They were apologetic and not demanding as you said. I think being neighbors in a way really helped because you didn't really incur travel time, so there was less expense in keeping them happy. Now that you're a neighbor, hopefully they throw more business your way.
I lost a customer that was but honestly I don't care , people are always trying to ske advantage of someone , they always want more and more and more for less money especially the rude ones , I pack up and leave . You did the right thing tho
I personally would have taken care of the water spots but not the interior. My packages says there in big letters “DOES NOT INCLUDE THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE” lol but that’s when I’m doing a ceramic coating.
That’s why you put it in writing, create a quick bid invoice, email it off to them and get a signature. Everyone gets what they agree too and if they have issues hand them the SoW with the signature
For next time, your next customer when I do ceramic coatings, I do the whole entire car inside and out full package one price and I’ll be much easier for you👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Maybe did the inside for the miscommunication but def not the water spot removal. People always like to play dumb to get stuff for free. Once you did it once they will try and take advantage of you the next time too. I make sure to tell them this one is on me this time and next time this is the cost. That way there is “oh I didn’t know, or last time you did it for free”. When I speak to a client on the phone I make them confirm on text so that way them cannot go back and say they didn’t know was extra cost for water spot removal or and interior. At the end of the day you hopefully gained a client but it’s not a charity too.
Always communicate with the person who is paying… not the wife, son, nanny, or daughter. Also coming from the corporate world you always put everything in writing…
Yeah that was a good outcome. Customer satisfaction is a big deal, you win some and you lose some.
