I really like this movie, no guilt. It's a lot of fun and doesn't rely on the base premise. It both respects and adds to the Alien and Predator lore rather than contradict or flat out crap on the lore like the Alien prequels did. Charles Weyland is a nice addition, especially being the person the android Bishop was modeled after.
Calling this a "guilty pleasure" truly is a fine choice of words. I actually like and enjoy this movie very much since it adds to what's already been established in Alien & Aliens (even though they play further in the future) as well as Predator & Predator 2. I appreciate that it doesn't break established lore and the characters in this one were fine. And yes, lots of fan service but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
I love this movie, very good story, great character development, great action, and pretty good special effects. I think the aliens won on the one to one battles, without the predators main gun, one alien killed two predators. My favorite part is when the predator grabbed the alien by his tail, banged his head on the pillars and tossed his Butt down the hall. This is one of my favorite Alien/Predator movies, I give it a 8.5 out of 10.
Celtic and Chopper, two young blood Yautjas were taken down by one Xenomorph. While Wolf, an elite Yautja hunted and killed swarms of Xenomorphs. Also reveals just how deadly a single Xenomorph is.
I can see why it’s confusing about which of these movies are good. The answer is , some people have no taste and no common sense. They recommend bad movies because they don’t know any better. As far as the Alien vs. Predator movies, this one was the best. They go down hill from here. My advice is do not watch anymore. You’ve seen all the good ones. Lots of other good movies out there outside these two franchises. Looking forward to your reactions. Thanks Bunny !
I love how the Predator eventually saw and marked her as an ally, and the other Predators acknowledged that as well. I just wouldn't wanna feel the sting of that acid blood marking me.
It always makes me laugh how the predator roars exactly the same as a lion. Makes me wanna go hear kitty kitty, don't be afraid. I won't hurt you. Who's a good boy? XD. Btw, the extended cut fills in a lot of the blanks in this movie. There's a scene at the beginning showing the aliens fighting predators in 1904. Also when Sebastian is reading the hieroglyphs and explaining the story there is more detail. The main detail that is important is that the 3 predators in this movie are ranked as young bloods, basically teenagers and have not yet earned their honour and full rank. The pyramid is a trial for them to earn that rank which is why they don't start with the plasma caster gun, they must earn them.
This was my first Alien and Predator film before i saw the franchises growing up and I'm recently 26 now and I still enjoy this one. Fun reaction as well. Requiem is the second one
It's a massively underrated film. It's a perfect construction of action to pair with popcorn. Is it great cinema? No. But I think people ignore that it does a decent job of setting up some characters and knocking them down. For all the heat it gets as something that is "supposed" to be a bad movie, there just isn't actually all that much wrong with it. Heck, I'd watch a 1904 Predator movie at that whaling outpost where everybody dies instead of the usual story construction of one lone survivor.

Hey, Bunnytails! The team-up concept is from the Dark Horse Comic series that kick-started the crossovers although the setting is on a colonized world in the future. At the end, the female protagonist, Machiko Noguchi, travels with the Predator clan and learns about their culture but is never accepted by any other Yautja. It's fascinating stuff! You skipped an absolutely ESSENTIAL entry in the franchise that is necessary to see before the crossovers: "ALIEN 3: THE ASSEMBLY CUT"! It features THE SCREENSHOT that became emblematic of the entire franchise! Great concepts in this movie. "Chariots of the Gods"-type stuff! Yautja can capture and cryogenically freeze Queens. The gestation is accelerated for convenience either by genetic engineering or hormonal additives. We witness a Yautja rite of passage that requires the young Predators to best a xenomorph much the same way that Masai youth must hunt and kill a lion to become a man in the tribe. They use the alien's acidic blood for scarification to mark the kill or make a clan marking. Humans are seen as cattle but are a husbanded resource which is why they have the nuclear fail-safe in order to protect the wider world. It's also why pregnant humans are spared so that the livestock isn't depleted. We learn that infirm humans like Weyland are spared because such a kill is dishonorable. Same goes for unarmed prey which was established in "Predator". As established in "Alien 3", host characteristics are carried over to the chestburster. The drone in "Alien 3" was a quadruped because its host was an ox or a dog depending on the version seen. The Queen Predalien hybrid born of the Predator host in this movie has the mandibles and the dreadlocks of a Yautja! We meet the co-founder of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, Charles Bishop Weyland, who would later serve as the facial template for the Bishop android! We met his 22nd-century descendant, Michael Bishop Weyland, in 2179 on Fiorina in "Alien 3"! The Queen will freeze or implode in the Antarctic depths. Glad you liked this one. Don't care for it myself, I think the more you see Alan and Pedro the more you dilute their mystery.* But, that doesn't mean this movie sucks, it's a more or less by the numbers sci fi action romp and if you liked it, then that's great. Well, Bunny. Are you psyched for AVP 2? 👍😊 In case it didn't register in the last scene, the Aliens get some of their DNA characteristics from their host species.
