That Yorkshire accent was actually pretty good. You waivered into Geordie a little at the start of sentences at first, but you got the hang of it pretty quickly. 9/10
For anyone who’s wondering, the totally wicked stadium is sponsored by a vaping company, and the Queen would never be so rude about our wonderful town. Partly because there are at least 3 other things to do here, but mostly because there’s no chance she’s ever heard of it. Thankfully most of the roof gap is filled now, it might be nice in Sydney but we don’t appreciate sleet in our faces playing Wakefield in February. Great vid mate 😊
I enjoyed this one. Would love to see videos on the NRL stadiums, especially for this year with all the unusual stadiums used. Would also love to see a video on ‘best cricket stadium in each country’s. I think that would be cool.
Saints filled in those gaps shortly after it was built as everyone got rained on or slipped when getting a pint. I mean the view it literally a Tesco and road and industrial Park so not missing much
Kirklees a.k.a. John Smiths is such an amazing stadium. I'd love to see it in the Premier League again but I can't see that happening for quite some time.
And had it not been for the pandemic screwing everything up, Lamport Stadium in Toronto could've been on this video. Toronto Wolfpack had made it to the Super League, but were forced to abandon the competition due to the pandemic, and got kicked out of the English Rugby League structure last November. The club ceased operations shortly after their expulsion from the RFL, but were revived in March of this year and are now the centerpiece team of the proposed North American Rugby League, which is scheduled to begin play next year.
@@RoseCityRebel Strangely enough, they failed to win a match in the Super League before the season was postponed, with a record of no wins and six losses. The League then expunged them from the records for the season, effectively erasing them from history. It should also be pointed out that those six losses were two more than in the club's entire history in League 1 and the Championship - four combined losses in three seasons.
Of course, six games does not a history make. Considering that their schedule was back-loaded with home matches, it's entirely plausible that Wolfpack would've won at least a few of their home Super League matches. But we'll never know how things could or would have worked out, and that's a shame. Considering that they were the first trans-Atlantic sports team of any stripe or spot for over nearly thirty years, since the World League of American Football, they deserved far more attention than they received, especially here in North America, let alone the fate meted out to them by the pandemic.
@@davidhart7792 With the CCCRL and the NARL likely to play a season this year (Toronto Wolfpack made a Tweet on that recently) I think in Canada, rugby league could be a top-five sport in Canada, but plenty of work needs to be done. I do not think there will be a transatlantic team again though when the Ottawa Aces XIII permanently relocated to Cornwall.
I love your stuff. One tiny itty bitty A cup size critique. Could you leave the size and location graphic up for the duration of the clip? I hope you have some obscure ones coming like India cricket or motor racing facilities of South America. Fun stuff like that.
Shouldve had the Toronto Wolfpack but that fell through From St. Helens and saints fan here GOOD VIDEO LOVE THE CONTENT!!! And the gaps between the roof and seats has now gone due to the design turned the stadium into a wind tunnel the cladding round the stadium makes it feel bit more cozy but yet its a stadium full of drunks and loonatics so not cozy at all still none the less a good stadium!
I'm surprised you didn't say Huddersfield and Wigan look alike. The LSV is nothing like Wigan, more akin the the Halliwell Jones. Ps, never go to Belle Vue. Shocker of a location... a nuclear bomb would improve it!
@@pirukiddingme1908 odsal was originally built for Rugby then they put a speedway track around it in the 40’s so id say its a Rugby League specific stadium
I didn't think there would be a better joke in the vid than 'welcome to the jungle, we can fix your hose', but it was topped by the Queen naming the St Helens stadium.
The terracing is interesting; when we had the Hillsborough disaster in 1989 there were moves to make all top two divisions of Football all seater, but Rugby League escaped this requirement, perhaps because the support is better behaved (though that wasn't a cause of Hillsborough), or the grounds don't get as full.. Now many, perhaps the majority, or lower league grounds in football have no terraces, due to many of the clubs having been in, or having aspirations to be in, the top two division... As you pointed out , 2 or 3 of these grounds are shared with football teams.
The annoying part is, Football fans have to rush their beer because they can't take it to their seat... so they get drunk quicker... so they act like arseholes. It's a vicious circle!
You can’t compare the two leagues. Based in towns along the M62 motorway in northern England, super league clubs average 8 to 9000 crowds, so these stadiums are about right. NRL averages around 13k so their stadiums will be bigger.

