The aerial footage just takes your vids to the next level. Snowbird seems to be a wild card when it comes to chasing the pow. You can hit a grand slam, or you can encounter poor visibility, wind holds, and avalanche mitigation both road and resort. I got to play it safe and stick to BCC for the pow days and hope to get a rope drop the next day at the bird.

You’re totally right Gary. When it’s good it’s goooood. But sometimes you get skunked.

Snowbird has always been my favorite resort, it was the first place I ever had a season pass, but it does feel super different today than it did 5 ish years ago, it feels a lot more corporate now. I used to get the chairs pass every year which was the most banger deal ever. It was like ~$450 bucks for unlimited days, no black outs, the only thing it didnt have was tram access. I still love skiing there, still my favorite, but just a different vibe now.

I’ve been riding the bird since 2018 and I have to agree.

@@BoredProgression feel like the gondola is an example of that change of vibe where Alta still feels very much like Alta, Snowbird feels more like deer valley or something..? my two cents

All of Utah has a different vibe now IMO. Less friendly, more expensive, WAY more people. Still my favorite place to ski, but the Alps are looking more affordable and less annoying every year.

@@SteveThompson-li2fc that’s crazy! how would you compare the snow in the alps?

The snow in Utah is better (champagne powder when you can get it) and usually more plentiful, but it is cheaper now to fly to Europe and ski there than it is for me to fly to Utah or Colorado and ski there. Crazy times.@@jgg0207

This is so cool man! You are ripping some sick powder! Your snowboarding is also phenomenal! I wish I could go to the meet up this weekend, which is coincidentally my birthday. The only problem : I live in the east coast!!! Have fun!

Great action footage on the steep downhills! Those powder runs are amazing! Adding some freestyle and side hits to the action makes it better…keep up the great work!

This might be the Best Snowbird Video ever. As always, your video vibe brings out why boarding is so therapeutic for the soul. Awesome cinematography and music, Dan. I so wish i could come to the meetup but will have to try for next opportunity since the PNW is home for me.

Jerry here. Well it’s day 9 of riding since starting to snowboard. 40 mph feels mellow, can carve on greens and blues. Made it down an ungroomed black today doing hop turns. I didn’t think riding a double black in 15 days was realistic but we actually might fucking do it. Ayoooooo. Edit: on the chance I sound overconfident I know I still suck if anyone has passes to a resort with double blacks I’ve only ridden at cherry peak. Sisters bowl at snowbasin looks like a good first!
