Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu for pointing out Zara for overpricing an underquality product... gosh whenever I watch people bragging about Zara in the video, I feel like throwing up... some products are worthit, but most of them are overpriced trash
Definitely disagree with Omega. I own a Omega Seamaster as well as a Rolex submariner. Definitely think the Rolex is much more overpriced. Omega is a great value compared to others.
I disagree with Omega. My Seamaster 300M has increased in value over the last few years. Not as much as my Rolex has, but still a solid investment. It all depends on which model you buy though. I also prefer Tommy John over Sheath and Me Undies. Better quality and better fit IMO. I do agree with you on Gucci, Balenciaga, Koio, etc.
@@diavalus It is really sad, because I started my fashion journey by watching Aaron videos (before he even had 800k subscribers). Now it’s mostly “women” videos to get views, and non-sense sponsors. There are much better channels out there to follow: He Spoke Style, Gentleman's Gazette and Sartorial Talks, depending on your style.
Have to disagree with the mention of Omega on this list. Yes their prices have increased, but so have their movement quality and general innovations in watchmaking. And although Rolex have a better brand power, even Rolex owners don't deny that the technology of Omega is much superior. As for affordable tee's, I used to buy lots of H&M & Zara...up until I discovered Uniqlo. It sits somewhere between them in terms of price, but the quality is of much more expensive brands. It's definitely worth a shot if you're looking for value for money clothing that'll last long.
I don't like Omega's style, but it's one of the best bang for buck watches out there. Coaxial escapement and all that, much better than Rolex at a third of the price.
Yeah you Omega fanboys don’t know what you’re talking about lol. The Co-Axial is all marketing BS. It’s less accurate than Rolex, has less power reserve, slower tick rate, and needs more moving parts to operate. The bracelets and clasps are all horrible except the one on the new Speedmaster. The cases sizes are massive and the watches are all poorly weighted. They use less premium materials on their dials and bezels, and their supplier for the Co-Axial movement is ETA hahahaha.
don't agree about varvatos in a sense. I always wait for the outlets to get last season and you can usually get stuff 70% or more off. Gotten a lot of his leather jackets for 1/4 of what they were originally listed at.
I will highly disagree on the one for omega. I think that the watches are definitely worth the price they are paying, and actually worth much more. I’m not surprised they depreciate in value after their preowned, that’s pretty much the norm with every brand except Rolex. Plus in my opinion omega watches are better than Rolex watches, especially the sea master versus the submariner. The sea master gives you more features, more options, as far as color strap, and case material, yet only charges more for either the bracelet or different metal options. Rolex will charge more for changing the color of the bezel.
Great topic, thanks for calling out these over priced, over hyped, poor quality brands and companies. What disappoints me the most about a lot of men's clothing is what happens after a few washings. Most of my clothing is washed in cold water and I use a good brand of detergent. And I never use the dryer. All my clothes are hung up to dry. The disappointing part of this story is that I still find seams coming apart, loose threads, and buttons that need to be resewed. And very poor quality zippers, (even in higher end clothing). Most main stream clothing companies have learned this about the way consumers shop. Make the design attractive, low pricing, cheap fabric and zippers, splash our designer name all over it, and they will buy.
Rolex totally ripped off Blancpain in 1954 and got away with it even selling it as their most popular model series. OMEGA all the way. They've been to the moon for fucks sake
@@johnnyyuma7337 still you buy one and it drops value people wanna sound intresting and rebelious but rolex is the top brand out there for a reason lol
Seeing the quality of your vids level up over the years has been great to see. Been loving the amount of graphics and wording you’ve added to recent videos. Helps it be digestible.
To anyone from Britain, I'd recommend Marks n Spencer, Next, Superdry. I like Lacoste, their quality is good, as far as denim goes, Jack n Jones. I've had a pair for 4 years and the color hasn't faded, they fit great and they cost me £30. Shop around gentleman. Remember, it's not so much what you wear, it's how you wear it.
Most big brands charge you for the label and not for the quality. I often ask my friends, what can an iPhone do that an Android can't? Apple fanboys reply with a counter question: Does a Rolex tell better time than a Casio? It's fashion over function, status over quality. Can big brands bring you high status? Perhaps. But aren't there other, cheaper, and even free ways to earn status and respect? Such as just by leading an honest life. Anyways thank you Alpha for making such eye-opening videos. When I was a teenager I used to believe big brands always implied higher quality. It's nice to understand how the consumer industry works.
