@SiLVERcoorE We in Russia never understimate Sweden! I think, swedish team is on the same level, like canadian or our. Well, it was very nice game! I hope to meet you again in final. Good luck and happy New Year!
This is far from the first time that the opponent can't keep up with the stamina of the Swedish team. I can't even count the number of times that Sweden came back like this in the third period. You haven't beaten Sweden until' the third period is over, not even if you're 3, 5 or 6 goals ahead.
@detvarsomkatten Nope The words translated back to English: Överlämna = Give over Uppgiva/Uppge = To give Hängiva = Dedicated Underkasta = Submit Frånträda = Vacate Ge sig = Give up No surrender.
@lucky440110 I used google translate to translate that and if I understand what you mean, no, Russia shouldn't of won that game. Sweden dominated from 10 minutes into the 1st period until the end. You should thank your goalie for not losing with 9-3. Also, your goals were just lucky.
No metter what and how wins... if you play against russia, having luck won't be enough. Swedens showed the character and i'm always happy for those who kicks russian's ass! :D
@kart433 6-1 Well we had a new coach and a new keeper and more than half of the team we had have never played in a nationalteam competition! + it was a miracle we even came to final. BUT the only way we can know who has the best team is if we take all the NHL players to our national team and take a match that would be fun =) 10-0 to Sweden then! I remember the olympic 2006. And when we won 6-5 when u had 1-5 lead! Go and hate somewere else and learn Swedish cuz finnish is FKD UP AS HELL!
If America's, Italy's, Spain's and Greece's youth were in possession of half the fighting spirit young people here in Sweden are, there would be no World economic crises. Hope you're watching, Mr. Barack Obama..
@Merecir I dont understand you, I only speak russian... lol ge upp??, to surrend... saken e den att det finns fler uttryck för att ge upp i engelskan som direkt blir ge upp... t ex give up, surrender. kan tänka mig att någon viktig-petter borde tycka det är korrekt att säga surrendera i svenska språket...
@lucky440110 Just face it. Russia and Canada is clearly the best nations in hockey. But underestimating other nations won't work. Russia played good the first 10 minutes of the game and Sweden took over completely after that. You can't always say that shots on goal decides how a game looked, but you can in this case. Russia underestimaded Sweden and they got punished for it.
Yup, all hockey goals in the history made by Sweden have been luck. The luck brought us all our medals and stuff, not our skill. I completely agree with you. You're still saying that we're good because of luck, which is not true. Jealous little kid. =D
Since you don't understand sarcasm at all you should go back to school. And most people say "we" when they are talking about their nation or favorite team. You told me that the lucky goal in this video was a typical Swedish goal, and if something is typical it happens a lot. I just wanted to make that clear, it seems like you're having a hard time understanding english.
Thanks to both teams for the excitement and the entertainment, what a great start of 2012!
Happy New Year to ice hockey lovers all around the World!!
Shots: 26-55
Justice in the end, Sweden were the better team that evening.
Sweden-Canada in the final.
Tack! :P
1) Intentional deflection (skill)
2) Own goal
3) Intentional deflection (skill)
4) Intentional deflection (skill)
@iRoxxor That's kind of the point of "throwing pucks on the net" sooner or later your gonna have bounces going your way.
the video has been on youtube for a few hours and the argue has begon bigtime, good luck with that^^
@detvarsomkatten

Man får ju fan rysningar!
@detvarsomkatten Nope

Hängiva = Dedicated
Underkasta = Submit
Frånträda = Vacate
Ge sig = Give up
No surrender.
Not going to lie, every single Sweden goal had some sort of rediculous bounce involved.
Hahah, Älskar Chris och Renbergs jubel!
@Merecir synonymer ju!!!
better than Bob Cole on CBC who mixes up players that are actually difficult to confuse :P
TSN only wishes they had commentators like these

@Rootiksurf Inga problem :)
There are no word for "surrender" in Swedish.
@detvarsomkatten Ge upp kommer direkt från engelskans give up.... Det är ju exakt samma ord.
Bättre kan du. Eller kan du det? ;)
@iRoxxor But sweden was the best team after the first period
@iRoxxor That's true, but after all the pressure they had on Russia, wasn't they worth it? :)
Vart kan man se matchen igen?
Swedes we will meet with you ......
Anyone know the name of the russian goal song?
@detvarsomkatten Jag är ganska säker på att han med "There are no word for "surrender" in Swedish." menade att att vi svenskar aldrig ger upp. (Precis som i videon.)
I just came here to say... 16 years it took... to GET 6-1!
Sweet tears of swedes, so delicious!

Oh yeah? You said "typical Swedish goal... soooo lucky...."
And by that you mean Sweden is lucky.. I DON'T THINK SOOOO
No im not.. It's just true. Swedish are good players but they have always a lot of luck
Yup, all hockey goals in the history made by Sweden have been luck. The luck brought us all our medals and stuff, not our skill. I completely agree with you.
