With his investigative skills, if Mark Felton cannot find these treasures no one else can
I've been binge watching Mark Felton Productions for the past 3 hours...it's worth the sacrificed sleep, but I'll be cranky in the morning.
Back in high school I had a professor whose dad took part in Operation Bernhard.
He was part of the team of scientists working on developing ways to duplicate the rag paper used for british bank notes
They should add a class called "fun rumors an gossip" alongside math an reading that way everyone can pass at least one class 😜🔥🔱🔥
Great Historic Documentary , thanks Dr. Felton , I transcribe the story and see than have been much work and dedication . Is incredible thanks more a time .
Once again Dr. Felton delivers a gem of a story almost none of have ever heard of or would have ever thought of.
Thank you again sir. You and your channels are a great way to escape this bleak time where all in. Have a nice day.
never realised Skorzeny ended up living the life of Riley in sunny Spain. He really did have a good war.
He is rumoured to have become an agent for the Mossad
@@SenorTucano it wouldnt surprise me given all the ex-Nazis hired by Western govts.
Love his for sure lover Great female German pilot in another of Mark’s things I believe.
Oh see other Mark things on him. He risked his life and kicked ass in several commando actions. A true warrior compared to a lot of the Nazi scum he had to work with or for.
Allied soldiers wearing civilian clothes or Axis uniforms in some missions reason they let him go for the battle of the bulge wearing of US uniforms. Any war crime the allies were also guilty of they convicted but no punishment or just let them go. Except for him liberating funds for himself he not one of the bad guys of the war as far as I can tell.
not only him
Mark is the new History channel, but much better
Warden:"How's Skorzeny handling prison? Taking it pretty hard?"
Guard:"No, not at all. Always has a smile on his face, actually."
Ha, well crafted!
Wife asks ‘ where are we going on holiday?’
I reply : ´the Austrian lakes , I heard that it’s great for scuba diving ‘ 😎
Believe me, there is nothing much to be found. Only small things like a P-47 fished out of Traunsee a few years ago. "Dotty Mae" is the name of the plane, if you are interested.
@@theflash9613 True. There IS nothing much to be found. But there WAS...😊
Anyway, it could always be that a stranger on the Internet wants to mislead you...
So I would highly recommend a vacation in Austria 😁
Yes probably see you all there then 😂
@@theflash9613 Not currently. It’s about as nice as being present during some black riots in the US. Okay, maybe not near the mentioned lakes. But there is not much to be found. Hundreds of Austrian and German divers can confirm that. They have been searching for these treasures for decades.
Lake Toplitz is especially treacherous, because of the calm and cold water.
Some divers have found something there though: death.
This is amazing with the number of inventions that kept coming during WW2! A+ on your research Mark.
Skorzeny: "I will go to spain and become a part of the high society and enjoy the nice weather. What will you do with your cut?"
Spacil: "I will stay here, buy some supermarkets and work as a clerk."
Skorzeny: "..."
Spacil: "IN-VEST-MENT is the key!"
When a clock goes forward it goes 'tic-tac' - but when Rommel goes backwards, it's tactic. :)
Skorzeny's story after the war is as crazy as during. Absolute madman, but you have to respect how brilliant he was!
Each and every Mark Felton story is movie material.
That's called GOOD STORYTELLING

“Always with the negative waves, Moriarty”
I was thinking the same thing.
Amazing amount of details ... must have taking many hours in the archives - good work
Mark, just saw you on American TV, “Top Tens of Warfare: Battles,” as I was watching this video. Very cool.
This could get the Holywood treatment - it’s so incredible!! - thanks again Mark - you keep raising the bar in terms of incredible stories from WW2
"The remaining gold bullion was taken by Stalin," The man of Steal 😅😂
Well done so true
Well done.
Just imagine how many gold bars and coins are still buried around Germany, just waiting to be found.
My Dad was stationed in West Germany in the early 60's. He told me that one time when they were out on maneuvers, they came across a cave, inside they found a cache of Nazi weapons & ammunition....stored away for a later time I guess.
I found one
@@pauliegualtieri4314 I was in JROTC and our Senior Instructor was a Tank Platoon commander in the 70’s-80’s. Anyways, he says his platoon came across some old ww2 bunkers and inside one a welded hatch were two chests full of Nazi and Swiss gold coins. He says some federal suit and ties (probably CIA) got there within a few days and made him sign some paperwork saying that incident never happened and took the gold with them in secure transports. I have never known this man lie about anything and he seemed pretty serious about it.
@@yostupidmama1 With ALL that the Nazi's plundered, there probably is still more out there too!
@@pauliegualtieri4314 most of the crap they stole probably ended up in the Vatican
That was seriously one of your most entertaining videos. Especially in that final minute and the realization that there was more out there. It was pretty surreal. Now, instead of thinking about stupid pirate myths on a beach in a chest with a skull and crossbones on it, this here, instead, is the real skull and crossbones treasure. We can think of it as alpine treasure, or within a crystal clear blue lake with snow-capped mountains around.
man i love that intro and outro music so damn much now. im addicted to hearing it
Mark, how about the treasure of Mussolini, when he was captured by the communist resistance he and his mistress had millions of bullion etc. It vanished until today without a trace
Id think that the commis took it dont you think?
@@janknoblich4129 they shared it equally😂😂😂
@@pjbrawn2646 lmao yea stalin shared it equally with himself.
@@cantbanme792 Reminds me of how the Communist part of the Spanish for some stupid reason sent their gold reserves to the Soviet Union during the Civil war, then were shocked when they didn't get it back.
Rumour has it that Gucci used it as seed capital for their fashion house
Who else gets hyped when you hear the opening theme music?
Do you know its name?
Dr. Funk approves
@@I_Have_The_Most_Japanese_Music ?
@@RandomEmperor One of the German bank officials mentioned was named something like Dr. Wilhelm Funk, kinda ironic for a German I think, and interesting.

i thought u said the song name.
U know the intro song?
I love this channel. What a cool story! Thanks for adding value to my life sir.
This would make a good movie.
Unfortunately, it would probably star Tom Cruise.
Think there was one loosley based on this with Bill Murray.

Best channel on YT, reminds me of the good ole days when there was history on history channel
That starting music just get me prepared for greatness.

I love this channel, I feel like German war history gets so overlooked due to everyone’s perception of the Nazis. They may have been cruel, but their history is so fascinating.

Another great video. Thanks.
This channel is a treasure trove of WW2 stories I know that.
The way the Soldier at 3:00 looks at the camera as he's licking his thumb is such a chad look, He looks so smug. What a legend.
It makes me wonder how Mark finds all these videos. Most history shows on youtube just draw things these days... Great effort Sir!
When they said headed “south” i believe it was South America.
Couldn't be because they meeded the gold to be safe, while here it would be stolen within 40 seconds.
@@neku9837 yeah it was safe and unfound billions is what was kept safer have yet to be found.
Lots of Nazi gold and many currencies turned up in Argentina over the years...

No he said 500 km moved after that which would be the distance between Berlin and Bavaria/Austria where the Alpenfestung was and the terrain is whit mountains and hills far more easy to defend than the Berlin flat lands, think they also wanted to do there there last stand but this did´t happen.
