In 1974, we had an light blue, Oldsmobile Rocket 88, a car with fins to drive around. It belonged to one of my dorm friends,....it had been his grandparents car. We only used it to get groceries or beer. Most of the time it was parked under a dormitory on the East Green.

Oh wow. It's been years since I've been here. Last time I came home was..um, early 2010s maybe (maybe 2013 since it was the first reunion) for AHS reunion. Wow quite a bit changed. That Taco Bell on Court Street's now a Chipotle? Super Duper on Stimson is gone. I hope Goodfellas is still Uptown. Hoping to visit there soon. Heard Donkey's still there. it's so weird seeing my hometown now. Still want to take my wife to Larry's Dawg House lol Editing to note that Baker Centre is now Schoonover now?? Oh wow. So different.

Thanks for the memories. I attended OU in the 1970s,.....visited there often afterwards,.....had friends who moved to Guysville and Stewart,....after college. I'd visit and stay in the cheap motels outside of Athens.
I live in Athens County where I work and live on my own since 2010 8 and I hang out with favorite people and I have been working for holzer for 13 years now I'm not making this up at all because I really do my best for the people I worked with for 13 years and I take the bus to work every day except for the weekends off from work and holidays and next year it will mark 14 years since I started working at holzer

There’s a 5x3mm plaque on the Monument honoring my juvenile residency, 1968-1971…
lived at Union and Steward in 1970. I am surprised the house is still standing
