What do you like about that? I found it a bit hard to like, given how it works, that you only have one Pokemon regularly assisting you and that you have to help people instead of it being an option.
I’m gonna say it: I played the first Style Savvy and I really liked it. I sunk a lot of time into my shop, partook in a lot of event stuff, entered a lot of fashion competitions, and I had a lot of fun. I’m upset it didn’t let you play as a guy, but still, good amount of fun to be had. Surprised to see it that far up the list, honestly. But Pokémon Mystery Dungeon and Pokémon Ranger deserved to be higher! I don’t blame Triple Jump for this, it’s the game critics who were wrong!
Dillon’s Rolling Western has so much potential honestly, I guarantee if it weren’t a tower defense game with a few beat em up elements but some sort of western adventure beat em up it’d be received a lot better The great character designs and western theme being loss in obscurity would be such a missed opportunity
I couldn't get passed the first Dillon Game since it was pretty difficult for me but what I played so far was pretty good. I am very curious about to story I hope I'll be able to finish it someday. The Demo for Dillon's dead heat breakers was so cool, I thing that scene alone is worthy to make a cartoon out of it.
For those who are wondering, if the 3D zelda games were listed separately it would be as follows: Zelda - Ocarina Of Time - 99 Zelda - Majora's Mask - 95 Zelda - Wind Waker - 96 Zelda - Twilight Princess - 96 Zelda - Skyward Sword - 93 Zelda - Breath of the Wild - 97 Average - 96 (making it the top)
F Zero REALLY needs to come back, (I've probably been saying this for about....15 years now?) Especially now days where "High skill ceiling" would be welcomed with open arms.
Mario and Link definitely stand as titans of the gaming industry. Their core games always seem to deliver (I personally liked Skyward Sword). Mario 64 was an amazing explosion into the 3D realm. I remember being able to simply enjoy running around Bob-Omb Battlefield without working towards a goal.
As a fan of Pokémon ranger, I got to say it would be fun to see it again on the switch with a new concept instead of the stylus, perhaps treating them like real animals where you have to tempt them with food or try to work with them properly without the use of a pokeball
I find it hard to believe that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door wasn't as critically acclaimed as the first Paper Mario. You didn't even mention it.
@@alexbenton6306 I can't for the life of me think of anything in the second one that was worse than the first one. Way better graphics. An even better hub town. And a much much better soundtrack. It's reasons like this that I take professional critics with a grain of salt.

They didn’t give the same courtesy to donkey Kong country. And they separated out new super Mario. It may have been the right call, but it wasn’t a consistent call.
If it were 2 then they would have added Endless Ocean, Steel Driver, Trace Memory, Hotel Dusk and much, much, much more. I'm kinda disappointed that they might have separated Osu Tatakae Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents as different series, but if they did then I understand.
I really like Dillons Rolling western. The tower defence/action gameplay just works so well for me and the games have so much charm. It really is unfortunate that the series is so unknown
I used to say Yoshi that way too because my cousins who got me into video games pronounce it that way in Spanish. Now I say Yoshi as in yo-yo. Also used to pronounce Bowser "Bo-ser", as in bow tie (Spanish pronounciation), until people kept calling me put on it since it's not typical in English lol
Paper Mario TTYD wasn’t my first Paper Mario game, but it was the first one to introduce me to a lot of RPG mechanics, mainly experience points. I never hated the newer games, but after playing TTYD, it was hard to go back. I guess the reason why it’s being hated on as much as it is nowadays, is that some people have played it and don’t really understand the hype around it. I’m not saying that they’re wrong for not loving it, though I can’t help but observe a growing distaste for the old games, as people vehemently defend the newer ones.
@@EthanTheGamer77 - I can understand that to a degree. EarthBound is my favourite game, but I can’t really bring myself to love its sequel, Mother 3 as much as many people do.
Good to see Golden Sun so far up this list. I hope that they release a compilation of the series on the Switch if they don't plan on releasing a 4th one.
It’s pretty great to see how high Golden sun ranked! There’s a lot of things that point towards Golden sun coming to the switch somehow (either a port, remake, or sequel). I’m pretty optimistic with that series returning!
As great as it is to see Justice for the Golden Sun trilogy, I would rank Kirby a lot higher than the middle of this list, even if I were TripleJump or anyone for that matter. Kirby sucks (literally), but that’s not the only reason why he actually rocks!
This is not a less than 100k views video. This is fantastic, well made and edited, and obviously took a lot of work! Thanks for putting out quality content!
Pretty solid list, although I wouldn’t say Golden Sun is canned. The takahashi brothers considered a fourth game if fan demand would be high enough even after golden sun underperformed compared to the first two series (albeit around 800k or so). So really it’s up to Camelot on the series’ fate.
When Ben said "you could even call it a" i had a small glimmer of hope, but alas, you could call it a $ missed opportunity for..no I'm not going to finish it
Even if it's at number 4, I somehow feel like Mother is being underrated. I've played loads of masterpieces, but none of them even come close to the sheer perfection of Mother 3.
Same it was legit the only game that ever made me cry. The only part I don't like is the New Fassad battle. Probably was in number 4 because of Earthbound and Mother having some flaws.
I liked Dillion’s Rolling Western but then again I got mine through the Nintendo Rewards program as a freebie back in the day along with the original Kirby GB game, and a really bad 3D classics game that I can’t remember what it’s called but involved punching and flower pots...
@@NowRacattackForce Yes that’s the one. I don’t really play it and moved it into a folder called “you suck”. It’s filled with bad games that were either rewards codes or discounts. Edit: In case people are curious about what games I have between my 3 3DS handhelds that are bad I have Yoshi, 3D Urban Champion, 3D Altered Beast, VC Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 Game Gear, Sonic Blast, Crazy Kangaroo, VC Legend of Zelda (I will probably get hate but I prefer the sequel), Sonic Boom Shatter Crystal (broke ass game makes 06 look like Adventure 2), Super Mario 2, Mario Bros, and many many more.

