Following the "first time" in MiniVintage for F1, it's about time to talk about one of the craziest races that we remember with the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix. That season was remembered as the battle between Fernando Alonso and Michael Schumacher for the championship, but Jenson Button has a special race in his heart, and it's the 2006 Hungarian GP, his first ever victory in F1, and also the first podium for Pedro de la Rosa. Hungaroring gave us an incredible comeback from Fernando Alonso, who started 15th after receiving a penalty, and was leading the race... but a problem on his pitstop finished with the Spanish driver crashing into the barriers and Jenson Button leading and taking his first victory in F1. Those names sure bring back my childhood. I still remember how nice it was to see Button finally win. He often got podiums and never wins and I remember some saying he'd never actually win a race. Funny thing is that since I was 10 years old back then when Pedro De La Rosa got back, I remember thinking it had felt like literal eternity since the last time he drove in F1, even though he had been away only few years :D

Button started 14th, not 4th, due to a penalty for the engine

this is the first F1 race of Robert Kubica as well.
Button only changed for slicks after Alonso retired. He kept those inters in the pit shown here.
And as you can see, he didn't change the tyres at the pitstop scene
I know the next minivintage will be the 2004 Belgian Gp but I am still waiting for 1998 Belgian Gp

MSC passed under red flag in practice. That gave him a 10 place penalty. And ALO passed under yellow flag twice also in practice.
