortion ban (it should). Next, Peter, Sam, and Emma parse through Starbucks v. McKinney, Starbucks’ challenge to the NLRB’s lower standards for court injunctions, allowing them to rush to prevent potential unfair labor practices while they assess the situation, and what the Supreme Court’s likely anti-labor decision will mean for the future of the NLRB, before wrapping up with a conversation on the “novel” case around Donald Trump’s presidential immunity, and what dwindling faith in the Supreme Court means for the American legal profession.

And they did say it was up to states to regulate women's pregnancies. Until that is, that Republicans ban all abortions, then they will say it is meant to be decided by the federal government. SCOTUS as it is today is ruled by scum political hacks, everything they do is to back up a current Republican position. Like they said here, only if Biden wins, will they decide that a president can in fact be held accountable if he breaks the law. If they did not do that, it would give Biden permission to put a hit on the conservative justices as a "threat to democracy" and allowable.

Our of curiosity, if the state murders someone the state knows to be innocent and that is fine under the 8th, what exactly isn't? Fast forward bow and you have 3 justices to the right of Scalia and 2 who are right about where he is. Maybe you don't know what an example is?us? Or what facts are you looking for?
This court heard arguments that a president is absolutely immune from all crimes associated with presidential duties including calling for assassinations, an abortion case where women's organs are fine to remove to save a fetus, and a case that will gut all federal regulatory agencies. Homeless people being beaten by police is not even that bad compared to women having no bodily autonomy while "the life of the mother" is hotly contested.

      Imagine backing a Genocider
Like vote Hitler Pogues at the DNC
      PRO PEACE 🕊️
      PARTY FOR PEACE ✌️
Focus on the solution SIR: *Govt by Referenda 70/30 split.* By Mascot Party or *Velvet Revolution*
Single Issue Referendums with thresholds and a social contract means Communities can vote their own laws.
A Public Authority can audit police and prosecute bad cops in our own courts.
Nationalise resources and give Indigenous peoples the right of Sovereignty over them as Guardians.
This can be achieved through a General Strike or Velvet Revolution, much like the Occupy movement, peacefully occupying State Buildings until a People's Mandate can be implemented.
With the appropriate checks and balances, you could have a national digital forum where qualified professionals can debate the issues in a public setting without all the disinformation and bad faith antics, hatespeech etc.
Any vote would need to pass the 70% threshold, with a veto or _rewrite_ vote needing 30%.
The issues would be debated, the public educated, and then a vote taken. Votes that fail will have to wait a year before trying again. Any new proposal (Citizen Initiated Referendum) would have to reach a threshold of support before it made it onto the register. This would be subject to a Social Contract (New Constitution) that forbids human rights abuses and discrimination.
That can be written in the same manner based on the core principles we all share. Councils and Boards could operate in the same fashion at Scale.
It works in a way that obligates people to better educate themselves ( that is to use logic and evidence in their reasoning ) for a better understanding of the issues, and then take collective responsibility for the outcomes. As opposed to the divisive US v them scapegoating and bi-partisan finger pointing the current Capitalist Pyramid Scheme runs on.
We need Government by People's Referenda, either through Mascot Candidates or Peaceful Occupation of the Capitals until one is established.
Make it an annual March on Oct 14.

Maybe this court might actually consider the actual charges that have been so flippantly levied against Trump in such a timely and ad hoc fashion. Imagine that. Perhaps the shallowness of these myriad charges may finally be brought to account by a higher authority than any state D.a.

Just my two cents y'all as a stakeholder I don't think you have to say "pregnant person" every time; it's okay and indeed important to center women in the conversation, just without excluding anyone else. In the context of discussing a law or the text of a law etc it is absolutely important to use egalitarian language sometimes.