There has to be at least 3 games in that series and wii sports club was a remake so there's only 2 in wii sports, 2 in splatoon, 2 in Nintendogs, and only 1 in the ARMS franchise (obviously)
Because that would require for actual written back and forth dialogue between Mario and Sonic, and Nintendo is completely terrified at the idea of Mario speaking full sentences for himself. Even in Super Mario Party, when you recruit the characters as buddies in game, Mario is the only one not to actually say something.

mother is my favorite franchise ever- and earthbound will forever be my favorite game, but mother as a franchise is far beyond perfect. especially the first game, which even as a die-hard fan of the entire franchise, i find it a far-cry from both the later titles.
Kirby is number 1. I don't get as excited for a Mario or zelda title as I do for any Kirby game. I'm so sad he isn't higher... I play a lot and i mean a lot of video games but the Kirby series is one of my favorites next to undertale, persona 5, ace attorney, and earthbound.

I personally think Xenoblade would of made top 10 had it not been reviewed by a ton of people who don't like JRPG's. Due to X and 2 release times (both being the only big release at there respective times) they got a ton of reviews by non JRPG guys who weighted them down. The first game had the advantage of being a shadow release meaning big Nintendo reviewers skipped on it and didn't weigh its score down.
Correction: five. I found out just now that there's now a third Endless Ocean game on Switch. Also, a new Famicom Detective Club is releasing in a month, so it'll soon be six.

This is a really nice list, though I'm really sad you didn't mention The Thousand Year Door of Paper Mario. And I really loved Pokémon Mystery Dungeon as well, I prefer it over the main games and it has amazing and compelling stories, but that's your opinion. I think my favorite would be Fire Emblem, or Kid Icarus if it wasn't so forgotten. FE is my favorite franchise that isn't considered forgotten or at least underrated yet because it is very unique, relaxing, and compelling. I see why a lot of people find it bland or weird, but I really loved it a lot since I first played Awakening, it has a lot of compelling stories, a beautiful anime artstyle, a lot of good characters with some amazing character designs, some really relaxing gameplay (that is sometimes addictive in the case of Fates and Three Houses), and awesome music. Not only that, the fanbase is one of the few fanbases where I actually enjoy to be in, and overall FE is just a better Game of Thrones to me. Kid Icarus Uprising is my absolute favorite game of all time, not only is it my favorite on my favorite console, but it is fun, addictive, creative, and just something really special to me. I'm really sad it's really underrated, whenever I see someone praise it I cry a bunch of tears of joy. It's got my favorite Nintendo protagonist (Pit), and my favorite Nintendo villain (Hades). I love almost all the characters (except for Psudeo Palutena, I just wanna slap her in the face), and it has one of my favorite plot twists ever in gaming, where Hades turns out to be the real villain of the story. Nonetheless Kid Icarus Uprising is amazing and deserves more love and attention. I really wish it could get a sequel on the Switch, although Sakurai doesn't plan to. I think the best of all tho would be the Mother/Earthbound series. It's got a very dark and wonderful story, and AMAZING characters. Lukas and Ness are both amazing protagonists, with a lot to them. I always cry whenever I see Claus's death, and both Porky and Ninten deserve to be in Smash a lot. I think I have spoiled enough, but Mother/Earthbound is really underrated, forgotten but will always be a amazing series.
No the problem is it is not their opinion they just regurgitate the opinions of the game critics the same ones who have been shitting on the Pokemon mystery dungeon games for years despite the fact that fans love the games it is not their opinion they're just regurgitating what they read online without playing the game to make up they're own opinion
Bloody hell, that was good. Cheers gents, an hour well spent. I think labelling Donkey Kong 64 as part of the Donkey Kong Country series is a bit dodgy but overall I’m just happy to see actual spotlight on Kuru Kuru Kururin as it blags its way into the top half. Now we just wait for Nintendogs 3 and the whole list can be redone
Kid Icarus: Uprising is my personal favorite game of all time, so I'm glad to hear some praise for it and a call for a new game. Though I figured the top 3 were probably going to be Zelda, Smash, and a Mario franchise. They deserve it.