Another great video. I've been looking forward to this one. Hope to see the NRL stadiums soon.

Love watching stadium videos, but no one does them better than this channel, great humor, and knowledge.... Kudos, keep it up please! 💪

Super League teams voted against Toronto playing because they’re all pussies scared of losing to Canada

Great shame. It was an exciting time for the expansion of Rugby League. Perhaps it was the start of something big in North America, let's hope so.

Queen Elizabeth voice was spot on. I thought it was actually her at first.
Championship next ?
Why did you change that sweet sweet background music ? Whyyyyy ?

Do nrl stadiums
Great video but for totally wicked stadium the cladding has been added to be more enclosed
I can't wait for you to do the MLR
I love ur humour mate 😂
Worth watching for the Yorkshire accent alone! 😂
YAY YOU DID IT!
Can you please make a video about the Turkish SüperLig Stadiums?
Do Mexican Baseball Stadiums (include LMB (summer league) and LMP (winter league) because they all have incredible stadiums) 🙌
You need to submit that jingle to mend a hose
You should make a video about the Belgium pro league football 1A and 1B
When will you do Australian stadiums for Australian leagues
I have done the AFL and Super Rugby stadiums.
Please can you do updated version for 2024 season 👍👍
Rugby? Let's do this, m8. The kinks mention gets points. And the Queen's quote is one for the ages! What do you think Liz?!? LMFAOOO. Cheers!
It'd be cool to see a video on socon stadiums
that queen liz impression haha
Please do cricket stadiums next. Cricket stadiums are quirky and unique
Odsals a bigger Rugby only stadium than Headingley.. just saying
My bad, I didn't even know about that stadium. It looks interesting.
He did say rl specific tbf, and odsal is also a speedway track. Still a great stadium, maybe a sequel for the championship could be a shout

Aren't Bradford Northern playing at Dewsbury because Odsal is too expensive?

Weird one, but if you can, NHL Arenas would be pretty cool.
Mate have to do RFU Championship video (2nd tier of english rugby union)
As a Yorkshiremen the commentary on Huddersfields ground is way out of order
Please make one for the Eredivisie!
supper rugby stadiums please!
Saints ground has been filled in below the roomline.
Why do English grounds face east west?
Grounds in Aust face North South due to the sun
Do the big sky conference
Top 14 stadiums?
Great accent mate

God, I wanna punch the person who came up with "Totally Wicked Stadium"
You might kill her though. She's really old.
Please make a cricket video
Can we get college basketball stadium 🏟️?
SEC is coming soon. And if enough people are interested, we'll do more conferences.
I'm a St Helens fan and that joke about the Queen saying our stadium was totally f**king wicked was brilliant 👏😆
Some are football stadiums

NRL stadiums are easily 100 times better.

Bruh I thought this was about the super league with all those soccer clubs. SMH LoL
Wigan get battered everywhere they gooo everywhere they gooooo
Except at Elland Road.
Why did i think he would take the piss and show juventus,Barcelona and Real Madrid’s stadiums
Half of the stadiums are football stadiums
Rugby League stadiums are nothing compared to the Rugby Union stadiums in England.
Perhaps not, but the entertainment is a lot better.
@60s Man 60s Guitars Well said my friend.
Dw will never be a rugby ground, it’s a matter of time before the football club (who actually own the ground) kick them out 👌🏻👌🏻
Wigan will never be a soccer town.Ask anyone there.
I suspect a St. Helenzer
Rugby union is better. Change my mind.
It's literally just fat people lying on top of each other for 80 minutes while kicking the ball back and forth. Only internationals are entertaining.
Yes rugdy union is alot better, Tigers are greatest💪🐯
