Wow, impressive! Didn’t realize the depth Shep has and his achievements. Loved hearing his story and seeing his growth. Seems he lights up when speaking about travel and writing. ❤ Great show and I am now a new subscriber 😊 Thank yall from Georgia ❤
“The microphone has been given to the fringes” resonates so strongly! Shep’s an obviously self-entitled “don’t tell me what to do” rich kid, but he has a decent perspective on life. He makes for great TV. I love Southern Charm!!
I love seeing your personal growth, Shep. I'm really rooting for you. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing so much. I wish the best for you going forward!
Whether or not a person has children is a very personal choice but you absolutely do not need children to leave a legacy. You can leave a legacy through philanthropy, writing, artwork, community work, your extended family. The world desperately needs good resourced people who are available to do that kind of work. Not everybody needs to be a parent and the pressure that's put on people to do that causes a lot of problems in the short and long term for the parents and the children and then the children when they become adults. For people who are not going to be parents, they have to find a way to live a healthy balanced fulfilling adult life WITHOUT using a spouse and child as a crutch or an excuse to guide their everyday choices. If you find ways to give back and dedicate your life to that, you can heal yourself and do a lot of good -- and leave a lasting legacy. Of course if you want children, go for it, but don't succumb to the social pressure of people who really are never going to do anything special and who don't have the capacity to do anything other than being parents. No shade to them, we need them too obviously -- But their answers may not be your answers! If you have other things you can do and other things you want to do, you just need to make sure that those things are working for the greater good of you and everyone around you. Who has a more enduring legacy than a Great American Writer!? Sounds like you could be cut out for exactly that and possibly would be a better fit than family man. Good luck to you in your journey and decisions, and thanks for entertaining us on SC 🌙🌴‼️
First of all Thank you for your service! Good job Sir with your interview. I’ve watched Shep from the beginning…I realize it’s only snippets of his life but anyone can see his growth. He’s Always had a good Heart. I hope he finds a lady who is equally yoked and has a family one day. I believe he’d be a great father. Not to mention he’s from “good stock” so likely his children could contribute greatly for our future. He would discover the World all over again through his child’s eyes. It changes Everything! God bless
Very good interview. Thanks for always sharing Shep. This fan and old retired nurse got a bit worried about you. Was hoping the reunion really would begin a reset. Good on you, it's showing!
I hope Shep is doing well. He sounds fantastic. Is he still watching how much he is drinking? It sounded like he had developed a serious problem. I wish Shep all the best.
I understand how Shep feels. I don't easily fit into 1 box either, but a part of me deeply respects family. I think it's a fear of feeling locked into 1 reality that might let you down..
Shep is an addict of alcohol. Plain and simple. He needs AA. He will never be able to move forward with his life if he cannot accept he is an addict and accept he cannot drink not even a drop of alcohol for the rest of his life. He has so much potential - it's a shame. Hearing him put the burden on his friends and family to help him "not drink so much" is not fair to them. Hearing him put the guilt on his friends and old girlfriend for not being there for him to help him quit is an admittance he has no desire to stop. It's his responsibility to quit. No one else can convince him of that than himself.
Took My son at 6 yrs old to psychologist for hyperactivity, doc didn’t want to give him Ritalin so I said, let me leave him here for an hour! I came back and he emptied the water cooler while the doctor answered a phone call 😂hes been in the Navy for 8 years!

I was just talking about Shep the other day and here’s the algorithm serving him up. Shep’s always a good time!
Love hearing about Shep’s family history 😊
I don’t know who the host of this podcast is but he reminds me of Kelly from below deck. Very militant, even in the way he speaks.

You would be the best travel buddy! Smart and sassy
It seems as if ayahuasca really worked for Shep.
Jada pinket smith claims she does it like once a month.

I wanted to be interested in this interview, but alas... I'm bored to all get out.
Thanks for informing us when you could’ve just left and not called someone’s life story “boring”.😳🧐
