Hey there wonderful friends, I am Zaine and I love talking about sci-fi and thriller movies that left a lasting impression on me. Some of the movies I cover are great and some not so much, but their story is amazing and regardless of their rating they deserve a place on this channel. That being said, you will definitely love this channel because it is related to: movie recap, movie recaps, sci-fi recap, sci-fi recaps, story recaps, story recapped, thriller recap, thriller recap, mystery recaps, mystery recapped, film recap and film recaps. Don't forget to subscribe to the channel because you do not wanna miss the stories that I cover: bit.ly/RecapNe...

The point of my videos is to introduce people to amazingly written stories that will make them think and enrich their filmography just a little bit more. I do not wish to deflect any attention to the movies that are being covered, I have the greatest appreciation for them and I wish you go and watch them after you finish watching my videos.

TV Show - Electric Dreams - Episode: Human Is ( watch till the end to see the twist )
There is a closing line in the book when she asks if she can continue to call him 'Silas', and he says 'Whatever makes you happy' 🙂
The point that I think some people miss is that Rexorians were fighting to keep what was theirs against an invasive species (humans). The climax of the story is that Vera proves Silas is human by saying that Silas showed selflessness in saving someone, to the point of self-sacrifice, but the twist is that she knew he was Rexorian. Why is this important? Because the humans exhibit such xenophobia (remember when given the choices of negotiation versus stealing and warfare, most of the humans opt for the latter because they feel it's their right to survive) that they believe Rexorians are heartless, when it's proven they are not. The Silas infiltrator tries to save his own Rexorian brethren, AND he tries to save Vera, a HUMAN. She in turn shows HIM something... her willingness to save HIS life, even though she knows he's a Rexorian and likely killed her husband. It shows that there actually is hope for both species as they can come to a common understanding when you strip away the xenophobia.
I like that he gave her the love, passion & tenderness her husband never did.
I can see this episode every other month, it's that beautiful - the pacing, the acting, the music, the story itself!
General Olin looks familiar. I think the actor is the same guy who played Ser Davos from The Game of Thrones? 🤔
Yes
How arrogant we must seem to claim positive universal traits as uniquely human while always exhibiting the worst sides such as greed, hate and jealousy.
That's a typical pilgrim for ya.😅😅😅
After half a lifetime of watching scifi, that's the ironic reality of humanity that so often ends up accidentally being shown.
So many movies and stories meant to demonstrate the open-mindedness, growth, and steadfastness in adversity but so often it shows how unprepared humanity is in dealing with the future, with just a few paragons who have to pull humanity kicking and screaming onto a somewhat better path. And even then it's tough to take seriously paragons who seem to have some kind of divine protection and just kinda fall into all those things that make them what they are.
And that's nothing to say about all the vestigial brainlessness of everyone else that apparently seems to be a cornerstone of the human condition.
All these stories of patting ourselves on the back, unwittingly proving through sheer obliviousness both how deficient we as a whole really are and how unprepared we are to grow and master ourselves.
Still just slaves to emotions, instincts and thoughtless impulse, just like any other animal.
I saw this. It was hauntingly beautiful.
Betray humanity for some xenos. Heretical indeed.
that must be some good xenussy
Isn't it humussy?
Xenock
10:18 in other words, a reverse Shiboleth - she couldn't pronounce the Rexxorian name.
This was a very good movie. I would not be adverse to seeing it again.