@Hope Bagel Well, that's not how a reviewer should work: they literally stopped playing the game after Apple Woods...
Me, a Pokémon Ranger fan: 😫😭

I agree that you should play and serve boys in Style Savvy. I mean, there are a lot of male designers and models... still a great series though!~
Dillon’s Rolling Western has so much potential honestly, I guarantee if it weren’t a tower defense game with a few beat em up elements but some sort of western adventure beat em up it’d be received a lot better
The great character designs and western theme being loss in obscurity would be such a missed opportunity
I love the second game so much even thought the final level of that game has an absurdly steep difficulty spike

For those who are wondering, if the 3D zelda games were listed separately it would be as follows:
Zelda - Ocarina Of Time - 99
Zelda - Majora's Mask - 95
Zelda - Wind Waker - 96
Zelda - Twilight Princess - 96
Zelda - Skyward Sword - 93
Zelda - Breath of the Wild - 97
Average - 96 (making it the top)
Thank you for this. This list was pretty flawed including every single LOZ game into one entry but separated the Mario games by their different types.
I dunno why Majoras mask scores so high that game is tedious as hell and only has 4 dungeons.

Splitting Mario into sides scrolling platformer and 3d adventure was the right call. These are two different genres that play very differently.

I don't want to be rude, but I think ttyd is overrated
it is refreshing to not see it for once in *my* opinion
Paper Mario TTYD wasn’t my first Paper Mario game, but it was the first one to introduce me to a lot of RPG mechanics, mainly experience points. I never hated the newer games, but after playing TTYD, it was hard to go back. I guess the reason why it’s being hated on as much as it is nowadays, is that some people have played it and don’t really understand the hype around it. I’m not saying that they’re wrong for not loving it, though I can’t help but observe a growing distaste for the old games, as people vehemently defend the newer ones.

It’s pretty great to see how high Golden sun ranked! There’s a lot of things that point towards Golden sun coming to the switch somehow (either a port, remake, or sequel). I’m pretty optimistic with that series returning!
What things are you referring to?

Why we're not getting a real Mario and Sonic crossover still baffles me.
Because that would require for actual written back and forth dialogue between Mario and Sonic, and Nintendo is completely terrified at the idea of Mario speaking full sentences for himself. Even in Super Mario Party, when you recruit the characters as buddies in game, Mario is the only one not to actually say something.

MOTHER is completely perfect. It deserves number one.
mother is my favorite franchise ever- and earthbound will forever be my favorite game, but mother as a franchise is far beyond perfect. especially the first game, which even as a die-hard fan of the entire franchise, i find it a far-cry from both the later titles.

SuperKidz mother 3 is truly great, but it still has several flaws. as does earthbound. like it said- the franchise as a whole is far from perfect

This video really shows that the players opinions on these games can wildly differ with the critics.
Over the past 2 months, when I go to bed I've been listening to Triple Jump videos in the background until I doze off listening to them. Recently, I've been listening to this & each and every time I've fallen asleep before I'm halfway through. I literally know so much of this video off by heart.
Omg style boutique is so nostalgic it was so much fun. In saying that maybe that is rose tinted glasses talking. 😂😂😂 My favourite Nintendo franchises are definitely pokemon and smash bros although I love mario galaxy and zelda wind waker too.
Sormon easily a top 10 and a top 5 at least for me
To be fair Torna was given the lowest score because it’s more of a dlc prequel then an actual new game.
Since this video was made, four franchises got their third game: Splatoon, Big Brain Academy, Wii Sports and Mario Strikers.
Correction: five. I found out just now that there's now a third Endless Ocean game on Switch. Also, a new Famicom Detective Club is releasing in a month, so it'll soon be six.
I'd appreciate this list but as we all know, Games Critics really can't be trusted
And they missed the Magical Series, among others.