I really hoped I was going to see MVMT watches instead of Omega... With Omega, it depends on what type you buy, but with MVMT you lost money even thinking about buying one.
In what world is Omega a rip-off? I’d be interested if you could name a brand that offers the same quality movement in that price point or lower. The drop in price was due to the availability of supply that Omega strives to provide customers who are interested in their products unlike Rolex which you cant buy any of the models at the AD, hence the price appreciates. A simple research would go a long way.
Being 100%, your take on Omega is completely wrong. For a multitude of reasons. Oh and not to be a dick, but you were pushing Vincero (and i think MVMT) watches. Regardless of why, that in itself kinda makes your opinion on watches irrelevant.

I can’t wear them more than a few hours. Customer service wasn’t much help, just agreed they were narrow. I am a long distance runner so I wear high quality running shoes so maybe I am use to a better fit. I did recently get Adidas 3.0s which cost less. They fit way better. Would like to see you a review on those. Anyway thanks for the advice.
Conversely, even though they're not high-end (for the money) I like Van Heusen shirts and Florsheim shoes. Of course, I'm not going to part with my 3 pairs of Thursday footwear! And as for jeans, I'll take Levi's 511s all day long. Heck, if you're really hard up for cash, the Levi's Signature slim-fit jeans at Walmart are a steal (just don't tell anyone where you got them).

I disagree about Joseph A. Banks. Their slim fit shirts are the best fitting shirts that I have found and their sport jackets are affordable, well cut (true to size) and quality made. During their Christmas sale I bought four blazers/sport jackets for as little at $99 each and they make me look and feel like a million bucks.

Hey Alpha, the jacket you wear this video, the color is tobaco, or what is the color of this jacket? I cannot find the color on the Thurday website matching with your jacket this video. Thank you very much!
I find a lot of bargains especially end of season! Always buy what fits good, comfortable, and keeps you in your budget! When it comes down to it... It really only matters to your taste and wallet 👍
I'm sorry but for someone who likes watches hearing Omega is overpriced while wearing a Rolex on your wrist is nuts. The fact that their prices drop doesn't have to necessarily do with their quality but rather their demand. Omega has been around longer than Rolex and was the one pushing watchmaking. Rolex although a great brand hasn't gotten it's fame by innovating but rather by very good marketing
Why are you picking on Omega? You know what’s a ripoff. Paying 40-50k for a grey market steel Daytona when you could pay 7k MSRP for a new Speedmaster from an AD. This is an absurd take.
I love America as you sell Levi and Wranglers dirt cheap! I love them! Quality is fantastic and here in the UK you're going to pay upwards of $60 a pair of jeans and or shirts.
I wish you would have listed more polo brands you love. That's where I struggle in the warmer months if I want to step up my look. Always great info, Alpha 👊🏻
Don't know if they still have them, but I bought all the colours options of polos at John Henric. Quality, fit, comfort, price all amazing. My only go to for polos now
What u missed about this video is that Louis vuitton, prada, balenciaga are not selling the clothing, they are selling the brand That’s a big difference
All luggage bags need to be given the airport test as they WWE your bags into storage. Nike and Vans shoes made in PRC are an utter rip off. Adidas shoe quality is good but the fit along with the natural movement of your foot is bad along side the issue that they deform as you wear it.
I buy, on occasion, the higher end brands you mention. You can find amazing drip but you do have to look for quality and luxury materials. Then it’s worth it. Outlet stores and lay season ales are your friends. Tip for ya’ll, stay in the accessories and occasion items. Don’t buy a $300 Burberry T shirt, get the belt, you get more wears out of it. Buy winter jackets in the May. Buy swimsuits in November. My pool fit should’ve cost well over $1k. I paid less than $500. Didn’t know the Louie V bag wasn’t leather. That’s insane.
One of the biggest rip offs was in your thumbnail. Nike clothing is flat out awful. The shoes are still ok, but the clothes lose color and shrink like crazy...Also Polo is sold at Walmart now so idk how people would complain about the price. Quality isnt very good but its like $15 for a shirt.
What is getting out of control is the marketing trends of designer labels and Men's clothing in general. The marketing is moving to a younger hip trend leaving older gentlemen to be left behind in the fashion realm. The marketing is causing me to leave brands that I, as a younger man, that I couldn't afford. As someone that has worked hard and now can afford better style, I do not want to be part of this trendy marketing but also do not want to overspend for stylish clothing. I'm getting a little distant from AE because of their marketing which is disappointing, their shoes are high quality and a good value due to the re-crafting aspect but the marketing for a $400 pair of shoes is disappointing.
