Hello, The correction can be done by simply mailing the documents to the agency with your check, as well as a form of proof to show the error such as a birth certificate. I would also recommend including a short handwritten letter noting the error and the change that needs to be made

If your passport was issued less than a year ago you will need a DS-5504 and the fee would be $60 to have that expedited. If it was over a year ago you will need a DS-82 and the fee would be $170
Hi, In order to personally drop your documents for processing, you will need to make an appointment and have a travel date within 72 hours. If there is no need for expediting the Passport, you will need to ship it there.
If my divorce decree was issued before I became a citizen and I forgot my divorce decree on the day of neutralization. Therefore my first passport was issued with my birth name. Will my divorce decree still be acceptable? All my documents, bank accounts and properties are in the name with my divorce decree, and that name has been used since I was a child, at school and work.

I became a us citizen back in 2011 and changed my name so i received my certificate with my new name. This years i changed my name back to my original my question is i want to apply for a passport using my current original name but with out changing my certificate's name since it has the other name and in the future replace my certificate with my original name. Im not sure if you understand me but i want to know if that is possible because replacing a certificate takes longer and i need to travel outside the country for emergency purposes.

if you change completely (not just the last name for marriage) .. if your old passport is expired with your old name do you still need to pick “re new passport” or is it easier to go with “new passport” all together?

My court ordered name change is upper and lowercase not all caps. Would I still have to change the name on the passport?
No, As long as the name itself matches; for example -- Court Document is Matthew and on passport MATTHEW, then no change is needed

No. Do not send your Social Security Card. Only a court ordered name change or something issued by the court

Depending on the whether you expedite or not, it can take up to 12 weeks for standard or 6 weeks for expedited through the post office.
