Great video of live editing (what really matters rather than export timings that the majority of reviewers show). Just wondering, how will it respond to a speed ramping? Will it play back at 24 ?
Hey there! I just bought this one myself, and waiting for it to be delivered. But i think i will return it, because some people says, that the laptop gets warm and noisy. Have you the same problem?
@@FrederikStendahl if they really announce them in October, then I would probably wait and see. I'm guessing there will be some nice deals on the M3s lineup anyway after the M4's release
Awesome video, real world tests like these are more important than render graphs 📊 The apple stores near me won't let me test all these things in the store, even though they expect me to drop 3.5K for a machine like that -_- Could you perhaps make a similar video with some animation and tracked titles over video in fusion? That's where the M1 dropped out when I tried it at a friend's house 😅
@@trent1847 as far as I know, you don't have to, because I set my input in Dehancer to the color space I was working on, which is Davinci Wide gamut. What I probably should have done is add the dehancer note at to end of the node tree (after the Rec 709 CST). 👍
Is 18 core gpu version of MacBook good enough for resolve and the various plugins? I am a beginner and trying to get into video editing, or should I go for max chip?
@@virajrana1865 Hey, thanks for commenting! You mean the M3 pro? Yeah it should be very good for editing as well, even if you need to edit at 1080p timeline instead of 4k. 👍
@@fonbismork1929 i know what you mean, but keep in mind the effects I used are very heavy, and the main goal was to push this laptop to the max. I always edit in 4k and generally have no issues. Some High end PCs will also struggle with things like noise reduction and such. I still think that for a laptop the performance is really good.

@@rakhithamanchanayaka6271 yep, it plays back wonderfully with speed ramps as well
Thanks for this ! :)

@@FrederikStendahl I have absolutely no issues with those things. I've basically only had the fan working once lol
@@fabvisions Okay nice! Maybe it's only a issue with the 14 inch. But do you think i should wait for the m4?

@@euphoriantraveller8651i kept the m3 max 😊

@@dzyanw thanks for your comment! Yeah I might do a part 2 of this video and test that out. :)
How much CPU and GPU does your computer have?
.
With dehancer, do you not need another CST to go to cineon film log like with Davinci's built in Kodak 2383 lut?

That's nowhere near enough to be a heavy grade. But thankfully you just convinced me to build a pc with a powerful gpu rather than get another macbook
So I buy a laptop for 4k dollars to down my timeline to 1080p. LOL it is ridiculous

No one render in 4K while editing dude….