Mr Alpha, I love you and your content long time. But if you are speaking about “ripoff” value of luxury watch brand like Richard Mille/Hublot or maybe even Rolex are more appropriate than to Omega.. IMO
I think that a total ripoff would be some of the Zara clothing, also suit places where I live in Montreal are a total waste of money, you pay close to 600$ , on top of that you have to go to their tailors so that you can have your suit the next day but you have to shell out another 200$, and the material lets not even go their. I am currently looking at suit styles so that I can go to Suit Supply and have three made which it would be the price of two suits at those other places after taxes.
Use to work at calvin klien, yea its super expensive for underwear. Seen alot of times people buy 4 pairs for like $100. Unless your buying the 3 to 4 packs for like 20 to 30 at a marshalls or ross or even just on a good sale, its expensive and not all that worth it.
Nike makes such a high quantity of clothing which are 💩 quality yet like more expensive than Adidas or puma which are better quality. Puma has the least variety but still it makes enough different ones. I'd go with that. Puma make the best quality lifestyle shoes whilst Adidas make the best training shoes or outdoors.
ALPHA YOU GOTTA STOP LETTING THEM KNOW ABOUT THE SHEATH!! Lol. Jk. I seen a UA-cam ad a few years ago and those are the ONLY boxers I wear. You can wear them using the pouch or wear them like regular boxers
This video has got me thinking Aaron. I really need to update my wardrobe but I don't have a lot of money or space to spend on outfits. What would be a respectable quantity of shirts, t-shirts, trousers, shorts and jackets so I can have a mix of smart and casual outfits without overspending?
One-three nice sets that match the season/event etc. keep color schemes close enough that you can mix and match. Also one nice jacket/shirt or good pair of pants can seal the deal and go less expensive on other items.
If you need a suit, and don't want to spend crazy money. Surf the internet, I know of one company, but they aren't paying me to promote them. 50.00 for a suit, you need to get it tailored to you, and it lasts. But if your in a position where suits are required. Def suit supply. I have 3 suits from them, and the fit well, needed only minor alteration. But very nice.

I got a jacket form a shop called Rod & Gun. It cost me $400 NZD. Its almost 5 years old and I use it all the time in the winter. It looks great, feels nice, prefect fit and looks brand new. Its 5 years old. Best jacket I ever got. Not the most affordable item but the quality is insane
Man thanks to your videos I find out more about life than after 11 years at school.
I feel like I wanna help people like u Fu so now I'm trying to grow a fitness channel hope it's gonna blow up soon
Cuts and Thursday Boots are my top two companies that I would buy clothing and shoes from. Suit Supply for suits. Perfect Jeans NYC for Denim Jeans. Express have some nice clothing and style. Accessories. Watches: Rolex, Tissot. Belts: Anson Belt. Wallets: Carl Fridrick. Sunglasses: JadeBlack.
I was waiting for this one. Yes!!!! Thank you!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey Alpha, the jacket you wear this video, the color is tobaco, or what is the color of this jacket? I cannot find the color on the Thurday website matching with your jacket this video. Thank you very much!
I had Meundies for years and after a few hundred washes, the underwear is faded. Recently switched to Stealth boxers which are amazing though $24.
I find a lot of bargains especially end of season! Always buy what fits good, comfortable, and keeps you in your budget! When it comes down to it... It really only matters to your taste and wallet 👍
I love POLO Ralph Lauren.
Me 2
I'm sorry but for someone who likes watches hearing Omega is overpriced while wearing a Rolex on your wrist is nuts. The fact that their prices drop doesn't have to necessarily do with their quality but rather their demand. Omega has been around longer than Rolex and was the one pushing watchmaking. Rolex although a great brand hasn't gotten it's fame by innovating but rather by very good marketing
Omega a rip off? Compared to all the Rolexes you own? Come on mate 😂
Why are you picking on Omega? You know what’s a ripoff. Paying 40-50k for a grey market steel Daytona when you could pay 7k MSRP for a new Speedmaster from an AD. This is an absurd take.
My go to t-shirt brand - Uniqlo. Specifically, the Supima Cotton t-shirts. Might be me paranoid wanting 100% cotton to avoid static cling
When he recommended a junk label like H&M over Uniqlo I almost stopped watching.
