Odsal Stadium is a piece of living history. It and The Oval in Belfast are the only remaining examples in the UK of what major stadiums were like before the Taylor Report in the 80s.
Before subscribing to your channel, I admittedly fancied myself somewhat of a stadium/arena aficionado. After subbscribing, I now realise just how elementary my knowledge was on a global level. I say this because I think stadiums are fascinating, as do you I can presume, as well as significantly more fans then I could have imagined, and with that in mind, and at the risk of sounding snobby, I thought I might share an idea I had with you to see what you think. I habe to imagine that although the amount of stadiums in the world is far more than I ever thought possible, that it is still a finite number that will eventually leave you thinking of ways to revisit some stadiums you habe covered. I have sometimes found myself neck deep in a rabbit hole reading about a single stadium for what seems like forever, so I would enjoy videos in which you take a DEEP dive into individual stadiums and all the information and history that comes along with them. I might be the only one pining for tgis, but at the very least it could prolong your stadium career, if that's still something yoh are passionate about
He promised it, he delivers it! Fun Fact: My team's home ground, Odsal Stadium's record attendance is 102,569. Second Fun Fact: it's a bit of dump haha
@@tigerwarsaw99 Those really were the days! Unfortunately, Bulls have had their academy taken away and they are semi pro now. Toulouse, Leigh and Featherstone will end up swapping places in the Super League for the next few years, they aren't good enough to stay up but the the gulf in class between those three teams and Bradford and the rest of the championship is immense. So, all in all, I can't see the Bulls getting promoted anytime soon unless there's a drastic change or a massive injection of funds
@@manning0 reminds me of the North Sydney Bears. After 100 years in the top league it doesn't sit right that they aren't there. Hope the Bulls find thier White Knight/Russell Crowe someday.
You have to go to Batley to believe the slope. Google Earth doesn't do it justice, it also makes the area around the ground look nice, which it isn't. Pity you didn't get a pic of Bradford's record attendance it's insane. 👍
I love these lower league stadiums either rugby or football, so much history and character compared to the top leagues where they all look pretty much the same.
Please can you updated version for 2024 season plus there’s also a League 1 below the championship which has some great stadiums too would be great to watch alongside updated championship version 👍👍
as a cricket fan IPL stadiums next? love to the huge stadium in I think it’s amenabad, I don’t think they’re playing this season due to Covid but it’s worth a whole video just about thst
Can we by any chance please get the best stadium in every Australian city, either that or look at Australian reserve grade rugby league stadiums (host plus cup and knockout cup)
You’re absolutely right pal, I’ve never seen another English person partake in a cup of tea, ear biscuits or drink bear….. we’ll not since not since I blinded myself in a horrible drunken accident involving tea biscuits…. A terrible episode, I don’t like to speak about it
Correction: RFL is not the same as RFU Championship, as RFL stands for Rugby Football LEAGUE, which has a grid similar to American Football, while RFU stands for Rugby UNION. One sport, with two different games.
Is it one of those that regularly got their windows smashed from place kicks? It happened the one match I played there as a kid and two other times as a spectator, and I've only been there no more than half a dozen times 😂

Don Valley Stadium (now Olympic legacy park) was the home of Rotherham United for 4 seasons whilst their current ground was being built

I believe Featherstone took the actual stand from Scarborough’s old ground, not just the seats.
Must have had a very strong roof rack.

You are right, the English drink Ale, Porter, Stouts and sometimes lager.
We try to avoid the light, tasteless Australian beers and wines.

Odsal is also host to BriSCA stock car racing, and has even held world championship races before
Will you be finishing the FCS stadiums and doing the WAC?

No idea where you've done your research, but Barrow has a capacity of 6,500 and isn't the smallest stadium in the league.

Some of us still think of Widnes as Naughton Park , guess some of us are just getting older and cling more to our history.