If you decide to watch the sequel to this called Aliens v Predator: Requiem, then I recommend watching the extended version and then turning the brightness on your TV all the way up because there's a lot of dark fighting scenes you just can't see unless you have it on your bright settings. -OG
I saw this in theaters when I was in HIgh School. It looks a bonkers and edge of your seat as I remember, I also don't know whether it is a 'good' movie, but I enjoyed it a lot and I supposed that is all that matters. Loved your reaction as always, thank you!
Reminds me of the “Hitler Rants” video where he yells about being betrayed by Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, and says he hoped that: “..after AVP, finally an Alien movie we could be proud of!”.
Its totally fan service the movie. we were watching this movies development up until release and cant forget the interviews with the directors in like wizard magazine talking about being huge fans just like us. silly movie but fun avp romp.
And is terrible. It could have been a lot of fun if the sequel brought it full circle by having the predators hunting and being hunted by the Xenomorph that hatched on the ship.
But honestly, it's always the sound effects that gets to me every time with this movie. Despite the Predators' ruthless and aggressive behavior when they hunt their prey down, they all have a great sense of honor and fight with it. They never kill innocent, sick, unarmed people or pregnant women, and they show great respect towards those who have defeated their own kind. Which is why he wasn't going to attack the old man at first, not until he attacked him with fire did, he provoke him. However, after most of the humans and Predators are killed, Lex join forces with the sole surviving Predator after Lex kills an Alien that ambushes the two. Lex provides Scar with his plasma cannon while he makes her a makeshift shield and spear out of the remains of the dead Alien in return of her gratitude. Why did the Predator spare Lex in the end and left her unharmed. A Predator Ancient and his ship uncloaked, and his troops gathered up their fallen comrade. Before he departed, he gave Lex the retractable spear as a sign of respect, noticing the mark of a warrior which had been branded on her cheek. The Black actor. I can't remember his name off the top of my head. But I only recall seeing him play in one of my old childhood favorites movie slash series. It was called Dinotopia. God this was an amazing reaction. I love this crossover between the two series of Movies. Predators are tough and hunters by nature, but damn the Aliens still carry their own weight in strength and speed, but I don't know if the girl hadn't helped or if she hadn't been there to help, I think the Alien Queen might have survived. Hard choice to say which is best because they both have such high ranks and also their own skills in their environments, they both have that in common they can hunt just about anywhere there adaptable to any Climate. So, it's a hard question to answer which is best, but I have to go with the Predators being just a bit smarter than the Aliens but then again, it's hard to say the Aliens have their strange smartness too.
As much as I'd hate to say it, the only really good thing about AVP-R is the fight between the Pred-alien hybrid and the Wolf Predator sent to kill it.
Don't let people put you off watching Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem. Is it great? No, it has an IMDB rating of 4,6 for a reason 😉 But I think it's entertaining in a B-movie sense. If you can stand shaky-cam and dial up the brightness then you'll be fine. And it earned the R-rating 😃 Edit: 33:50 best reaction of your vid!
I liked this movie. Saw "Aliens" in the theater, loved the Predator Universe. Found the Graphic Novel of the first Aliens versus Predator story. SO excited when it was announced this film was coming out. Yes, it was really fun to me. But, I loved, LOVED the Graphic Novel. MUCH better than this film. Oh, and I really like "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem".
For me, this movie was a bit of a come down from the Graphic Novel. I was hoping they would just do a cinematic version of the novel rather than change so many things from the novel story line.