Great content as always. I'm going to have to try Suit Supply...
interesting, if anyone could send me the link where people are selling used Omegas for half of retail I'd appreciate it....
Where to buy jeans that are affordable size 32x28
Givenchy is to expensive for normal clothes wtf! I wish the normal brands make more stylish clothes.
After seeing your thumbnail i was curious to see what you had to say about Nike. Under Armour is very overrated in my opinion
And I'm going clothes shopping soon, I'm glad you came along 😌
@Brandon Johnson just because I like looking good doesn't mean I'm gay.
I actually put effort I'm how look unlike you
THIS is the reason why I still stick around with Aaron: brutal honesty!!
Also, I got my Thursday sneakers last month and it loves up to the hype 🙌🙌🙌
Other than all the clickbait
how much are you getting paid to say this lol
Rolex is rip off brand too..way overpriced
I love America as you sell Levi and Wranglers dirt cheap! I love them! Quality is fantastic and here in the UK you're going to pay upwards of $60 a pair of jeans and or shirts.
I wish you would have listed more polo brands you love. That's where I struggle in the warmer months if I want to step up my look. Always great info, Alpha 👊🏻
Peter Millar is my personal favorite. But they're not cheap. Crown Crafted if you want a fitted look.
Don't know if they still have them, but I bought all the colours options of polos at John Henric. Quality, fit, comfort, price all amazing. My only go to for polos now
just the sponsor
Any thoughts on Express clothing?
What u missed about this video is that Louis vuitton, prada, balenciaga are not selling the clothing, they are selling the brand
That’s a big difference
They are selling a status symbol
Leave my OMEGA watch alone 😭
Honestly H&M you get what you pay for, buy a 6$ shirt your gonna get a 6$ cheap quality shirt, I’d prefer UniQlo
Basically: My Sponsors good, all other brands bad. Heh, this is a 10 minute commercial.
💯
What do you think about Twillory ?
All luggage bags need to be given the airport test as they WWE your bags into storage.
Nike and Vans shoes made in PRC are an utter rip off. Adidas shoe quality is good but the fit along with the natural movement of your foot is bad along side the issue that they deform as you wear it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Or you could go to TJ Maxx (TK Maxx in UK)
What about athletic/workout clothing and shoes
One of the biggest rip offs was in your thumbnail. Nike clothing is flat out awful. The shoes are still ok, but the clothes lose color and shrink like crazy...Also Polo is sold at Walmart now so idk how people would complain about the price. Quality isnt very good but its like $15 for a shirt.
I never buy brand names. Not my style and I don't follow the mainstream crowd. I have my own thing.
Great video!
I own a few Lacoste shirts… I personally like them a lot. They’re not super cheap, but they are good quality in my opinion.
And you can do well buying them on sale.
Agreed, Lacoste shirts just fit me so right for some reason
Should rate some of the lower end brands coming out like True classic Tees.
IMO
💯 shout!. He's deffo in bed with rolex him like
Uniqlo is a better alternative than Zara in terms of quality & price
i have been using LV wallets for years. their canvas are much more long lasting than most leathers. give it a try alpha
Hahah keep telling yourself to justify your purchase. I have 2 and they both have rips my kohls wallet lasted way longer
DSW absolutely sucks. Charged me twice for a pair of new balance with a ripped up box and wouldn't even refund me for the double charge
@Mr_Alpha_M what is tele-gram?
@Mr_Alpha_M no I do not. Sorry
Good morning let’s kill the day🙏🏻
Disagree about the watch part but everything else yeah
Fun fact: fake cheap clothes in turkey looks totally real, and is even better quality than the original.
Use to work at calvin klien, yea its super expensive for underwear. Seen alot of times people buy 4 pairs for like $100. Unless your buying the 3 to 4 packs for like 20 to 30 at a marshalls or ross or even just on a good sale, its expensive and not all that worth it.
Is Gap still worth it?
Nike makes such a high quantity of clothing which are 💩 quality yet like more expensive than Adidas or puma which are better quality. Puma has the least variety but still it makes enough different ones. I'd go with that. Puma make the best quality lifestyle shoes whilst Adidas make the best training shoes or outdoors.
What are the thoughts on Brooks Brothers around here?
One big takeaway: Go for quality and not labels/name.
Inflation of currency has a lot do with the reduction in quality.
Any European car. Japanese is not as nice but is much more reliable and affordable.
@@dmoney3491 noted, thank you 👍
If you need a suit, and don't want to spend crazy money.
