    I wish people realized that Dr Phil doesn’t care about them.

    • @Hollyucinogen
      @Hollyucinogen 15 днів тому +11

      Most people nowadays know that Dr. Phil is trash. It started with Danielle Bregoli in 2016.
      Also, he knew that Turnabout Ranch was abusing their underage clients, but he kept sending people there anyway. One of their clients had asthma and was being forced to do manual labor in the Arizona summer heat (stuff like shoveling horse manure for 8+ hours a day), and he had an asthma attack and died because they wouldn't give him his inhaler. If I can recall correctly, they attempted to claim that they thought he was faking it for attention.
      Paris Hilton was at a similar camp for troubled youth ("Provo Canyon"), and she made similar allegations. Actually, I think there's a whole documentary about it on Netflix called "This Is Paris". The famous tattoo artist Kat Von D was there too, and she also made similar allegations. She said that it was "the most traumatic six months of her life". She reportedly has PTSD from it.

    Here's another mention: Judy Garland. Although she is best remembered as Dorothy Gale from the Wizard of Oz, it was hell for her making that film, she had to take barbiturates to come off as thin and whimsical, she was sexually harassed, and nearly worked to death. After the Wizard of Oz wrapped up, the harm Judy endured never went away, no amount of fame could reverse pain she endured at the hands of the studio system, her spending and addictive habits cost her millions, by the time of her death Judy was down to pocket change, she lamented that the worst thing she did was "Sing Over the Rainbow", truly one of the most tragic celebrity falls in American media.

      I read a biography about her a few years ago. The drugs and alcohol did not help her in life, but a lot of her financial troubles occurred because she got REALLY bad financial guidance throughout her life. People, including one of her ex husbands, made bad decisions on her behalf, people she put her trust and faith into and who took advantage of her. At the time of her death, she had only about $50K left to her name. Her daughters ended up selling off a lot of her personal items to pump money back into the estate so her heirs could receive their inheritance. A sad legacy to leave behind after having a pretty successful career.

    • @purselmer5931
      @purselmer5931 18 днів тому +13

      Agreed. Judy Garland was a true victim in every sense of the word. Yes, she became a drug addict b/c she was MADE to be one by her mother and studio heads who pumped her full of seemingly everything they could find to keep her weight down and her energy up. They'd even then drug her to go to sleep. This poor beauty, w/a voice that remains unmatched, didn't have a chance in h*ll. NO ONE looked out for her or had her back. Jesus, even her own husband, mother and studio head insisted she abort her pregnancy when she was young. The cruelty she endured....tragic.

      If you have your health, you are alive and have people who care about you, you have a lot.

Apparently Toni Braxton insisted on performing at small local venues during the height of her career. The music studio was hesitant at first because there would be no profits made by this insistance. But the music studio went over her contract. A week later the music studio said "Sure. Go ahead."
    A few years later she finds out that all those local venues she insisted on performing, the cost for each performance came out of her share of the profits and not studio's pocket. Toni Braxton screwed herself big time.

    Amanda Bynes is the saddest. Such an amazing little girl. As she grew up, the men in the business used and abused her. She became pregnant by obe of the men (possibly/probably by Dan Schneider and was forced to have an abortion, I would be messed up too.

    TLC only have themselves to blame for their failures. Back in the beginning former singer Pebbles aka Perri Reid at the time was a record producer. Pebbles told TLC members there is a music contract offer and Pebbles strongly advised TLC to each get a lawyer before signing set record contract. Pebbles speaks from her own experience. But NOPE. TLC didn't take the advise to heart and just blindly signed the record contract just so they can get some fast money.
    At the time Pebbles husband L.A. Reid was TLC's music producer. TLC's Rozonda Thomas chose to sleep with L.A. Reid causing the divorce of L.A. Reid and Pebbles.
    In the end TLC only have themselves to blame for their failures. Should've hired that lawyer!