I thought the aliens could kill the predators just by drooling on them, but I might be wrong on that. Not sure what to make of the human/predator alliance, considering the predators used human sacrifices to breed their alien prey. I'm glad to see a "Space Seed" element at the end, and it would be interesting to see how that turns out. Did you notice that Lance Henriksen played "Charles Bishop Weyland" in this movie, and "Bishop" in "Aliens" (1986)? Ewan Bremner ("Dr. Miller", the Scotsman with the kids) also played "Charlie" in "Wonder Woman" (2017). Always glad to see his work. I suggest you check out "Prometheus" (2012). It's more sci-fi than horror, but you might find it interesting if you like the "Alien" movies. It has a fantastic cast, it was nominated for Oscar and Saturn awards, and it has pretty good reviews and ratings. Ridley Scott is apparently a producer for a TV series called "Alien: Earth" for which a pilot was produced. It should air on FX in the first half of 2025. It's intended to be a prequel to the original "Alien" (1979).
I think this movie is great. No need to call it a "guilty pleasure" because there's no need to feel "guilty" about liking it. It's not meant to be some grand achievement of fiction, it's meant to be f**king awesome, and it is. Now, "Alien 3"...that one might give you reason to feel guilty for liking it. But, if you're ever going to watch "Alien: Resurrection", then you need to watch it. The prequels, "Prometheus" and so on, you can watch those without watching any of the other Alien movies, but "Resurrection", if you ever plan to watch it, you'll need to watch "Alien 3" first. Honestly, it's not that bad; it's just...a little slow, compared to other Alien movies. Everything you like about *this* movie is absent from "Alien 3". On the other hand, it has some interesting worldbuilding and characters, which I've always felt are important elements of any story. All you need is to decide whether you want to watch it for the channel or not.
very good movie, fanservice but well done, That ending leaves you wanting to see the next movie Please when you react to its sequel (aliens vs predator requiem) watch the extended version, and focus on the predator, because it was due to the plot of the humans and the poor illumination of that movie, many do not recommend it, but forgiving those two details , the movie is good, and the predator (wolf) is 100 times cooler than the ones in this movie
U should watch AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem it’s not a fan favorite but it does have the GOAT film Predator of all time his name is Wolf followed by the Feral Predator. They need to make a tv series about his rise up the ranks followed by a movie
Great Reaction to a underrated action flick👍👍👍. My problem is it was too darkly lit. I think the people who didn't like it take it a little to seriously🤔 It's just a fun movie😊
Alex Woods and Naru by far superior characters to Queen Mary sue aka Ripley. Let’s talk about Alex she’s a survivalist and risk taker who knows her limitations she can think on the script didn’t make her a girl boss like ripley. Another reason why Alex is better than ripley is that she didn’t SOLO the Alien queen the predator helped her. It’s hard for a seasoned predator to SOLO a queen alien the teen predator Scar was more scared of the queen alien than ripley was. Alex knew she needed Scar’s help after she gave him his gun the only time she was forceful against towards an alien species just so she can survive. The other teenage predators Chopper and Celtic had no chance against an alien drones but ripley can solo a alien queen and survive being sucked into the vacuum of space while an alien queen was to weak to survive the pull of space where do they do that at. By the way ripley with her weak arm and leg strength was able to kick off the alien queen I’m sorry but ripley should have been pulled into the vacuum of space along with the queen alien. The only way to believe ripley survived those two movies is that she’s an omega level superhero the only being known to solo a alien queen and survive is the predator and maybe an engineer can do it but for sure predators can.
I was not a big fan of this one but watching with you I appreciate it more. There are a lot of reactors on youtube but yours are the best. Alien Romulus releases on Aug 16th so very soon I would highly recommend “Promethius” and “alien covenant” quickly. These are by Ridley Scott and part of the official Alien series. I feel AVP is outside of that.
The extended version of this movie actually shows us a tease at the beginning of the film back in 1904 with an alien xenomorph attacking a Predator at the whaling station. -OG
Just a fun dumb movie, if you don't think about it too much. Like the acid blood that could eat through several decks of the Nostromo barely burning human skin (when she's branded).
