It seemed as though Argentina had seen better days. Their people i assure you have paid the price of harboring war criminals by committing war crimes against their own people. I was there in 1994 & in those 5 days i saw crowds of people & never not once did i see anyone with a smile. And a people in so much denial of the crumbling state of their nation. They needed guns and explosives, the dictator has them, ergo we will fight a common enemy by taking those Guns and Explosives. But De Valera's attitude to fugitive N**** or the Irish support for dictators such as the Argentine Junta during the Falklands war is deeper than just the practicality of Arms procurement.

    The journey of this case through the Argentine judiciary is reminiscent of the ping-pong played out in U.S. courts in certain cases. Find a judge that is sympathetic to the case one wishes to make, and get a different decision. If there’s sufficient money to pay lawyers and court costs, a case may be strung out indefinitely….

    In Finland, an admirer commissioned stamps with a picture of Priebke from online service and sent them to Priebke's son as well. This caused a stir in 2007, and Posti Group had to apologize.
    However, local Nazis like Karl-Erik Ladau were never held accountable for their actions. He was wounded seven times and promoted to major. Ladau was a member of the electoral college in 1968. So-called gray eminence.

      Finland fought for years alongside the Nazi's. I wonder how the country has dealt with that part of its history. And it can't be out of self defense, as it had successfully defended itself in the Winter War, and the USSR wasn't going to invade the country again that it could barely defeat in 1940 when the USSR was involved with a Titanic life of death struggle with Germany. And it cannot be that Finland wanted to regain its lost territory because it advanced far beyond those lost territories, they wanted to take all of Karelia. Not passing any moral judgment on Fins today, I am curious how Fins today view that war and their country in it.

    • @jussim.konttinen4981
      @jussim.konttinen4981 2 роки тому +2

      @@chaptermasterpedrokantor1623 They deny everything because, according to them, Social Democrats have built Finland. In my opinion, Finland not only fought together with the Nazis, but became neo-nazi after the communist were ousted. Quite similar as Belarus today, only different symbols. The SDP had no real power in society between 1949 and 1982. In Western Europe, authoritarianism has not endured the wealth and freedom that liberalism brings.

    I was living in São Paulo when Dr. Mengele drowned. I looked at a city map and Mengele lived only about a mile from me as the crow flies. Later when I lived in Chile, I went to see Sting perform in Bariloche (which is near the border) because Sting wouldn't perform in Chile while Pinochet was in power - so I must have come pretty close to Priebke. And last night, I found out my friend's son works almost directly for Jeff Bezos. OK, so maybe Bezos isn't quite as bad as Mengele or Priebke. Bezos is more like Albert Speer - he makes efficient use of essentially slave labor.
