5 years late to the party, but great video man! This is my favorite doors song… it makes me feel ways unlike any other song they wrote. I hope to learn it on guitar one day.
Hes playing the Bm pentatonic over a D - Am - G progression . Is this the key of D ? ? B is the relative minor of D . Is this how it works ? Any ideas help us out man .
freud Do you have eyes man? Incase you don’t understand the chords at the moment of “to please the lion” these are bar chords you press your pointing finger on all strings and ring finger and pinky finger play a power chord hope this helped
You know, I had the same problem, I have an accurate ear, and I tryed to play a lot of Doors songs and they all sounded off. I used like 4 or 5 different tuners just to be sure. Even this cover by The Unknown Soldier sound a little off to my ears, especially in the beggining. Adjusting the tuner from 435hz to 445hz (Standar tuning is 440hz) it seemed to me that a lot of Doors songs were recorded in something between 440hz and 441 or 442hz. That's why the guitar sounds a little sharp.
João Martins Never had this problem as i can remember but i think it is because i play solos over them as a 2nd guitarist so i just bend it in the right note
@@joaormrt Often in the pre-tuner days the band would tune to a piano or something similar in the studio, unfortunately those pianos were very rarely perfectly in tune so records were recorded about as in tune as they could be.
They will have tuned to the organ (Hammond C3 in this case) which is locked to 440hz. The recordings are often sharp though, so the change came somewhere in the production process, probably due to analogue tape drives not being perfect.
Mikel Ramseur it just depends who you are really if you can watch and learn it then in a way it is if not then we’ll it’s a cover that’s what I did I learned how to play it just by watching it same with wild child riders on the storm and roadhouse blues
Underrated song, no 1 song of the Doors

This is cool... I wish I had an ear for the detail... But after watching this I can do this to a T... Excellent job and thank you!
Right on. That was cool. One of my favorite Doors songs
LEARNING BY WATCHING IS MORE BENEFICIAL
Excellent job on the fills!
This is groovy..you got the door vibe going on...really helpful!😊
Great Job!!! Please make a tab for the little solos thrown in there! Any form would be great for those that can't transpose by watching!
Looks like a bend on the 9th..hit a couple of more time then down 2 2 a single noted 7th followed by a aminor gminor back 2 d

Rainbow Bridge this is old, but there’s another way to play it without the bar, that sounds more droney and open, and better in my opinion
A little bit out of tune (probably the 2nd and 3rd chord) but nice!

I just tryed to play to it with acoustic and it sounded so off...is it in standard tuning?
yes man! it's standard

Krieger touch
Right for the most part. You missed a lead lick during key solo. Also, the last lead lick is wrong.
This is not a tutorial. It’s a cover.

Classic Rock you can still learn songs from covers but that doesn’t qualify it as a tutorial
