Nice nice... well done.. I love that clicking sound... I would just like to feel how sturdy it is but instead i am just going to compliment you. Good job
Will it be possible to make only the seat plate on the X bottom bracket like in the Prusa XL? Why is there an engine, because you have to pull the wiring harnesses back and forth. May I have your "step" files for help?
It will be released when i finish x/y stage. That motor on upper part of carriage is extruder drive (1 motor for all extruders). Sorry but don't understand what do You mean by "seat plate on the x bottom bracket"
@@Olson_91 Did you ever realease? Just starting the toolchanger journey and by far yours is the most svelte one ive seen. Looks similar to daksh but the plate instead of pins. I wonder how it stays locked closed. and would fast vibration wobble the plate loose. bet theres magnets or ball bearings in there somewhere.
So it’s been a bunch of months now so how far along are you with this project? I’m very interested in this design. Could you share the mounting mechanism?
Today i receive back my profiles for frame (i needed to precise machine them to properly square whole frame) and I'm starting to building everything with photos and hardware list to make proper manual for assembly
@@timschafer2536 Yes. This idea was already implemented with my other toolchanger idea. You can see it in action in other video on my channel. This idea was driving 1.75mm extruders and 2.85mm with same motor ;)
Just make last week change in extruder drive on carriage for much easier assembly, but need to test it. Now there is channel in tool plate for hotend cables to avoid damaging them when tool is taken from docks . Finally make print cooling duct that is separable so only 1 fan for all hotends. And still i don't start to make manual for assembly ;)
It's hard to tell. Printer for now is fully working in theory. Everything is moving but not tested yet with printing because i have bed without heater and any build surface on it. On list to do is: - printer cooling duct -better z probe mount -find premade springs for extuder motor for ease of manufacturing -buy electrical stuff for heater bed and print surface
Hey! This is awesome! Do you have any update on when you are going to show off the internals? I just started designing a new printer a few days ago and have been looking for tool changer ideas. I just found this today. I thing this is going to be it! Would love to see how you did it.
Looking forward to the results. Tool changers definitely seem like the right path forward.

Thanks!;)
About sturdiness, You could use stiffer springs in tool part to increase force applied.
Is there something new maybe or is there a chance to get the stepfiles for a costom Projekt?
Bro that’s awesome!!

any update on this mate? this peaks my interest.
Nice design, what is the top green part? a self capturing coupling to the extruder?
Yes. It is self align coupling ;)
@@Olson_91 nice I saw it and immediately started thinking about designing my own for my jubilee, have you tested it yet?

Ooh you made it like Prusa! Can you show the inside mechanism? I'm curious if it works the way I think
I'm going to release it on github when i finish x/y stage. I still need to figure out mounting of endstops :D
@@Olson_91 awesome!
@@Olson_91 Very nice and clever design, I'am impatient to see it!
Oh does it have that one switch were it’s either the middle or left
There is no switch, it have spring loaded ball that is falling in holes in lock/unlock position
@@Olson_91 oh cool love the way it sounds
Did you make this work with klipper?
It is developed with klipper
@@Olson_91 nice! Is it still work in progress? Is there a way I can see the progress?

@@Olson_91 wow, that's cool! But I didn't understand, does it work with klipper now, or you're still implementing it into the code?
It is working with klipper without issues via macros, without any changes in source code.
Is it on github? Great work!
Still no. Too much is happening in my life at this moment and i don't have time to create manuał and bom.
Lovely mechanics, well designed product. I think this is the best solution so far. How sturdy is it? Is this without wobble? However I love this.

How did you fix the2 bars on the tool side ?
They are spring loaded from hotend
@@Olson_91 ok
So hows that going now any updatea or files to share :) thx
Starting to write down manual and checking all photos made during assembly. ;)