There's a community dedicated to hating Paul WS Anderson the director. They enjoy hating this. There's a sequel AVP2 Requiem which is universally loathed. Lance Henrickson and Bill Paxton were the two actors killed by a Predator, Alien, and Terminator.
I saw this movie with no info, not even that it existed. I just came up on some tv channel one cold winter night. And yes it was just friggin awesome!! Same experience for The Terminator and Pitch Black. Skip AvPII.
5:24 same tho. That’s real. Sorry to all the parents out there you might love your kids and think they’re absolutely so adorable. To me they are not unless they’re really something special. In fact high chances I do not enjoy your kids depending on how you parent. Pulling out pictures of your kids, trying to use them as persuasion, won’t work.
I would say watch AVP2 having just watched this, But I strongly recommend watching Phantoms, its a really good horror flick and if you like the guy it's Ben Afleck in his first movie appearance I beleive.
i think this movie is just kind of fanservice fun and leans into some of the ideas of the comics, the sequel to this "AVP requiem" is the one i think fell short
I won't even call it "guilty" pleasure. Cause it supposes that it's bad, but we like it. And I honestly, 1st degree, think that this movie is good at what it does. Yes, there is fanservice, of course, the very idea of a movie with the 2 monsters is fanservice in itself... But fanservice is not bad in itself. It all depend how you do it. And this movie does it good. The story never contradicts anything said prior to it in both franchises (isn't it Prometheus and Covenant ?), no retcons, nothing, it just builds up the lores. The behaviors of the characters are believable, giving what they know and how they are introduced. Yes they aren't as developped or as impactful as an Ellen Ripley or a Dutch, but that's not what we need them for. The fact that it seem to be too quick between the facehuggings and the chest bursting scenes is debatable... Because of the cuts, we don't know exactly how much time it was. And if in the first alien movie, it makes sense to take the time to narrate every moments, now it's the 5th movie in the Alien franchise, it's fair to assume that people seeing this movie know what's gonna happen. Thus, there is absolutely no reason to make them wait for what they came to see. So we both have a good extra-diegetic reason and an admissible intra-diegetic explanation.
To watch "Back to the Future" trilogy is super fun. Or stick with horror "Tucker and Dale vs Evil", "Killer Clowns from Outer Space", "Near Dark", "The Hitcher", "The Cabin in the Woods", "color out of space" 2019, "The Thing" 1982. Also, dude, get to Gremlins 2! Hey, have you seen "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"
I really like this movie, no guilt. It's a lot of fun and doesn't rely on the base premise. It both respects and adds to the Alien and Predator lore rather than contradict or flat out crap on the lore like the Alien prequels did. No Penguins were harmed in the making of this film.
2:00 Sir you are crazy / Siri you are crazy LOL 🤣
If you decide to watch the sequel to this called Aliens v Predator: Requiem, then I recommend watching the extended version and then turning the brightness on your TV all the way up because there's a lot of dark fighting scenes you just can't see unless you have it on your bright settings. -OG
Lmfao turning up your screen brightness is always the #1 prerequisite of that movie.
Or just don’t watch it, it’s terrible.
@@Temeraire101 nah it has Wolf in it he alone makes it pretty enjoyable
Wonderful reaction!! 29:46:- Priceless!! I'm looking forward to your reaction to 'AVP: Requiem - 2007'. Also, please do 'Equilibrium - 2002'.
I saw this in theaters when I was in HIgh School. It looks a bonkers and edge of your seat as I remember, I also don't know whether it is a 'good' movie, but I enjoyed it a lot and I supposed that is all that matters. Loved your reaction as always, thank you!
Your reactions were priceless and I enjoy this big movie.
Nice movie, I liked it.
Good evening, gorgeous Bunny
This is why you don't mess with Mother Nature's handiwork. She leaves things the way they are... FOR A REASON!
BunnyTails - AVP came out way Before , Predators movie.
35:44 "AVP:R" takes place about 10 seconds before the end of this film.
No, it has an IMDB rating of 4,6 for a reason 😉
But I think it's entertaining in a B-movie sense.
If you can stand shaky-cam and dial up the brightness then you'll be fine. And it earned the R-rating 😃
Edit: 33:50 best reaction of your vid!
Ah, the *good one* of the AVP movies!
Excellent choice. 😀😀
I thought you would like that one, that's the 3rd on my list of favorites. AVP 2 is no contest compare to 1 but enjoyable in it's on way.
Alien: Romulus comes out this Friday BTW
A big rule in these kinds of movies is never show a picture of your family. It's often a death sentence.
As for the second AVP movie...you can just skip that one. Seriously.
Director Paul S. Anderson… did all the Resident Evil movies…..
check out the extended version :D
Nice reaction waiting for part two
very good movie, fanservice but well done, That ending leaves you wanting to see the next movie
Please when you react to its sequel (aliens vs predator requiem) watch the extended version, and focus on the predator, because it was due to the plot of the humans and the poor illumination of that movie, many do not recommend it, but forgiving those two details , the movie is good, and the predator (wolf) is 100 times cooler than the ones in this movie
This movie was ok better than most , but they should have stopped after Aliens! You are so pretty!
U should watch AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem it’s not a fan favorite but it does have the GOAT film Predator of all time his name is Wolf followed by the Feral Predator. They need to make a tv series about his rise up the ranks followed by a movie
Yeah basically the queen isn't going to die. She's just gonna freeze at the bottom
We love you Bunny and all the reactions you share with us are amazing and well worth any wait.
absolutely
Agree 100% !
BUNNYTAILS from my vantage point Alien VS Predator by the numbers 70% hated it 20% enjoyed it 10% don't remember watching it.
My suggestion is check out the Batman vs Predator collected comics. They are really good. The one with The Huntress is the best one.
there are two franchises i think you will like, each consists of 3 parts, it is the maze runner and divergent
I just love Bunny's reviews :) Deeply honest and to the point.
Never forget lord Ridley Scott's commandment that AVP is an abomination. Ha Ha
I would say his Covenant is even worse, but yeah...
Solid reaction Bunnytail.
Great reaction to a enjoyable crossover movie great action and special effect but the PG 13 rating hurt it Big thumbs up
I was not a big fan of this one but watching with you I appreciate it more. There are a lot of reactors on youtube but yours are the best. Alien Romulus releases on Aug 16th so very soon I would highly recommend “Promethius” and “alien covenant” quickly. These are by Ridley Scott and part of the official Alien series. I feel AVP is outside of that.
Thanks!
Did I see a flash of Morticia-like enjoyment in your eyes? You may be tending towards the dark side after watching all these movies.
The extended version of this movie actually shows us a tease at the beginning of the film back in 1904 with an alien xenomorph attacking a Predator at the whaling station. -OG
You know bishop is based off Mr. Wayland
Lance Henrickson one of 2 men to be killed by a Terminator, a Predator, and Alien. The other being Bill Paxton R.I.P.
what a distinction! 😆😆
You must admit, the Predators are very honourable, compared to humans.
I've run across many movies that people didn't like, but I thought were good.
I saw this movie with no info, not even that it existed. I just came up on some tv channel one cold winter night. And yes it was just friggin awesome!! Same experience for The Terminator and Pitch Black. Skip AvPII.
Even though it got cancelled, Raised by Wolves is worth a watch.
AvP is divisive because, as you said, "it's fun". Alien movies shouldn't be fun.
A great moviie
5:24 same tho. That’s real. Sorry to all the parents out there you might love your kids and think they’re absolutely so adorable. To me they are not unless they’re really something special. In fact high chances I do not enjoy your kids depending on how you parent.
Pulling out pictures of your kids, trying to use them as persuasion, won’t work.
Wieland industries is the company in the aliens movie, and Mr Wieland is played by the same actor that played bishop in aliens
Aren't the androids (bishop model), copied off their creator Mr. Weyland?
@@Embur12 Not sure,it could be
Wayland-Yutani.. and that’s the other part… the woman from the end of the movie.
good movie.
“Guilty pleasure” That is the perfect description for this movie. Like you, I enjoyed it for what it was. Fan service with an interesting enough plot.
Please watch Prey! Its one of the best predator movies!
I recommend "Soldier" 1998 with Kurt Russell.
Its just a fun movie and theres nothing wrong with that
Nice shirt
Best one up to now, since 3.
This one is the best of the series.
I also hope you will watch the second Tron legacy movie it is a great sequel.👍✌
To watch
"Back to the Future" trilogy is super fun.
